Names and Titles are Capitalized, descriptions are not. Three individual names of
God can be joined to form four (4) combinations of names, all properly representing
the power, majesty and glory of God. God refers to himself as Lord, seven (7) times.
Seven (7) represents God’s divinely determined completeness to his plan or
purpose. Lord suggests supreme rulership and authority. His name of God, is
repeated seventy (70) times. (7x10=70). Ten (10) represents God’s allness or
completeness. This name of God, is the ONLY subject, in all of Revelation, to have
seventy (70) references.
The combinations of God’s names result in fewer references, but they are all
derivatives his three (3) basic names, Lord – God – Almighty. By using these three
basis names, God is intensely emphasizing who he is. By arranging them into
additional combinations, adds another measure of importance and description as
to who He is. The name of Jesus Christ, also shares the same naming characteristics
as the Father’s names.

Lamb is capitalized and therefore another name or title of Jesus Christ. THE FACT
THAT THE LAMB IS REFERENCED TWENTY-FOUR (24) TIMES INDICATE THAT HE IS
THE FOUNDATION IN GOD’S ABUNDANT OR DOUBLED ORGANIZATIONAL
(GOVERNMENT) ARRANGEMENT. HE IS LITERALLY THE CORNER STONE IN THE
FOUNDATION OF GOD’S DIVINE ORGANIZATION OF THINGS. FOR THERE TO BE AN
ORGANIZATION OF ANYTHING, ON EARTH OR HEAVEN, THERE HAS TO BE A ROCK-
STEADY FOUNDATION SUPPORTING A PURPOSE OR PLAN. THERE HAS TO BE
FOUNDATIONAL ELEMENT OF STRENGTH AND TRUTH. If the foundation of the
organization of a house is poor, weak and not built correctly, the house will fall. The
foundation has to be built firm so it does not change or shift under the
organizational structure of the house.
The Lamb (Jesus Christ) represents the rock-steady, true and solid foundation of
God’s divine organization and the foundation of man’s redemption. God’s
organization is built on and around the Lamb. The title and name Lamb is unique
because it is also reflects a descriptive term. IT DESCRIBES JESUS CHRIST AS NOT
ONLY WHO HE IS, BUT WHAT HE IS! LAMB THEREFORE SERVES A THREEFOLD

PURPOSED; IT IS A TITLE OR A NAME, DESCRIBES WHO HE IS, AND DESCRIBES
WHAT HE IS.
Twenty-four is the greatest finite number in the mathematics of God. It is the largest
representation of anything in God’s abundant or doubled governmental
organization. THE NUMBER OF REPETITIVE REFERENCES IMPLIES EXTREME
SIGNIFICANCE, IMPORTANCE AND PURPOSE. THE HOLY SPIRIT USES THE TERM
LAMB OVER AND OVER AND OVER, TO PROCLAIM THAT JESUS CHRIST DIED, LIKE
A LAMB (BLOODY AND SLAUGHTERED), ON A CROSS AND THEN ROSE AGAIN, FOR
THE FORGIVENESS OF MANKIND’S SINS.
The Jews had a practice of slaughtering clean, genetically perfect animals to
temporarily atone for their sins. Their sins were cast onto these animals, who then
were destroyed by burning. JESUS CHRIST WAS THE PERFECT MAN, CLEAN AND
SINLESS. HE WAS THE PERFECT HUMAN LAMB. His death and burial were for the
eternal (not temporary) forgiveness of all of men’s sins. All of our sins were cast
upon the Lamb, while God was sacrificing his son on the cross through the shedding
of his blood, instead of the shedding of our blood.
We deserve to die for our sins, Jesus (the Lamb) did not deserve to die since he was
sinless. However, in God’s infinite grace and mercy, he allowed his son to take on
our sins and carry them from the cross to the grave, for eternity. Through our
acceptance of God’s offer of forgiveness through his son Jesus Christ (the Lamb),
our sins are forgiven; past, present and future.
Putting this into a little different perspective, but one that should hit home and
resonate with you on a personal level. As a parent, you absolutely love your child
(son or daughter), of course you do! There is no question about that, for any
normal, emotionally healthy parent. Hypothetically speaking, how would you feel
if an ISIS terrorist group kidnapped your son or daughter, severely tortured them
with whips, nailed them to a tree in public, spit on them, cursed them and mocked
them? Blood running down your son or daughter’s legs from the wounds in their
hands, head, back and torso. How would you feel, as a parent, knowing that they
are slowly dying a painful, horrible, slow death.

