Welcome to THIS ISSUE OF BBT Monthly
Hi BlueBlooders,
October was on the disappointing side with no winners unfortunately, just
some very close calls. As we all know, Racing is a game of swings and
roundabouts so we are looking forward to bouncing back this month with
some great results for our Owners.
We have some superb 2 and 3yo’s very close to making their debuts so keep
your eyes peeled for our colours!
Our recent Open Day in Melbourne attracted a large crowd and I’d like to
thank all for making the trip to the Inglis complex at Oaklands. Guests were
treated to some delicious hospitality, fabulous insights by our Trainers and
got see some exciting young horses on parade. Host Dean Pettit did a
sparkling job as host providing the audience with valuable knowledge mixed
in with some comic relief.
So many shares were snapped up in what is a fantastic time to buy, with our
early ‘24 yearling purchases now 2 years old giving buyers a clear picture of
what they’re getting into.
We are so happy with the development of each and every horse on offer.
There are still some fantastic opportunities to get into a good one but as you
would understand, there are very few shares left in them, so be quick.
Our cover model is a well related, magnificent 2yo colt by Farnan with Gai
and Adrian. This guy oozes class out of every pore. Read all about him in
this issue and make sure you watch the video of Adrian Bott’s glowing report.
EXCITING OPPORTUNITY!
Sometimes people have to wait a lifetime until an offer like this presents itself.
A well bred, fast, ready to race, in-tact colt, with Gai and Adrian by a Golden Slipper winner who's
stallion career has started with a Gr3 placing from just the one runner.
He is days away from debuting, more than likely in the $500,000 Inglis Nursery
at Randwick on the 7th Dec.
You only need to listen to Adrian Bott talk about this colt in the video below to realise what a
brilliant opportunity this is.
He's had two impressive jumpouts and is now ready to trial, so don't hesitate
as someone else will snap up your dream.
We desperately need him named in order to race so we need to account for the last remaining
shares. For this reason we have discounted his price by a massive 10% making a 2.5% share
just $11,000. The offer is only available until Stakes Day at Flemington, Sat 9th of Nov. This will
look very cheap if he wins a Group race, let alone a Group One!
This colt's Dam is a city winning Fastnet Rock mare who has produced 2 to race. Both winners,
incl. Gr3 winner / Gr1 placed Sunsets and his Sire is the Gr1 Golden Slipper winner Farnan,
(Adrian's 1st Slipper winner) who looks like he will make a massive impact on the breeding scene!
MELBOURNE OPEN DAY
What a fabulous event our recent Open Day was in Melbourne. We paraded some
magnificent young horses in front of many guests and all had a fantastic time. The food
was fantastic and we were treated to some great insights from our Trainers.
Our host Dean Pettit did a great job keeping the crown entertained and it was so
pleasing to say the enjoyment on everyone’s faces when they got up close to the horses
at the end of the day. Make sure you don’t miss our next one!
CONNECTIONS CORNER...
The horses are our lifeblood and
the Owners are our oxygen, so
we thought it would be a great
idea to introduce to you some of
the people who make BlueBlood’s
the success it has become to
date. In this issue, we meet...
Damien
Wood.
How long have you been an Owner with Blueblood Thoroughbreds (BBT)? Since 2021
What got you interested in racing and then ownership? Growing up in country Vic I had a job as a
strapper at 14 my interest in horse racing grew from there. It wasn’t until 2021 I decided to get involved
in ownership with BlueBloods in a horse named Zoukeeper.
How many horses are you involved in currently with BBT? 4
What do u look for when you buy into a horse? Pedigree & Trainer. Also what state the trainer is in.
Which horses that you've owned with BBT have given you the biggest thrill? They’re all a joy but
looking forward to Twin Turbo’s next upcoming hearing good repots that the break has done him well.
Which race would you most love to win and why?Any Group 1 race would be amazing to be a part
of. The journey of getting there would be a great experience.
How would you celebrate a nice win by one of your horses? Depends how big the win. It’s either
shout the bar first round or all night! Then I’d have a look at buying into another one.
Do you have a raceday superstition? No, other than never go the early crow.
Who is your favourite Sire? So You Think
What is the best part about being an Owner with BBT? BBT are very informative, provide good
advice when required. They also have an interest in what happens to the horses after their career ends.
