Emperor Group employs over 9,000 individuals worldwide, with seven of its companies
listed on the Main Board of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited. Their portfolio
encompasses a wide range of sectors, including entertainment (such as talent
management, movie production, distribution, media and cultural development, and
cinema operations), real estate development, hospitality, property management, gaming
services, fine jewelry and watch retail, and chain retailing of upscale European furniture,
along with financial services. Emperor Group has established itself as the most prominent
and active entertainment company in Hong Kong and across pan-Asia. And it is named as
the next rising star in the real estate sector.
Despite the ongoing economic downturn in Hong Kong, they successfully sold 123 residential
units at One Jardine's Lookout in Happy Valley—one of the city’s most luxurious districts—
within just six hours, generating a total gross revenue of US$128 million. Additionally, their
luxury property at 15 Shouson Hill achieved the highest transaction amount in the Hong
Kong Island district both in 2023 and 2024.
Their film, The Last Dance, grossed over HKD$7 million on its opening day, marking the
highest single-day earnings in the history of Hong Kong cinema. By the early morning of
the second day, the box office surpassed HK$10 million, making it the fastest film to reach
this milestone in Hong Kong's cinematic history.
The uncertain economic landscape presents challenges across their business ventures—
including real estate, entertainment, and luxury goods—but they have successfully
navigated numerous difficulties in Hong Kong, such as SARS, COVID-19, social unrest, and
the 1997 financial crisis. They view the current economic downturn as another opportunity
to innovate, develop new business avenues, and refine their organizational structure and
portfolio.
