ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE AND... THE WEDDING RING
At The Wedding Ring, we research, create, and curate quality, need-to-know
wedding content, year-round, alongside our clients, who just happen to be
some of Ontario’s most talented wedding experts.
We then deliver it all in print (THE WEDDING RING MAGAZINE) and online
(THEWEDDINGRING.CA) to a geographically targeted bride and groom
audience. As a result, our clients book more weddings and our readers find
it easier to plan the ultimate local wedding. On the odd chance you ever find
Anne, Kristen, Jess, and the team at The Wedding Ring more than a few feet
away from their WiFi connections, it’s likely because you’re at one of THE
WEDDING RING'S EXPOS which take place seasonally in 10+ cities across
Ontario. These are couture wedding shows filled with over the top exhibits,
live design palettes, and many (many, many!) engaged couples.
If you’re a wedding professional who offers products that every bride or
groom should have, raises the bar on service, or rewrites the definition of
couture, we’d love to work with you - online, in print, and/or in person. The
Wedding Ring will help you reach your target brides and grooms, share (and
show off) your expertise, grow your business, and make headlines.

TELL US WHY YOU PICKED YOUR VENUE:
"The chapel has a warm, inviting feeling that is so
romantic. There are beautiful natural lights and
flowers at the altar. The Townsend Ballroom has
an enchanting fireplace and lots of space for all
necessities. We had one long table to seat all of
our guests, with us being in the middle.
This venue is a stress-free location, where you
can order your meals and decorations right at the
venue. They set up and take down. It really made
us feel at ease knowing everything was taken care

Zoë & Jermaine
SASSAFRAZ RESTAURANT
TELL US ABOUT HOW YOU MET: "My
friends convinced me to go to one of Jermaine's
games, and that’s where we had our first
introduction—a quick hello. Honestly, I wasn’t
looking to date a basketball player; I was too
focused on keeping up my GPA! Years later,
though, we crossed paths at another one of his
games, and this time, the timing just felt right.
Jermaine asked for my number, and I thought,
why not? For our first date he took me to a
bookstore and that’s when I knew I’d found
someone special. We spent hours walking the
aisles, sharing our favorite books, and I loved
discovering that he was a bookworm like me.

WHAT MADE YOUR THEME UNIQUE:
"Our colour was orange. Not paprika, or burnt
orange, but a true, vibrant orange, like the
colour of our favourite sky at sunset. We refer
to each other as gingers and it just seemed like
an obvious choice being so vibrant. I requested
orange, yellow, and white wildflowers for my
floral theme, with gerbera daisies being the main
flower. We are also avid hikers and bird watchers,
so birds were a running theme throughout the
wedding, and we wanted our guests to feel rooted
in nature on our special day." - B

DESIGN INSPIRATION ♥ 31
Escape to the oasis at Kitchener Public Library!
Our whimsical, book-centric bridal shower in
the beautiful Sheriff John Motz Courtyard
offers guests the perfect escape in the heart of
downtown. This shoot captures the library’s values of connection,
sustainability, and lifelong learning. The courtyard is the perfect
fit for couples who love literature, nature, and meaningful spaces.
The inspiration for this shower comes from the library’s “85
Green” initiative, which transforms our courtyard into a lush
vegetable garden for learning and community engagement.
It uses book-themed décor and natural elements to evoke a
peaceful yet playful atmosphere for everyone to soak in.
This bridal shower also includes beautifully set patio tables in
a very on-trend caterpillar configuration. Floral arrangements
were inspired by garden greenery and our commitment to
sustainable spaces. We incorporate cozy, book-filled accents as
centerpieces to bring in a literary touch, giving guests a taste of
the library's charm.
For couples planning their events, our courtyard offers a versatile,
transit-friendly, and fully accessible space that feels private yet
connected to the vibrant downtown area. Our advice for couples
is to prioritize spaces that are not only beautiful but also reflect
personal and shared values. A unique venue like this can elevate
any event by adding depth and character—especially for couples
who find joy in literature, nature, and community-building.
This styled shoot is a unique celebration of both romance and
shared purpose. It shows that the library is a place where people
can come together, celebrate milestones, and enjoy the benefits
of nature in one place.