Hypothetically, speaking of course, how would you feel as a parent if the ISIS
terrorist group told you that your son or daughter (either of whom is totally
innocent) is being slaughtered for some perceived hatred or action of another guilty
party. How would you feel knowing that your son or daughter was the scapegoat
for an evil payback by the terrorist group as a lesson for those who don’t follow
their ideology?
By now, you should have an extremely painful visual image in your head. Now,
hypothetically speaking again, imagine how God felt seeing his son, Jesus Christ, in
the same excruciatingly painful, deadly predicament as your family member. If he
is a living, loving entity (which he is), how do you think he felt having to give up his
Holy Son to the Roman authorities, for slaughtering. His son was totally innocent,
but was used as a scapegoat or as a Lamb for our sins and transgressions.
Jesus Christ (the Lamb), didn’t deserve to be tortured and die. There was no logical,
rational reason for him to bear all of mankind’s sins for eternity. But, he did so,
willingly. As a parent, would you willingly let your son or daughter be literally
slaughtered as a result of someone else’s evil actions? God’s love for us transcended
the pain he felt from his son’s bloody crucifixion. THE WORK OF THE LAMB IS THE
FOUNDATIONAL CORNERSTONE OF GOD’S DIVINE ORGANIZATION FOR THE
REDEMPTION OF MAN. THE TWENTY-FOUR REPETITIONS OF ‘LAMB’ ATTEST TO
THIS DIVINE MATHEMATICAL FACT.

Commentary: Rev. 5:1-5, 7-9, reference the book of wrath that has the seven seals
which Christ is the only one worthy enough to open. Rev. 10:2, 8-10, references a
little book of prophecy that “tastes sweet, but when eaten, becomes bitter in the
belly”. Both books are prophetic in nature. THE BOOK WHICH CHRIST OPENS IS
OBVIOUSLY A SERIES OF PROPHECIES THAT INDICATE THE JUDGEMENTS CHRIST
ADMINISTERS TO START THE TRIBULATION. The second book of prophecies
handed by a mighty, glorious angel to John is a bit of an enigma. The book could
contain prophecies regarding other events in the Tribulation period that we don’t
know about, or events that we do know about as stated in the book of Revelation.
As the book of Revelation is generally considered the largest book in the Bible
concerning prophecy, the two heavenly books described above (CHRIST’S BOOK OR
ROLE OF SEALS, THE MIGHTY ANGEL’S LITTLE BOOK OF BITTERNESS) ARE TWO
PROPHECY BOOKS CONTAINED WITHIN THE PROPHECY OF REVELATION.
Prophecies within prophecy. Interestingly, Revelation is chock-full of references to
BOOKS BEING USED IN THE ADMINISTRATION OF GOD’S ORDER OF THINGS.
There is also a book of life referenced many places throughout Revelation.
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THINGS IN GOD’S ADMINISTRATION ARE “WRITTEN
DOWN IN BOOKS” (OR LEDGERS, IF YOU WANT TO USE AN ACCOUNTING TERM).
ULTIMATELY, EVERY CHRISTIAN’S NAME IS WRITTEN DOWN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE.

the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth
shall wonder, whose names were not written in THE BOOK OF LIFE from

Somehow, God has a way or a system, that accounts for the actions of men, their
behaviors, their works and whether or not they accepted Jesus Christ’s offer of
salvation through the forgiveness of their sins by the shedding of his blood and his
resurrection. These things are kept or accounted for in what appears to be a book
of ledgers (using an accounting term). Verse 21:27 is very explicit in stating that this
book belongs to the Lamb (Jesus Christ). He is able to account for his own people,
whose names are in his book. Conversely, if someone’s name is not in the book, he

doesn’t know them (or, they never accepted his offer of salvation). If a person’s
name is found in the book, then Jesus confirms to the Father “confess his name
before my Father” that this person belongs to him. Those not found recorded in the
book of life are lost and thus cast into the lake of fire. Just as a ship has a log or an
accounting of every passenger who has paid, and is allowed on the ship, anyone
found that is not on the log is cast away. In regards to Jesus Christ, he has already
paid for us to be in his book of life and we accepted his ticket.

