We understand that school uniforms create a sense of pride and belonging

within schools, and we are proud to play an important part.

For generations, we have

supplied schoolchildren with

high-quality handmade ties

manufactured in the UK.

Since 1969, William Turner has specialised

in providing premium-quality school

ties and accessories. Stocking the widest

range of stock ties in the UK, our product

offering has evolved to meet the needs

of schools and schoolchildren. Today, we

stock an exceptional range of bags, hair

accessories, water bottles, and more.

The William Turner brand represents a

proven pedigree and we are proud to

continue to manufacture the bulk of our

tie production here in the UK in our own

factory in Lancashire.

Many of our other products are UK

made too including our selection of

special striped scarves, together with our

EcoPure biodegradable and Tritan water

bottles.

In addition to our eco ties, backpack

and water bottle, our summer headwear

range is now also made using a recycled

microfibre polyester.

Our offering to customers has also

evolved to meet your needs with a

reduced UK and offshore embroidery

MOQ (offshore on core stock style bags)

and investment in both an in-house

Direct to Film printing service in our UK

warehouse and drop-table embroidery

machines in our overseas bag factory to

offer shorter lead times in 2025.

PERSONALISATION:

Many schools and colleges choose to display their logo on our accessories and,

dependent upon their individual needs and budgets, we offer the following inhouse

decoration services:

Direct to Film Printing

DTF printing is the best way to replicate full-colour logos and is an ideal

alternative to embroidery, particularly if the logo is in a non-standard position

and hard to frame. A printed logo has an added benefit over embroidery in

that the stitches are not seen on the reverse of the logo.

Embroidery

Embroidered logos remain the most popular form of decoration. Using our

modern embroidery machines and extensive range of coloured threads, we

can replicate the most intricate designs. The cost of embroidery is based on the

number of stitches used in the design, which is directly related to the finished size.

Once created, the design can be used across a variety of products.

The logo is digitally printed on a transit film and then printed using a

standard heat press. The cost is based on the size of the logo regardless of

the number of colours.

Faux Embroidery DTF

Faux embroidery is digital printing that looks, when pressed onto a product,

like real embroidery. Ideal for achieving an embroidered look but at a more

economical price.

Plastic bottles are

collected.

Bottles are washed

and granulated into

flex (small pieces).

These are then

processed into

plastic chips.

The chips are then melted

and spun into new polyester

yarns for weaving.

Our Eco ties are produced using fabric originating from a certified and fully traceable yarn made from

recycled plastic bottles. A wide range of shades are available for manufacture from our UK tie factory.

Recycling plastic bottles into yarn is great for the environment. Compared to virgin polyester yarns, for every

1 kg of recycled yarn; energy consumption is 60% less, CO2 emissions 32% less and water consumption is

94% less. We are now using ECO yarn in both our stock and made to order ties.

from inside out and

finished with a final

INSPECTION

Each tie is quality

control checked,

barcoded if required,

and ready to go.