2025's HOTTEST COLOURS COMBINED
Lavender & Sage
Alavender and sage wedding theme embodies natural elegance
and serenity, inspired by the soft hues of fragrant lavender fields and
the muted beauty of sage leaves. This colour combination creates
a romantic and calming atmosphere, perfect for a wedding filled with warmth and
charm and will likely be one of the hottest colour combinations for 2025.
Our design team blended the lavender and sage colour palette with soothing, earthy
greens, creating a harmonious backdrop for the event. These hues were showcased
in all elements of the design: from floral arrangements featuring lavender sprigs,
eucalyptus, and sage greenery, with subtle accents of white blooms, to linens, napkins,
invitations, and cupcakes.

The quaint courtyard of the Americana Resort in Niagara Falls
was the ideal location to feature this intimate wedding design
theme. The caterpillar table is a standout feature, adding a
whimsical and unique element to the celebration. Adorned
with an assortment of individual bud vases with greenery and
lavender blooms, the table weaves through the reception space,
allowing guests to feel part of a unified celebration. Its shape
fosters a sense of community while adding visual intrigue to the
venue. Linens, napkins, and candles in complementary shades
elevate the aesthetic.
We selected a bridal gown for our bride model, Samantha,
incorporating lavender and sage to enhance the romance of this
wedding styled shoot. John Michael, our groom model, makes a
splash in a custom green suit.
This enchanting theme captures the essence of nature, creating a
wedding that is just as memorable as it is beautiful.

Apink, white, and grey spring wedding set in a barn exudes
romance, elegance, and a touch of modern sophistication. This colour
palette draws inspiration from the delicate blush of blooming flowers,
the purity of spring’s freshness, and the subtle sophistication of grey tones. The Barn at
Exeter Golf Club’s rustic charm perfectly balances the softness of the colours, creating
a warm and inviting atmosphere for a memorable celebration.
Our design team included soft blush pink flowers such as peonies, roses, and ranunculus,
paired with white blooms like hydrangeas and roses. Reception tables dressed in grey
linens with pink and white accents create a harmonious and charming look. Romantic
string lights and white candles add warmth and ambiance. The wooden beams and
weathered barn walls served as a natural contrast, enhancing the softness of the chosen
colours.
For the ceremony, a floral arch blending pink, white, and greenery became a stunning
focal point. The pink, white, and grey were cleverly included in the photo booth
backdrop.

We selected a tea length bridal gown for our bride
model, Brooke, and grey suit for the groom model,
Joel, to set the tone for this rustic romantic styled

spring wedding.
With its perfect balance of elegance and charm, our
chosen theme creates a timeless look that inspires
couples to embrace natural beauty. Whether in a rustic
barn or lush garden, this style proves that simplicity
and thoughtful design can transform any wedding

A blue and sunflower wedding is a vibrant celebration inspired
by the warmth of summer fields and the serenity of clear blue
skies. This colour palette effortlessly combines the cheerful
golden hues of sunflowers with the calming and timeless elegance of blue, creating a
unique blend of rustic charm and refined beauty. Sunflowers, with their bold yellow
petals and dark centers, symbolize loyalty and adoration, making them a meaningful
choice for weddings. They pair beautifully with shades of blue, from soft pastels like
cornflower and powder blue to deeper tones like navy or royal blue. This combination
reflects nature’s harmony, evoking feelings of joy, tranquility, and togetherness.

Spring symbolizes renewal, growth, and timeless
romance—perfect for a wedding. For our wedding
styled shoot at The Barn at Exeter Golf Club, we
embraced this classic green and white spring theme to blend rustic
charm with fresh elegance. The lush greenery symbolizes renewal,
while crisp whites evoke timeless romance. Together, they create a
natural, sophisticated look that perfectly complements the barn’s
warm, rustic atmosphere.
The style team took our vision and brought it to life! Décor and
florals were centred around lush greenery like eucalyptus, ferns,
and ivy, paired with white flowers such as roses, hydrangeas, and
lilies. Wood harvest tables were elegantly draped in flowing linens
and adorned with sophisticated dinnerware with medallic accents.
String lights and white candles added soft, ambient lighting,
enhancing the venue's cozy yet elegant feel.
We embraced the natural beauty of the ceremony space adding
creating a simple aisle lined with white petals or small bouquets of
green and white. Guests might sit on wooden benches or vintage
chairs, blending with the barn’s rustic appeal.
Our bride model, Alana, wore a gown selected to fit both the theme,
the venue, her figure, and her personality. Not to be outdone, our
groom model, Nick, was perfectly attired to fit the theme in a suit
that was tailored for style and comfort.
From the wedding cake adorned with fresh greenery and white
floral details to the LOVE letters on the dancefloor creating the
perfect backdrop for photos, every detail of this styled shot created
a perfectly cohesive ideal of a celebration of love and spring.