14. SEVEN-FOLD REFERENCE TO LAKE OF FIRE
JUDGEMENT:
1. “He that hath an ear, let hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that
overcometh shall not be hurt of THE SECOND DEATH (LAKE OF FIRE).” (Rev. 2:11).
2. “The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without
mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he SHALL BE TORMENTED WITH FIRE AND
BRIMSTONE in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And
the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever; and they have no rest day

The lake of fire is also known as the ‘second death’. This is the final place of burning,
everlasting torment for Satan, the antichrist, the false prophet and those un-saved,
un-believing souls from throughout the ages found NOT to be in the book of life, at
the white throne judgement, at the end of the Millennium. The lake of fire and
second death are also reserved for those deceived during the Tribulation who took
the mark of the beast and worshipped him and his image.

The evil dead are resurrected to be judged by Christ for their evil works and for
their rejection of Him who offered himself for their salvation and forgiveness of
their sins. As a result of their sins and judgment, they are cast into the lake of fire
that represents a second death (the first death being physical body death and
souls/spirits being in Hell). The evil dead are resurrected into bodies and cast into
the lake of fire to be severely tormented, having no rest day or night, and are absent
from a loving God and their Savior who offered himself for them.
THE GREAT IRONY IS THAT THESE PEOPLE RECEIVED EXACTLY WHAT THEY
WANTED. THEY REFUSED CHRIST AND WANTED NOTHING TO DO WITH HIM, THEY
WANTED TO EXIST IN ETERNITY WITHOUT COMMUNION WITH GOD AND CHRIST,
ON THEIR OWN TERMS. THEY LITERALLY RECEIVED WHAT THEY ASKED FOR. THE
STENCH OF THEIR PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL TORMENT RISES UP IN SMOKE, FOR
ETERNITY.
God made both man and angels as eternal beings, hence they will exist forever in
one state or another. Which state will any of us choose to exist in? The choice is up
to us, and God grants us the freedom to make that choice for ourselves. For better
or worse, we have no one to blame (certainly not God) except ourselves for
whatever choices we make on earth.

15. ISAAC ISHMAEL BLOOD LINE OF CHRIST AND

Jesus Himself gave the prophecy as part of the Olivet Discourse while sitting with
His disciples overlooking the Temple Mount:
And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all
these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against
nation... (Matthew 24:6–7).
The prophecy we need to look at in this fascinating time in history is Jesus’
statement that “nation will rise against nation” in an unprecedented way just before
He returns to set up His Millennial Kingdom on earth. When giving only a cursory
glance at these words, we think that, yes, that’s certainly true. Many a nation has
risen against another nation just during the past several decades. There have been

many wars, and other wars are looming. But, is this the kind of “nation against
nation” reference Jesus specifically gave?
To answer this, we must look at the Greek language–the language from which the
New Testament was translated into English. JESUS WAS IN ACTUALITY SAYING
THESE UPRISINGS WOULD BE UNUSUAL IN THAT THEY WOULD BE BASED IN
ETHNOS–THE GREEK WORD FOR “NATION.” THEY WOULD BE ETHNIC IN ORIGIN.
THEY WOULD PIT ETHNIC, OR RACIAL, GROUP AGAINST ETHNIC GROUP.
IT IS EQUALLY TRUE THAT ETHNIC FACTORS HAVE BEEN THE CAUSE OF MANY
WARS THROUGHOUT THE CENTURIES. THE ARABS AND JEWS–AS A MATTER OF
FACT, MANY ETHNIC PEOPLES AGAINST THE JEWS—MARKED THE CONFLICTS OF

their differences. And, never in history has the conflict been more virulent. ISRAEL

