The Learning Adventure began providing school trips and educational tours

in 2011 – and since then, we’ve taken thousands of students from all over

the world on academic travel programs. Many of our growing team come

from an educational background, and most of us interact with teachers

every day. We understand the rewards and challenges of working in the

education sector, so we aim to support you as much as possible in planning

your next school trip.

This brochure outlines a selection of our school trips to Asia - however, we

can customize any tour for you globally. What’s more, all of our school tour

itineraries are fully customizable in line with your budget and requirements,

so please reach out to us to discuss your needs.

You may notice that itineraries in this brochure do not have prices attached.

This is because each tour is customized specifically to your requirements

and can vary depending on departure date, number of students, travel style,

activities included and guides required. However, we always ensure that the

price we quote is the best price available as we want as many students as

possible to experience an educational trip abroad. If you would like to find

All-Inclusive Trips

Most schools book all-inclusive trips. We cater for all dietary

requirements, provide a variety of transport types, and include

all activities and transport. We can also arrange trips that allow

groups more flexibility.

Our payment plan is flexible and we understand that every

institution is different. That’s why we endeavour to organise

and arrange a payment plan that works for your group.

Unlimited Quotes

To get your trips just right, we revise itineraries as many times

as necessary, commitment- and cost-free. We do this because we

understand that itineraries may need to be approved by several

members of senior management.

Pre-Departure Meetings

To prepare students and parents for departure, a member of our

team can come into your school to present on the trip ahead.

We provide information on the learning objectives, packing list,

flights and methods of contact. This will also be included in a

pre-departure pack.

Varied Travel Styles

We cater to all travel styles, from hostels to four-star hotels.

Accommodation must meet our standards and students never

share rooms with the public or the opposite sex. Whether you

choose private or public transportation, we only use reputable,

safe and trusted modes of transport.

On-the-Ground Support

We have offices in Asia, Europe, Australasia & the US, so we

are always on hand to help during your trip. Your dedicated

Adventure Leader will provide on-the-ground support during

your trip.

Flights

We can book ATOL-protected flights as part of your package.

We have special access to group rates, which streamlines the

process and means that full payment is not needed up front.

This allows you to delay requesting payments from parents

and manages your workload.

Our Adventure Leaders make sure that every part of the tour is a

success. All our Adventure Leaders are selected for their ability to

connect with and inspire students and deliver an exceptional

educational experience. Adventure Leaders manage the day-today

logistics and safety on tour, helping ensure your programme

of activities runs seamlessly from start to finish. We only hire

exceptional people and some of our Adventure Leaders have been

working with us since our first trips departed. Our Adventure

Leaders know their locations inside-out, undergo our in-house

training programme, and work closely with the rest of our team to

understand your specific learning objectives and on-tour

requirements. We have over 100 Adventure Leaders worldwide

who might be showing you around their home city!

CHINA

CULTURE SCHOOL TRIP TO BEIJING,

XI’AN AND SHANGHAI

The sheer scale of China makes it a fascinating and enriching

destination for any school tour. On this 10 day trip, students

explore the varied and rich heritages of Beijing, Xi’an, and

Shanghai, learning more about Chinese tradition through visits

to key sites and immersive hands-on experiences.

Don’t forget that all our itineraries are fully customizable

according to your needs and budget.

AT A GLANCE

DAY 1-3

Beijing: Meet your Adventure Leader, and

take a guided tour of the Hutongs. Learn

language basics in a Mandarin class, visit the

Temple of Heaven, and take a calligraphy

class. Visit the Forbidden City, and see a

traditional Peking opera show.

DAY 4

Spend a day hiking the Great Wall of China.

DAY 5-6

Xi’an: Pay a visit to the world famous Terracotta

Warriors, before participating in your very own

terracotta making workshop. Explore the Muslim

Quarter, bike the old city walls, and visit the Great

Wild Goose Pagoda.

DAY 7-10

Shanghai: Take a guided tour of the People’s Square, cruise

up the Huangpu River, and explore the Yu Yuan Gardens. Try

traditional hotpot, take a Lujiazui tour, and enjoy a cooking class.

Visit Zhujiajiao Watertown for a glimpse of old China, before

exploring the Cheng Huang Temple.

ROBOTICS & STEM TRIP

TO TOKYO

This sample Robotics & STEM itinerary shows students the

best of technological innovation in Tokyo, enhancing their

understanding of modern developments whilst also providing

them with a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in

Japan’s rich culture and heritage.



AT A GLANCE

DAY 1-2

Tokyo: Meet your Adventure Leader, and

take in the views from the Metropolitan

Goverment Building. Take a sightseeing tour

of the city, visit the Skytree Town Campus,

explore the iconic Sensoji Temple, and visit

the Konika Minolta Planetarium Theater.

DAY 3-4

Take a trip to Science Square Tsukuba AIST,

explore the National Geological Museum, and

join a tour of the Astronaut Training Facility at

the Tsukuba Space Center JAXA. Visit the Meiji

Shrine, the TEPIA Advanced Technology Gallery,

and see the iconic Shibuya Crossing.