Shopping Tips
TIPS & TRENDS ♥ 49
DESIGN INSPIRATION 41
Wedding gown shopping is an emotional, joyous
journey filled with excitement and anticipation.
Surrounded by loved ones, brides explore stunning
designs, try on dream dresses, and envision their
special day. It's a moment of self-discovery, finding the
perfect gown that reflects their style, personality, and
love story, creating unforgettable memories.
PHOTO: Elli Bel Photography (www.ellibelphotography.com)
However, as a first time experience for most brides, there are
questions. We asked Jessy from Sew Stylish Wedding Works the
top questions brides commonly ask when shopping for their
wedding dress:
1. How far in advance should I shop for my dress?
Brides are typically advised to start dress shopping 9-12 months
before the wedding, especially if opting for a custom gown, which
can take months to make and fit. Ready-to-wear and off-the-rack
options require less lead time but still need time for alterations and
fittings. The recommended minimum is about six months before
the big day.
2. What should I bring to my dress appointment?
Bring any undergarments, shoes, or accessories you plan to wear,
as they can affect how the dress fits. It is also helpful to bring
inspiration photos, and if you're wearing a family heirloom
fit. Alterations usually aren’t included in the dress price, so budget
accordingly. You’ll likely need two to three fittings before the
wedding to ensure the dress fits perfectly.
4. What is a bustle, and will I need one?
A bustle allows you to lift or secure the dress’s train, making it
easier to move around at the reception. Most dresses don’t come
with a bustle pre-made, so ask about adding one during alterations.
Bridal consultants can show you different bustle styles to fit your
dress’s design.
5. How can I make sure the dress is comfortable?
Comfort is essential as you’ll be wearing the dress for hours.
Consider the weight of the gown, how easy it is to move, and
whether you can sit, dance, and walk comfortably in it. Some
boutiques can offer guidance on fabric and style options that
balance comfort with style.
or a specific veil, bring those along to see how everything looks
together. Avoid wearing heavy makeup to prevent staining the
dresses during try-ons.
3. Will I need alterations?
Almost every wedding dress needs alterations to achieve a perfect
These questions can guide brides through the essential aspects
of finding and fitting their dream dress while ensuring they are
comfortable and well-prepared for their wedding day.

Don't bat
an eyelash
Lauren from Lips n Lashes Beauty
Bar shares critical tips when thinking
about wedding day makeup.
Here are some things to consider while
choosing a makeup artist.
PHOTO: Courtesy of Lips N Lashes
Check out their portfolio. This is a great way to see their
style and the quality of their makeup work.
Make sure the artist you hire is reliable! Are they
going to show up on time, or even show up at all? A trial is one
way to test this. Ask around and check their reviews. Having a
written contract is also a must!
Do you get along with the artist/like their energy?
You will be around them for a few hours on your most special day.
Make sure they are not rude, unprofessional, unapproachable, etc.
Budget. We understand that everyone has a budget, but
splurging a little on a great makeup artist can make a huge
impact on your special day! You get what you pay for. Some
artists who have been in the industry for many years can not
only make you look and feel incredible, but they can help you
figure out the timing, cover that bruise or pesky pimple, know
how to deal with people when they are most stressed, etc. You
will be looking at these photos for the rest of your life. Make sure
you are feeling and looking like a million bucks!
Doing a trial before the wedding day is a great way
to get to know your artist. Did they show up on time,
was their kit clean, were they professional and approachable,
did their makeup skills match what they have in their portfolio?
Having the chance to try different makeup looks means that
on the wedding day, you are going to feel confidant and happy
knowing that the look that you are wearing is exactly what you
had imagined and that it is going to last all night. Take photos
after your trial as well to see how the makeup will show on
camera and in different lighting
Pick a great lip colour, but also consider teeth
whitening - Choose a colour that not only compliments your
skin tone, but also goes with your wedding colour scheme. For
a kiss-proof look, try using a liquid lipstick or even a lip stain.
A smile is something that you will be wearing the entire day, so
make sure your teeth are pearly white!
Things to aviod
Avoiding exfoliation, waxing, heat treatments, sun exposure,
new products, and overdoing it in the days leading up to your
wedding will help to ensure that your skin is in the best possible
condition for a flawless application. Red, puffy, or burned skin
is tough to cover!
Don’t overdo it. In my opinion, wedding makeup should
be similar to your everyday look but a little more polished or
enhanced. At the end of the day, you still want to look and feel
like you! This is not the time to try out new “trends."
Don’t make any major last minute changes. Try
not to overthink your bridal look or make any rash, last minute
decisions. Trying something totally different on the wedding
day when you have already done the trial may not end well. You
don’t know how that product will sit or last on your skin, or how
that smokey eye will show up in photos.
Don’t do it yourself unless you are a certified makeup artist,
you should be hiring a professional. You will be the focal point
and the center of attention in most of your wedding photos, so
you want to be looking and feeling your best! Now is your time
to sit back, relax, and truly enjoy the moment! Be present in the
now, and let yourself get pampered on one of the most special
days of your life!

