A Voice Rooted in Faith and Passion

Soul singer and songwriter Shunbrea

28, 1993, in Coldwater, Mississippi. Her

journey into music began at the age of

five when her mother encouraged her

to sing a song for Easter Sunday at

church. That moment would ignite a

passion in young Bre that has carried

her through her life. From that early

age, she became a staple in the

church choir at New Independence MB

Church, where her love for singing

As Bre grew, so did her musical

influences. She found inspiration in

Brandy Norwood, whose style and

A Legacy in Motion: Roy Watt’s Journey of

Family, Trail Rides, and Togetherness

Roy Watt’s life is a testament to

resilience and the power of family. As the

sponsor of trail rides and bonfire events,

Roy brings people together in ways that

honor both his upbringing and his late

brother, who was instrumental in

starting these gatherings. For Roy, these

events are much more than just trail

rides—they’re celebrations of

community, memories, and the bond he

shared with his brother. The gatherings

have become symbols of his family’s

love for the land and their deep

connection to the traditions that brought

them together from a young age.

The tradition of hosting trail rides and

bonfires began as a family effort.

Alongside his brother, Roy created these

events as a way to bring families

together, just as they had been doing

since they were boys. Growing up

surrounded by horses and the outdoors,

Roy and his brother embraced the rural

lifestyle, and their bond grew stronger

with every event they hosted. Their

connection was especially profound, as

the two shared an unspoken

understanding of their shared goals and

love for the outdoors.

The family gatherings took on a new meaning when tragedy struck. Roy’s

brother passed away in a devastating accident involving a horse, leaving a void

that could never be filled. The loss was profound, but Roy found comfort and

purpose in carrying on their shared vision. Now, every November 9th, which

would have been his brother’s birthday, Roy hosts a trail ride to honor his

memory. This annual event serves as a tribute to his brother and their shared

legacy, celebrating the unity and joy they sought to inspire in others.

Roy views these events as more than just gatherings—they are his life’s calling.

In his own words, he was “born and raised” to bring families together. Each trail

ride and bonfire is a reminder of his roots and the values instilled in him from a

young age. Through these events, he channels his passion for connecting

families, creating a space for people to relax, bond, and make lasting memories

with loved ones.

The gatherings have grown over the years, with families from all walks of life

coming together to celebrate, relax, and enjoy the company of others. With each

event, Roy’s dedication to his community and family becomes ever more

evident. His commitment to preserving the traditions he shared with his brother

has turned these gatherings into something larger than life, resonating with

people and bringing joy to all who attend.

In a world that often moves too fast, Roy Watt’s trail rides and bonfires offer a

chance to slow down and cherish what matters most. By bringing people

together, he not only preserves his brother’s memory but also continues to fulfill

his lifelong purpose. Roy’s journey is a story of loss, love, and legacy—one that

reminds us of the beauty of family, tradition, and the power of a shared purpose.
