Apprenticeships: Grow Your Skilled Workforce 

ECC’s apprenticeship programs offer a structured approach to developing a skilled workforce by combining 

classroom instruction with on-the-job training. As a registered apprenticeship sponsor, ECC manages all the 

paperwork required by the Department of Labor. Apprentices earn a Vocational Certificate or an Associate 

of Applied Science degree, along with a certificate of completion from the Department of Labor. 

With ECC’s apprenticeship program, your business can: 

• Increase employee morale and loyalty by investing in their development. 

• Fill your talent pipeline and allow experienced workers to pass on their knowledge. 

• Customize training programs to fit your needs and processes.

The Illinois Small Business Development Center 

(SBDC) at Elgin Community College is here to

enterprises. Our robust services and expertise

The SBDC at ECC provides no-cost business 

advising and education to help Illinois small 

businesses succeed. Our tailored, one-on-one 

advising and workshops are available in both