Top tables:
Communal & winding designs
One of the most exciting trends for intimate weddings
is the rise of communal and winding “caterpillar”
tables, which create a warm, inclusive atmosphere.
Moving away from traditional separate round
tables, this setup brings all guests together in a single,
unified space, encouraging conversation and a sense
of togetherness.
Long banquet-style tables, often adorned with lush
florals, candles, and personalized place settings,
provide a striking visual centerpiece while fostering
connection among guests. This design works
beautifully for smaller, intimate weddings, where
the focus is on shared experiences and meaningful
interaction.
For a modern twist, winding “caterpillar” tables—
characterized by their unique, flowing shapes—are
gaining popularity. These tables create a sense of
movement within the space, transforming the layout
into something artistic and visually dynamic. The
fluid design adds a whimsical touch, making the
seating arrangement feel relaxed yet intentional.
To elevate this trend, couples are incorporating
personalized elements like handwritten place cards,
curated menus, and statement centrepieces that
run the length of the table. This style is perfect for
family-style dining, where food becomes a shared
experience.
Top tables like these blur the lines between décor and
function, delivering both elegance and intimacy—
perfectly embodying the essence of modern,
meaningful celebrations.

WEDDING TRANSPORTATION NIGHTMARES
Red Flags to
Watch Out For!
Let’s be real: Your wedding day is stressful
enough without worrying about the limo
showing up. Unfortunately, some couples have
had their big day completely derailed by awful
limo companies. Here are a few horror stories
that could have been avoided, plus some tips on
PHOTO: Elli Bel Photography
how to dodge the same mistakes.
The Missing Limo
One couple thought they were set with their limo reservation
months in advance. Fast forward to wedding day, and... nothing.
The limo didn’t show up, and the groom and his groomsmen
had to scramble to get to their first photo location. No word
from the company. The bride and her bridesmaids had to pile
into small cars, with her gorgeous wedding dress squished into
the back. When the chauffeur finally arrived an hour late, he was
dressed like he had just rolled out of bed. To top it off, the couple
still got charged in full, despite the chaos.
WHAT WENT WRONG:
• No communication or updates from the company
• Unprofessional chauffeurs
• Getting charged for subpar service
Stuck on the Side of the Road
Another couple had their limo canceled the day before the
wedding and was given a replacement vehicle full of flaws
including ripped seats. About 25 minutes in, the bus started
smoking and broke down, leaving them stranded on the side
of the road. The company didn’t answer calls at first, and when
they did, they didn’t seem to care. Even worse, they refused to
refund the couple for the missed boat cruise they were heading
to. The couple had to call cabs and figure out another way home.
WHAT WENT WRONG:
• Chose an unreputable company
• Terrible vehicle maintenance
• Poor customer service, with no urgency to help
• No accountability or compassion from the company
We get it. We have one shot at getting your wedding
transportation right. Punctuality, reliability, cleanliness,
professionalism, and transparency matter. You want to be
sure that you’re working with a company that meets all those
expectations. As you can tell by these stories, this is why people
are afraid of booking their wedding transportation. It doesn’t
have to be this way. The company you book your wedding
transportation with should solve all of these worries and
eliminate these stresses for you.
Here’s what you need to keep in mind
when choosing a limo company:
PUNCTUALITY IS NON-NEGOTIABLE: The last thing you
need on your wedding day is delays. Choose a company that
guarantees on-time arrivals.
RELIABILITY AND PROFESSIONALISM: You deserve
trained, experienced, and dependable chauffeurs who
communicate clearly and show up in company uniform, in
well-maintained vehicles.
CLEANLINESS AND COMFORT: A spotless, comfortable ride
that is well maintained enhances your experience and makes
you feel like royalty.
COST TRANSPARENCY: Budgeting for your wedding
shouldn’t come with surprise fees. Make sure your limo
company offers clear pricing upfront, reveals what you have
paid for, and has no hidden fees. When are you responsible for
overtime and how much is it?
REPUTATION AND PAST EXPERIENCES: Work with a
reputable company with positive reviews from real people and
a proven track record of reliability. You can’t afford to take risks
with your wedding transportation.
By keeping these factors in mind, you can feel confident that your
wedding day transportation will be one less thing to worry about.

