How to enrol 

Courses colour-coded green allow you to enrol online at wvr.ac.uk, over the telephone 

by contacting us on 01925 494 400, or by visiting our Warrington or Winsford campuses. 

Please note that adult community learning courses do not offer a formal qualification/ 

certificate upon completion. They are designed to be fun and teach you new skills. 

For courses colour-coded blue, you can enrol over the phone by contacting us on 

01925 494 400. 

For courses colour-coded red, you will need to complete an online application at 

wvr.ac.uk or call into our Warrington or Winsford campuses. 

For courses colour-coded yellow, you will need to complete a written assessment before 

you can enrol. 

Courses colour-coded purple are Advanced Learner Loan funded - Study now, Pay later. 

You will need to complete an online application at wvr.ac.uk or call in to our Warrington 

or Winsford campuses. 

You may choose not to apply for the loan and therefore pay for the course yourself via 

monthly instalments.

Warrington & Vale Royal College will inform applicants of any significant changes prior to the start date of the course. 

College is closed for the Christmas break from Thursday 19 th December at 3.00pm until Monday 6 th January at 8.30am. 

Financial support and funding 

Your course may be FREE * if you are in receipt of an income-based benefit 

or in employment and earning less than £25,000 (£33,958.60 if you reside 

in Liverpool City Region Combined Authority) per year. 

There are also a number of funding options in place which, if eligible, will enable you to 

study now and pay later, pay in instalments or not have to pay at all! What’s more, you may 

be able to access a wide range of finance and funding support to help you during your time 

at college from the further education bursary fund.

If your course is over £100 you can pay in instalments. The duration of the course will determine the maximum number of instalments 

over which fees can be paid (maximum 8). You will be required to pay the first instalment at enrolment. *Terms and conditions apply.

Eve Brosnan 

Level 3 Human Resource Support Apprenticeship 

Eve enrolled on this apprenticeship to enhance her knowledge 

of people management and progress her human resources 

career. Upon completion, she hopes to progress on to the level 

5 apprenticeship and gain the internationally-recognised CIPD 

Level 5 Associate Diploma. 

She says: “My tutors have been exceptional, so supportive and 

patient.” 

Stephen Parry 

Level 2 Certificate Patisserie & Confectionery 

Stephen chose to study this course to expand his knowledge of 

baking in a structured and supportive environment. After hearing 

positive things from friends and family, he travelled to Warrington 

campus from Northwich to study the course, where he benefitted 

from the industry standard facilities and expert teaching.

Join us for two festive afternoons in December and create your very own 

Christmas decorations! With guidance from our expert tutor, you’ll master 

the techniques to design ornaments that will beautifully adorn your tree or 

home - or make the perfect gifts.

• How to craft unique, personalised decorations. 

All materials and equipment are provided, and you’ll leave with stunning creations and new skills 

to use every Christmas. 

Christmas Crafts: Pop-Up Christmas Cards 

Join us for two festive mornings in December and design personalised 

pop-up Christmas cards that your friends and family will love! With expert 

guidance, you’ll learn to create cards with precision and creativity. 

What you’ll learn: 

• Stencil, grid, and construction techniques 

• Accurate measuring and design for that perfect 

pop-up effect 

• How to add your own personal touch to every card. 

All materials are included. Bring your ideas or use our inspirational images, and walk away with 

beautifully crafted pop-up cards to share this Christmas!