During one of his many visits to Israel, Captain Gary Kosak visited a small house
factory of handicapped Arabs who were working at sewing machines and weaving
looms. Though they were disabled, they worked hard to make wall hangings,
tablecloths and other items. Some were born with their handicaps, but a beautiful
young woman there was handicapped in an act of vengeance between two Arab
families. Someone in her family had wronged someone from another Arab family,
who then took out his rage on this young woman.
Together with his accomplices, he kidnapped the young woman, held her down
and cut the nerves and tendons in her legs, making her a cripple. Kosack writes, “It
was an example of Arab vengeance that seems to fit the prophetic description of

In the Hebrew language, the adjective always follows the noun. According to the
standard grammatical rules, Ishmael should have been called “ADAM PERE,” A
“MAN THAT IS A WILD DONKEY.” WHY DOES THE BIBLE SAY ISHMAEL IS A “PERE
ADAM,” A “WILD DONKEY THAT IS A MAN”? It seems that “wild donkey” is the
primary word, the “noun” by which Ishmael is known, while “man” is merely an
adjective.
What is the meaning of “Pere Adam,” that Ishmael is a “WILD DONKEY” OF A MAN?
A quick survey of the classic biblical commentators fills in the picture. Ishmael will
be a man who loves to hunt beasts in the wilderness. “HIS HAND WILL BE AGAINST

Daniel 5 tells the story of the BABYLONIAN ruler Belshazzar, a RICH AND
DEBAUCHED KING, who gave a banquet to his court.
During the drunken party, THE SACRED VESSELS FROM THE JEWISH TEMPLE, stolen
by Nebuchadnezzar in 586 BC, WERE USED IN A BLASPHEMOUS MANNER. At the
height of the festivities, A MAN’S HAND WAS SEEN WRITING ON THE WALL THE
MYSTERIOUS WORDS “MENE MENE TEKEL UPHARSIN” (verse 25). The king was
terrified. But no one could understand what the words meant. All attempts at
interpretation by Belshazzar’s wise men failed until the prophet Daniel was called
in.
Daniel was one of the captives from Judah brought to Babylon by Nebuchadnezzar.
DANIEL WAS GIVEN WISDOM FROM GOD TO READ AND TRANSLATE THE WORDS,
WHICH MEANT “NUMBERED, NUMBERED, WEIGHED, DIVIDED.” Daniel told the
king, “Here is what these words mean: Mene: God has numbered the days of your
reign and brought it to an end. Tekel: You have been weighed on the scales and
found wanting. Peres: YOUR KINGDOM IS DIVIDED and given to the Medes and

Persians” (Daniel 5:26–28). Peres is the singular form of upharsin. The Bible never
identifies what language the words were in.
(7) THE HANDWRITING ON THE WALL PROVED TRUE. In fact, it proved fatal for the
dissolute Belshazzar. Just as Daniel had said, THE KINGDOM OF BABYLON WAS
DIVIDED between the Medes and Persians, and it happened that very night.
Belshazzar was slain, and his kingdom passed to Darius the Mede (Daniel 5:30–31).
The appearance of MENE MENE TEKEL UPHARSIN on the king’s wall is a reminder
that WHATEVER (7) WE SOW, THAT WE WILL ALSO REAP (Galatians 6:7–8). God is
the Judge;
He justly weighs all matters (7) and metes out retribution in His time (Psalm 94:2).
Sometimes God speaks very clearly into our lives, convicting us of sin and warning
us of pending judgment (see John 16:8).
It does not pay (7) to ignore the “handwriting on the wall.”

44. THE LAKE OF FIRE AND BRIMSTONE:
THE ‘SECOND DEATH’
In his Gospel, John tells us that those who believe in Christ are not condemned, but
THOSE WHO DO NOT BELIEVE ARE CONDEMNED ALREADY: "BECAUSE THEY HAVE
NOT BELIEVED IN THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD."