TREND ALERT!
W ild floral &
bold organics
A fresh trend emerging in weddings is the shift from
polished, perfectly round bouquets to wild, free-form
floral arrangements that embrace a natural, untamed
aesthetic. These designs prioritize organic shapes,
texture, and bold visual interest, creating an effortless
yet striking appeal. Inspired by nature, wild florals lean
into asymmetry and movement, often incorporating a
mix of blooms, greenery, and unexpected elements for
a unique, garden-inspired look.
Couples are increasingly combining bold colour palettes
with rich textures, moving away from soft, muted tones
to embrace vibrant hues like deep reds, oranges, and
lush greens. The addition of unconventional elements—
like branches, berries, dried flowers, and wild grasses—
adds depth and dimension to these arrangements,
making them feel freshly plucked from the countryside.
A standout twist on this trend is incorporating fruits and
vegetables into décor and centrepieces. Think bowls
of figs, pomegranates, citrus, or artichokes intertwined
with florals for an organic, farm-to-table vibe. These
elements not only enhance visual appeal but also add an
earthy, unexpected charm.
Wild florals and bold organics reflect a desire to
reconnect with nature, creating weddings that feel
vibrant, lush, and effortlessly beautiful while celebrating
imperfection and individuality.

plant-based options, and seasonal dishes are all on the rise, with
caterers innovating to provide high-quality, delicious food that
aligns with environmental values. Vivid Hospitality loves to
create a special menu for you and your guests. It’s your wedding.
It should be the food that you would like. We’ve created full
vegan menus and seasonal dishes to satisfy your palette and
make your special day stand out from others!
Cultural Fusion Cuisine: Couples are increasingly
blending culinary traditions to create unique, multicultural
menus that reflect their backgrounds. This trend includes
everything from fusion appetizers like sushi burritos or Korean
BBQ tacos to dessert stations inspired by global flavors. It allows
couples to celebrate their heritage and personal taste in a fun,
inclusive way. Our chefs at Vivid Hospitality love to create
special menus. If you have something in mind and want to fuse
your two favourite cuisines, let us know! The development of
these unique menus will be a chance for us to have a bit of fun

bars, and creative salads are popular, catering to diverse dietary
needs while prioritizing guest health and wellness. No Dietary
restriction is off limits with our chefs at Vivid Hospitality. Let us
know what it is in advance and we’ll make sure all of your guests
are well fed.
Theatrical Presentations and Edible Art: Couples are
leaning into show-stopping, visually appealing presentations.
Caterers are using edible flowers, colorful garnishes, and
dramatic plating to make food visually enticing. Expect more
innovative presentations like molecular gastronomy, smoke
effects, and edible art displays, transforming the food into an
artistic element of the wedding that guests won’t forget. Nothing
makes a wedding more special than a beautiful display of food
that your guests will talk about every time they talk about your
wedding. Vivid Hospitality loves to make those VIVID Displays

