Four Aces is a hidden gem

ready to shine

Holding all the cards

Four Aces is the international name of the property in Kessel. The Dutch name is ‘Sjöppe Aos’ but with the pronunciation

being a challenge even for those who do not speak the local Limburg dialect, it was renamed. Befittingly the name Four

Aces (in a game of poker) means holding all the good cards and having a strong advantage. With the location of the property

and its developers, it is safe to say the name fits the lot.

Stal Hendrix is diversifying its portfolio and venturing further into the world of property development.

With the realization of Michels farm in Kessel a great success, a taste for developing equestrian farms grew

and it has become part of the company’s strategic plan. The latest addition to the family’s portfolio is a

property literally down the street and it is a hidden gem, waiting to be revamped into a state-of-the-art

equestrian facility.

The equestrian heart of Limburg is blessed with many stables,

horse farms and show venues. Horse sports play a big role in

the economy and attracting equestrians from far and wide to the

Limburg area has been ongoing for decades. The Hendrix family

has longstanding partnerships with quite a few international

riders and their teams that have settled in the Netherlands.

For example, showjumping couple Henrik von Eckermann and

Janika Sprunger, who reside alongside the same street where

the Four Aces property lies.

Idyllic spot

“We knew this property was coming on the market and we took

our chances”, Michel begins to explain. “It is a 6-hectare plot, also

on the Keizersbaan, that currently has an existing horse facility

on it. It has been around for a while and used to be the home

of several riders including Sergio Moya. It really is a beautiful

spot, very private and surrounded by greenery, trees while also

offering a great view of the countryside.”

“The plot is literally down the

street from my stables & across

the road from our stud farm”
