The team enjoyed an exceptional evening on Thursday 3rd

October 2024 at the European Cleaning & Hygiene Awards

gala dinner in Lisbon.

Jangro was a proud sponsor of the Rising Star of the Year

Award. Jo presented the award on the evening to Kelsey

Hargreaves from The British Institute of Cleaning Science

(BICSc), congratulations to Kelsey and all finalists for their

amazing achievements.

renowned sustainability expert Daisy Hunter

as our new Sustainability & Innovations

Manager. A distinguished leader in

sustainable practices within the cleaning

and hygiene industry, Daisy joins Jangro to

help propel our ambitious environmental

goals forward.

Her appointment marks a significant

milestone in Jangro’s sustainability journey,

underscoring our commitment to advancing

best practices that benefit our planet,

customers, and communities for a cleaner,

greener future.

We are confident that Daisy will not only

excel in her role but will also drive

remarkable value and growth for Jangro.

Welcome to the World

At the end of September, we wished, a temporary farewell, to our amazing lead developer at

Head Office, Jo Hamm, as she embarked on maternity leave. We are pleased to welcome her

baby girl into the world, Ripley!

Congratulations Jo and her partner, Jonathon, as they welcomed their beautiful new addition to

the family on Tuesday 15th October, Ripley Alice Stanger-Moore. Both mother and daughter are

doing well. We look forward to Jo’s return, but in the meantime, we celebrate this joyous occasion

with them.

The team have welcomed Wayne Blake who will be stepping in to cover her role, ensuring

continuity in the IT department.

Meet our new Sustainability & Innovation Manager

Hello,

With a background in the Cleaning Industry and ESG

(Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices, I’m

passionate about driving sustainable change and setting

benchmarks, particularly in waste reduction and eco-friendly

innovations.

I am excited to begin leading the sustainability strategy at

Jangro, where I will focus on reducing our impact on the planet,

improve our supply chain sustainability, and building strong

relationships with members, suppliers and customers. As Northern

Chair of the Cleaning & Support Services Association, I’m also

deeply committed to advancing our industry’s standards and

promoting environmental responsibility across the sector.

I’m always looking for ways to create meaningful, positive change

and I’m excited to connect with others who share the same

passion for sustainability.

2025 England Recycling Legislation

Introducing the new Jangro Recycling Bins,

designed to help your business stay compliant

with the upcoming recycling regulations.

From 31st March 2025, new legislation will come

into effect that will change the way businesses in

England, with more than 10 full-time employees,

are required to recycle their waste.

The new rules will mean businesses will need to

separate ‘recycling relevant waste’, including dry

recyclables and food waste, from general waste

on site prior to collection. Failure to comply with

the new laws could lead to hefty fines.

PMC Creator Update

We have released an update to the Jangro Portal, specifically the PMC (Mini Catalogue)

Creator. Each time you create a flyer or catalogue, a corresponding Mini Catalogue

Spreadsheet will be emailed direct to your inbox to accompany the creation. This will have

the Code, Description, Sell By, Sterling (£) and Euro live priced included.

When you click the Download PDF button now you will see the below:

Once you have downloaded your PDF, the email (what you have logged into the portal as)

will appear in your inbox a few minutes later with your custom Catalogue Spreadsheet in XLSX

format (example email below).

Cyber Security Toolkit for Boards

The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) has updated its Cyber Security Toolkit for Boards,

introducing a new briefing pack to help board members better understand and manage cyber

risks.

Key updates include a voiceover presentation, a ransomware case study featuring the British

Library, and practical guidance for fostering board-level engagement and enhancing cyber

resilience.

The toolkit provides modules on embedding cyber security into strategies, building a positive

security culture, and preparing for incidents.

By adopting this resource, boards can improve cyber governance, align security with business

goals, and strengthen their organisation’s response to threats.

We have a remarkable group of women who

greener future. The dynamic team is dedicated to

sustainability and their commitment is reflected in

the innovative strategies and practices they have

implemented to reduce the company’s carbon

footprint and promote eco-friendly products.

International Men’s Day

On Tuesday 19th November, it was International

Men’s Day and we honoured the strength, resilience

and dedication of the men at Jangro HQ.

Let’s celebrate the diversity of men’s experiences,

encourage open conversations about mental

health, and continue working towards a world where

all men feel empowered to be their authentic selves.

Many thanks to Cleaning and Support Services Associations (CSSA) for another remarkable

Ladies Day 2024.

Jo Gilliard, CEO of Jangro, Phil Cullumbine, Sales & Marketing Director and Tim Corbett,

Business Development Manager had a splendid time reconnecting with industry professionals

which included fellow Jangro members, suppliers and new business opportunities. The event

was a seamless blend of fun, networking, and community spirit. The team is already looking

forward to the next CSSA event.

Starting your day with a

were treated with breakfast

items to boost their energy

and wellbeing!

Throughout September to mark Mental Health Awareness Month,

Jangro Head Office team participated in a number of activities to

support the wellbeing of staff.

Yoga

Working alongside the Cleaning

and Support Services Association

(CSSA), we introduced having

weekly 30 minute yoga sessions.

It’s all about finding balance,

supporting each other, and

prioritising both mental and

physical health. These sessions

allowed the team to connect with

themselves, relax their mind and

breathe leaving them rejuvinated

for the rest of the day. Being such

a great benefit, the sessions will

remain each week throughout the

year.

Throughout September

supporting well being month,

Jangro proudly provided every

staff member contributing in

the walks with a cozy hoodie,

perfect for keeping warm

during the Winter season.

Walking for Wellbeing

Alongside the yoga sessions, we introduced ‘Walk for Wellbeing.’

Staff at Jangro HQ took an hour out of their working day every week for a relaxing walk around the

High Rid Reservoir and Regent Park in Bolton.

The team had a great time during these sessions, some fresh air and taking the opportunity to have a

chat, relax and clear their mind.

Janitorial Express have Relocated

Janitorial Express have relocated and now provide a Click and Collect

Service for over 3,000 janitorial products in Central London.

They have recently moved from their old 1960’s warehouse to a brand-new

modern location just a few minutes from Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium and a

stone’s throw from Holloway Road Underground Station.

With access to over 3,000 products, businesses can now place an order

online by 2pm and collect their items by 8am the very next day from their

new Holloway location.

The location is perfect for contractors with sites located in

and around the West End of City of London, which are just

a few miles away from their trade counter.

As always, Janitorial Express remain dedicated to offering

new solutions in the ever-changing landscape of cleaning

and facility management. When you need a reliable

partner in Central London, look no further.

Supporting Our Charity

Our chosen charity for the year is The Trussell Trust food

bank organisation. They provide emergency food to

people across the UK that are facing hardship, as well as

support to help people resolve the crisis they face.

We encourage our staff and all 46 distributors to engage

with their local communities and offer assistance

whenever possible. Please continue to support our

chosen charity by raising funds and collecting donations

through events, contributions and company dress-down

days.

Gift & Gain Day

On Monday 28th October, Jangro’s Design

Executive, Max utilised his Gift & Gain Day to

run a Half Marathon (approx 13.1 miles) to raise

funds for the company’s charity partner, The

Trussell Trust.

Massive congratulations to Max for braving the

tough weather and conquering the challenging

route from Horwich up to to Rivington Pike and

Winter Hill mast! Incredible effort!
