Abel Beyena – Ehtiopia

Abel Beyene (born 1995, Addis Abeba, Ethiopia) is an interdisciplinary visual

artist who explores the relationship between shifting identities and global

issues through his acrylic paintings, collages, oil paintings, digital art and

photography. Beyene studied art at Abyssinia Fine Arts & Vocational Training

Centre and at the Teferi Mekonen School between the years of 2015-2018.

Beyene investigates themes of history, diversity, knowledge and migration,

addressing the complexities of the human experience in an ever-changing

world. His work has been showcased in various art exhibitions, and he has

actively participated in workshops and volunteer services.

Drawing from his Ethiopian heritage and the rich cultural tapestry of Addis

Ababa, Beyene’s art serves as a medium for social commentary and a catalyst

for dialogue. Through his multidisciplinary approach, he challenges

conventional notions of identity and belonging, inviting viewers to reflect on

the interconnectedness of individuals and the global community.

Maduka Emmanuel Onyebuchi (b. 1997) is a visual artist living and

working in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. His passion as a

ballpoint pen artist comes from a lifelong obsession with creativity.

From a tender age, Maduka has always tried to manipulate objects

and materials in order to bring up something creative and artistic,

then he finally chose the ballpoint pen as his medium of art which

he claims to be another means of writing stories.

As a self-thought artist, he has been drawing since he was nine,

Maduka released his first hyperrealism masterpiece in 2020

titled “Behind The Veil” which illustrates a political issue of human

Ogen Osiegbu – Nigeria

Ogen Osiegbu is a self-taught artist from Delta State, Nigeria, but

lives in the city of Lagos. His art is inspired by the Orogodo River,

which is a source of livelihood to the people of Owa Kingdom,

(Ogen’s ancestry home), in Delta State.

In his own words Ogen says … “I call my art Orogodo Caricature as a

homage to the only river (Orogodo river) and source of livelihood to

my people in my village of Owa Kingdom, Delta State” ……. As for

the Caricature, I believe if born into an earlier time, I would be a

Benin bronze mask maker…. I infuse playful cartoons which I

watched as a child growing up, to come up with my iteration of

masks called the Orogodo Masks which is prevalent in my art”.

Benin tribe through his grandmother who is partly from Edo State,

the home of the Benin people.

Titus Agbara – Nigeria

Agbara was born in Lagos. He attended the Federal Polytechnic,

Auchi 1994 up until 1999 achieving his Higher National Diploma in

Painting and General Art.

After graduating, he serves his native Nigeria in 2000/2001. Since

then has been fulfilling his destiny as a full-time artist. He has to his

credit many group shows, Artist Talks, private commissions and solo

Tomiwa Arobieke – Nigeria

Tomiwa Arobieke is a visual artist known for the captivating and

evocative creations. Born in 1999, in Ogun State, Nigeria. He lives

and works in the city of Ibadan, Nigeria.

He studied Science Laboratory Technology in the Institution of The

Polytechnic, Ibadan. Tomiwa discovered his passion for art at an

early age, and embarked on a journey that would establish him as a

prominent figure in the Nigerian art scene. He honed his skills by a

professional artist named Daniel Emmanuel. The mentorship

combined with his innate talent, laid the groundwork for a prolific

career in the art world.

Tomiwa Arobieke

Tomiwa’s works have been exhibited in numerous galleries, in

Nigeria and around the world and has found its way into the private

collections and art enthusiasts worldwide.

Tomiwa’s art explores the themes of building human relationships

and expression of feelings and emotions, offering his viewers a

art is a captivating narrative of his personal journey and a reflection
