start their new life,
moved into a newly
refinished beach
house with lovely
wood floors. With
Christmas approaching,
they decided
to surprise their
children with a new
puppy.
They took the young
dog down along the
beach for a walk.
The moment they
returned, the puppy’s
boundless energy
filled the house, happily
running around
with the family.
The father soon realized
that the playful
pup had scratched
the newly refinished
wood floors.
“Oh no!” exclaimed
the father, “Sandy
claws have ruined
the floors!”

With that the doctor
picks up an otoscope

inspection, the doctor
says, “It looks like
there’s some sort of
object stuck in your
ear.”
The doctor grabs a
pair of tweezers and
proceeds to remove
the object carefully.
As he pulls it out,
the doctor looks at
it closely and then
exclaims, “It looks
like a suppository!”
Old Albert looks
closely at the suppository,
and then he
looks at the doctor
and says, “Doc, can I
use your phone?”

There was an elderly
couple, Rose and Martin,
who in their old age
noticed that they were
getting a lot more forgetful,
so they decided
to go to the doctor.
The doctor told them
that they should start
writing things down,
so they don’t forget.
They went home and
Rose told her husband
to get her a bowl of
ice cream. “You might
want to write it down.”
“No, I can remember
that you want a bowl
of ice cream,” Martin
replied.
Still here after
99 years!

Rose then told Martin
she wanted a bowl
of ice cream with
whipped cream, “Write
it down,” she told him.
“No, no, I can remember;
you want a bowl
of ice cream with
whipped cream,” he
said.
Then Rose said she
wants a bowl of ice
cream with whipped
cream and a cherry on
top. “Write it down,”
she told Martin.
Again, he said, “No,
I got it. You want a
bowl of ice cream with
whipped cream and a
cherry on top.”
Martin goes to get the
ice cream and spends
an unusually long time
in the kitchen…over 30
minutes. He comes out
to his wife and hands
her a plate of bacon
and eggs.

then looks at her
husband and asks,
“Where’s the toast?”

Cherry Tree

Barry and his father
live in the country.
They must use an
outhouse which Barry
hated. It’s hot in the
summer, cold in the
winter, and stinks all
the time. The outhouse
is sitting on the
bank of a creek and
the boy determined
that one day, he
would push that outhouse
into the creek.
After spring rain, the
creek was swollen so
Barry decided today
was the day to push
the outhouse into the
creek. He grabbed a
large stick and started
pushing. Finally, the
outhouse toppled into
the creek and floated
away.
That night his dad told
him they were going
to the woodshed after
supper. Knowing that
meant a spanking,
Barry asked why.
The dad replied,
“Someone pushed
the outhouse into the
creek today. It was
you, wasn’t it son?”
The boy answered
yes. He thought for
a minute and said,
“Dad, I read in school
today that George
Washington chopped
down a cherry tree
and didn’t get in trouble
because he told
the truth.”
The dad replied,
“Well, son, George
Washington’s father
wasn’t in that cherry
tree.”
Watch where you light the Christmas candles this year, you don’t want Santa to

Christmas. As they
gather, they discuss
the thoughtful gifts
they plan to give their
beloved mother.
The first, Milton, said, “I
built a big house for our
mother.”
The second, Gerald,
said, “I sent her a Mercedes.”
Providing a warm and comfortable
home for our residents.
The Chapman House is grateful for
the patronage and support of our community members.
The Chapman House has private rooms available
for residents, aged 65 and older, who need
assistance with bathing, medications, and meals.

and verse, and the
parrot recites it.”

sent out her letters of

built is too huge. I live
in only one room, but I
have to keep the whole
house clean!”
“Dear Gerald,” she
wrote the another, “I
am too old to travel. I
stay home most of the
time, so I rarely use the
Mercedes.”
“Dearest Donald,” she
wrote her third son,
“You have the good
sense to know what
your mother likes.
The chicken was

caught on your
mirror!”

bacon, hash browns,

“Sounds good,” Kim
said. “But I don’t want

“Then I’ll have to
charge you $6.99 because
you’re ordering
à la carte,” the waitress
warned her.
“You mean I’d have to
pay for not taking the
eggs?” Kim asked
“Yes.”
“Then I’ll take the special,
Kim ordered.”
“How do you want your
eggs?”
“Raw and in the shell.”

said he’d make a
deal with his son,

grades up from a
C to a B average,
study your Bible a little,
and get your hair
cut. Then we can
talk about the car.”
Tom thought about
that momentarily,
decided to settle for
the offer, and they
agreed. After about
six weeks, the dad
said, “Son, you’ve
brought your grades
up and I’ve observed
that you have been
studying your Bible,
but I’m disappointed
you haven’t had your
hair cut.”
Tom replied, “You
know Dad, I’ve been
thinking about that,
and I’ve noted in my
studies of the Bible
that Samson had
long hair, John the
Baptist had long hair,
Moses had long hair,
and there’s even
strong evidence that

as the nonprofit’s new
executive director who also
is director of events. “It is
a pleasure to work within

in the Lewiston/Auburn
area,” said Shanahan.

experience in the nonprofit

from a shop window.
For a second, everything

cab. Then the driver
said, “Look, mate,
don’t ever do that
again. You scared
the living daylights
out of me!”

apologized and said,

little tap would scare

A couple were going
on vacation together,
but the wife had an
emergency at work.
So, they agreed the
husband would go
as planned and his
wife would meet him
at the hotel the next
day.
When the husband
got to his hotel and
had checked in, he
thought he should
send his wife a quick
email letting her
know he’d got there
ok. As he typed in
her email address,
he made a typo, and
his email was sent to
someone else’s wife.
It just so happened
that her husband
had sadly died just
the day before.
When the grieving
wife checked
her emails, she let
out the awful loud,
piercing scream, and
fainted on the floor.
At the sound of her
falling, her family
rushed into the
room.
They tended to her
and then looked at
her computer and
saw this email on her
screen:
Dearest Wife,
Just checked into
my room. Everything
is prepared for your
arrival tomorrow
P.S It sure is hot
down here.