'The SECOND DEATH' which is mentioned in this verse, is RESERVED FOR EVERYONE
WHO HAS NOT TRUSTED IN CHRIST FOR THEIR SALVATION. We discover that 'THE
LAKE OF FIRE' which God originally prepared for Satan and the angels that rebelled
against Him, is called 'THE SECOND DEATH'.
ALL THOSE WHO REJECT GOD'S OFFER OF SALVATION, WILL HAVE TO FACE 'THE
SECOND DEATH' AND TAKE THEIR PART IN THE LAKE THAT BURNS WITH FIRE AND
BRIMSTONE. In the Bible, death equates to separation. Physical death is spiritual
separation from God, for man is born dead in their sin. Eternal death means eternal
separation from God, spirit, soul, and body. But praise God that man can be
redeemed by faith. Man can be born again of the Spirit, and not take part in 'The
Second Death'.
The Amplified Bible labels the unbelievers in this verse as: "Cowards and the ignoble;
the contemptible and those that cravenly lack courage. They are the unbelieving,
the faithless, the depraved, and those defiled with abominations. They include
murderers and the lewd, adulterers and those that practise magic arts and all
idolaters." THEY INCLUDE THOSE WHO GIVE SUPREME DEVOTION TO ANYONE OR
ANYTHING OTHER THAN GOD. IT ALSO TELLS US THAT LIARS AND THOSE WHO
KNOWINGLY CONVEY UNTRUTHS BY WORD OR DEED, WILL PARTICIPATE IN 'THE
SECOND DEATH'. IN SHORT, EVERYONE WHO HAS NOT BELIEVED GOD'S WORD
AND TRUSTED IN HIS MESSIAH FOR THEIR SALVATION, WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE
LAKE THAT BURNS WITH FIRE AND BRIMSTONE, WHICH REVELATION CALLS 'THE
SECOND DEATH'.
The fact of a 'Second Death' implies that there is a 'First Death', but these conditions
more correctly are linked with the 'Resurrection' of the dead. We read: "An hour is
coming, in which all who are in the tombs (both the saved and the unsaved) will
hear His voice. They will be resurrected from their tombs and come forth from the
grave." It goes on to say: "Those who did good deeds (by believing on the Word of
God) will come out of their graves to a Resurrection of LIFE, while;
THOSE WHO COMMITTED EVIL DEEDS (BY NOT BELIEVING ON THE ONLY
BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD) WILL COME OUT OF THEIR GRAVES TO A RESURRECTION
OF JUDGMENT OR DAMNATION." THIS IS WHAT THE BIBLE DISTURBINGLY CALLS
'THE SECOND DEATH'.

Being part of 'The First Resurrection' is the privilege of everyone who has been
saved by grace through faith in God's trustworthy Word. Every believer, from both
Old and New Testaments and up to the present day, who have died in faith by
believing God's Word, are reckoned as righteous and will participate in 'The First
Resurrection'. They will not be hurt by 'The Second Death'.
Believers will be resurrected at several different times e.g. The Church at the
Rapture, before the Tribulation Period; Old Testament and Tribulation saints at the
Second Coming, at the end of the Tribulation Period; Millennial saints at the end of
the Millennium. Although the timing of the resurrections will differ, all these
believers will take part in 'The First Resurrection'.
THE 'SECOND RESURRECTION' IS RESERVED FOR THOSE WHO HAVE WILFULLY
REJECTED GOD'S WORD AND REFUSED HIS OFFER OF SALVATION. THEY WILL BE
RESURRECTED FROM THE DEAD AND JUDGED AT THE GREAT WHITE THRONE
JUDGEMENT OF GOD, AT THE END OF THE MILLENNIUM PERIOD – AND THEY
WILL BE FOUND WANTING.

This is not a subject that should be swept under the Church carpet, as so often
happens in Christendom today, but is a serious subject that should be faced, and
UNBELIEVERS SHOULD BE CHALLENGED SO THAT THEY MAY HEAR THE GLORIOUS
GOSPEL OF GRACE AND BELIEVE THE MESSAGE OF REDEMPTION BY GRACE
THROUGH FAITH IN CHRIST, AND BE SAVED.
My Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for the many warnings we receive of the importance of
believing on the Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sin and life everlasting.
Thank You that by grace through faith in Christ, I will not be hurt by 'The Second
Death'. Thank You that You will judge the world in righteousness. In Your wrath and
judgement, I pray that You would be merciful, and during these days when salvation
is still available to anyone who trusts in Jesus, I ASK THAT MANY UNBELIEVERS
WOULD HEAR THE GOOD NEWS OF THE GOSPEL, BE SAVED AND ESCAPE FROM
THE WRATH TO COME. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
