Through regular theatre performances, students learn to 

express themselves with confidence. Both primary and 

secondary students take part in musicals and concert 

performances. The Christmas concert is the festive 

highlight of the school year. 

Visual Arts: 

In kindergarten, children can experiment with 

texture, colour and form in a special art room. 

In primary and secondary school, we offer a wide range 

of creative activities such as freehand drawing, painting, 

photography and printmaking. This gives students indepth 

knowledge of various visual art forms and allows 

them to further develop their artistic skills. 




Sports 

At LIS, physical development starts in Kindergarten, 

where students have their own dedicated spaces for 

sports and physical activity, fostering early skills that 

continue through our competitive sports program in later 

years as part of the German International School Sports 

Tournament (GISST). 

Sports Offered: Kindergarten learners enjoy ageappropriate 

physical activities in dedicated sports areas 

as well as swimming lessons in EY2. This foundationa 

evolves into participation in sports like Football, Volleyball, 

Basketball and Swimming.

garden to connect their studies with real-life natural 

processes, from understanding where their food comes 

from to learning about plant growth and ecosystems. 

Green Team Leadership: What began as the garden 

team has evolved into the Green Team, a school-wide 

initiative focused on sustainability. 

Sustainability Projects for Older Students: Older 

students lead projects such as building compost systems 

and constructing a stage, applying practical skills to 

real-world challenges as part of the Green Team’s 

efforts. 

Community Involvement: Parents actively support the 

garden through weekly Garden Workouts, keeping it 

flourishing. 

Annual Garden Events: The garden’s produce is 

harvested and turned into products, which are sold 

at the annual farmers market, helping students learn 

about sustainable practices and entrepreneurship.