DAY 5-7

Learn about transportation technology at the Maglev

Exhibition Center, visit the Narusawa Ice Cave at the foot of

Mount Fuji, and explore the Mount Fuji Radar Dome Museum.

Step into modern art at teamLab Planets, explore the city’s bustling

Odaiba Waterfront, and learn more about technological development

at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation.

KOREA

HISTORY TRIP TO SEOUL,

GYEONGJU & BUSAN

A multi-base educational program enables students to explore

the rich diversity of Korean traditions, as well as making the

most of all the educational activities that each city has to offer.

On this 9-day history tour, students visit historical locations like

the DMZ and Buddhist temples, explore UNESCO World

Heritage Sites, and take part in immersive cultural workshops.



AT A GLANCE

DAY 1-4

Seoul: Meet your Adventure Leader, and

take a private tour of the city. Visit

Gyeongbokgung Palace and head to the top

of the N Seoul Tower. Spend a day at the

DMZ, and visit the Gloucester Hill Battle

Monument. Watch a traditional Nanta show,

take a K-pop dance class, and explore the

futuristic HiKR Ground.

DAY 5-6

Gyeongju: Explore the historic Cheonmachong

Tomb and visit the stunning Gyeongju Donggung

Palace. Explore the Bulguksa Temple, before heading

to Golgulsa for an overnight temple stay and morning

meditation session.

DAY 7-9

Busan: Enjoy a private half-day tour of the city, with visits

including Gamcheon Culture Village, BIFF Square and Jagalchi.

Take an evening boat cruise around the harbour and visit the cliffside

Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, before transferring back to Seoul for a

reflection session with your group.

STEM SCHOOL TRIP

Singapore is renowned the world over as a hub of technological

innovation and modern development. On this 7 day STEM school

trip, students will find out exactly why that is, exploring some of

the destination’s most groundbreaking sites. Along the way,

they’ll also immerse themselves into Singapore’s rich cultural

heritage, and partake in hands-on workshops.



AT A GLANCE

DAY 1–2

Singapore: Meet your Adventure Leader,

and then set off to explore the exhibits in

Changi Airport. Take a half-day city tour,

visit the Art Science Museum, and enjoy the

Marina Bay Sands Skypark observation deck.

DAY 3

Visit the Urban Redevelopment Authority

Center, explore the stunning Gardens by the

Bay, and watch a brilliant lights show.

DAY 4

Enjoy a hands-on robotics workshop, learn about

urban farming at Kok Fah Technical Farm, and explore

Kampong Glam.

DAY 5

Explore the Singapore Science Center, take a tour through

China Town, and visit the Singapore Discovery Center.

DAY 6-7

Discover the NEWater Visitor Center to learn more about water

sustainability, before learning about the science behind terrariums.

THAILAND

CULTURE & SERVICE-LEARNING

IN CHIANG MAI

Thailand’s stunning natural scenery and amazing cultural

heritage makes it the perfect location for an educational tour.

On this 6 day trip across Chiang Mai, students will explore

verdant jungles, gain valuable insight into local traditions and

customs, get involved in local service-learning, and take handson

workshops to immerse them into Thai culture fully.



AT A GLANCE

DAY 1–2

Chiang Mai: Meet your Adventure Leader,

and then enjoy some fun team-building to

develop your students’ interpersonal skills.

Learn about the area’s local traditions in

food, environment and culture through

immersive workshops - including learning how

to make mud bricks or (seasonally dependent)

learning the processes of harvesting rice.

DAY 3–4

Take a cycle tour through the winding trails of

the Chiang Mai mountains, learning more about the

area’s rice paddies along the way. Learn to kayak on

a mini expedition through the area’s waterways, and

take a day hike to the local hill tribe villages of Baan

Padeng and Hauy Kup Kap.

DAY 5-6

Set off for an exciting day of white-water rafting, rafting down

one of Thailand’s most exciting stretches of water. Pay a visit to an

ethical elephant sanctuary to learn about animal tourism practices and

the history of elephants in Thailand, and take a local cooking class.

CULTURE SCHOOL TRIP TO HANOI,

HOI AN, AND BEYOND

Vietnam’s captivating heritage makes it a fascinating place for a

cultural educational tour. On our 7 day multi-destination trip,

students explore the varied cultures across the country, from

historic Hanoi to bustling Ho Chi Minh. Along the way, they’ll

explore stunning UNESCO landscapes, take part in local

workshops to learn about traditional crafts, and visit key sites of

historical significance.

explore the Old Quarter. Head to Halong

Bay for a day tour, go kayaking, and watch a

Wellington College International had an exciting

homestay residential in Hangzhou, China.

The team supported us from start to finish, helping us deliver highquality,

onsite residentials which enhanced our wider curricular

provision, both in terms of personal growth for pupils and team

Malaga as their base.

The Grayson School from Philadelphia took a ten-day

trip to Rome and Florence. As students had been

studying Italian history, the school worked with The

Learning Adventure to make sure their itinerary was

challenging and informative.

We used The Learning Adventure for our first international trip to

Rome and Florence last year. We spoke to several other tour

groups who had a very specific itinerary they ran with no changes

or adjustments, and knew we wanted to give our students a

different experience. Rory and Alex were super responsive, made