THE GROOM’S GUIDE
Why a custom
Italian suit is the
ultimate wedding
choice
When it comes to the wedding day, all eyes might be on
the bride, but the groom deserves to look and feel equally
exceptional. For the discerning groom, a custom Italian
suit is the ultimate choice, offering a perfect balance
of craftsmanship, personalization, and sophistication.
Tailored to perfection and paired with carefully curated
accessories, an Italian suit not only enhances the groom’s
look but also delivers an unparalleled experience.
PHOTO: Courtesy of I Sarti Luxury Menswear
The Art of Italian Tailoring: Italy has long been celebrated
as a global leader in fine tailoring, and for good reason. A custom
Italian suit is not simply clothing; it’s a work of art. Italian
craftsmanship focuses on precision, comfort, and timeless design.
Unlike off-the-rack suits, a custom suit is meticulously crafted
to the groom’s exact measurements, ensuring a perfect fit that
enhances his frame. Whether slim, athletic, or broad, every
detail—from the width of the lapel to the break of the trousers—is
adjusted to flatter the individual’s physique.
Another hallmark of Italian tailoring is the use of luxurious
fabrics. Italian mills are known for producing some of the finest
materials in the world, including lightweight wools, breathable
linens, and smooth silk blends. These fabrics are not only
visually striking but also offer exceptional comfort, ensuring
the groom looks polished while feeling at ease throughout the
ceremony, reception, and celebrations beyond.
Personalized to Perfection: One of the greatest benefits
of a custom Italian suit is the level of personalization it offers.
Grooms can choose every element of their suit, from the cut
and fabric to the smallest finishing touches. Want a modern,
slim-cut navy suit? Or perhaps a timeless three-piece charcoal
ensemble? With a custom suit, the options are endless. Details
like hand-stitched lapels, functional buttonholes, and even
personalized monograms inside the jacket add a unique,
personal touch.
The customization doesn’t stop at the suit. Carefully selected
accessories can elevate the entire look. A silk Italian tie or
pocket square, a custom waistcoat, or even bespoke cufflinks can tie
together the groom's style, creating a cohesive, polished appearance.
Italian-made leather belts, dress shoes, and watch straps provide a
perfect finishing touch, blending luxury with practicality.
An Experience Like No Other: The process of creating
a custom Italian suit is about more than just the final product;
it’s an experience in itself. From the moment you step into
the tailor’s studio, you are treated to a level of service that
reflects the artistry of the suit. Skilled tailors guide you through
fabric choices, cuts, and fittings, ensuring every detail reflects
your personal style and vision for the day. It’s an intimate,
memorable experience—one that turns wedding preparation
into something truly special.
An Investment in Timeless Elegance: While a
custom Italian suit is undoubtedly a luxury, it is also a longterm
investment. Unlike rental or mass-produced suits, a
bespoke Italian suit is made to last. Its classic design and
superior construction ensure that it remains stylish for years to
come, making it perfect for future formal occasions.
For the groom, a custom Italian suit is more than wedding
attire—it’s a statement of confidence, sophistication, and
individuality. Paired with fine accessories and exceptional
service, it’s the perfect way to ensure you look and feel your
absolute best on the most important day of your life.

The
Unmatched
Magic of Live
Music at Your
Wedding
PHOTOS BY: Instillment
Picture this: You’re about to take that first step down the aisle.
The air is alive with the soft, enchanting melody of your favorite
song, performed live just for you. Every note, every pause, and
every strum feels deeply personal, as if the music itself is part of
your story. The gentle hum of live instruments creates a magical
atmosphere, drawing every guest into the emotion and beauty
of the moment. This is the power of a live wedding band—it
transforms ordinary moments into extraordinary memories.
A live band doesn’t just play music; they create a living, breathing
soundtrack for your day. From the tender moments of your
ceremony to the lively energy of the reception, live musicians
can adapt their performance to perfectly fit the tone and spirit
of each part of your wedding. Imagine exchanging your vows
as an acoustic guitarist quietly strums beneath your words or a
delicate piano tune fills the air with reverence. Live music allows
for those nuanced moments that pre-recorded tracks just can’t
replicate.
Fast forward to the evening: You’ve entered the reception as
a married couple, and it’s time for your first dance. The band
strikes the opening chords of your chosen song, and every beat
is played with precision and emotion, adding a level of intimacy
that feels as though the music was crafted just for you. As the
final notes linger in the air and your dance concludes, the band
seamlessly shifts into an upbeat, high-energy tune that invites
everyone to join the celebration. Guests leap to their feet, drawn
to the music, and the dance floor comes alive with joy, laughter,
and movement.
This seamless energy and adaptability are the hallmarks of a
talented live band. Unlike a static playlist, live musicians interact
with the crowd, responding to the vibe of the room and adjusting
the setlist to keep energy levels soaring. Whether your guests are
in the mood for classic hits, modern pop, or soulful ballads, a
skilled band like The Blackstones knows exactly how to deliver.
They don’t just play music—they create an atmosphere where
everyone feels connected, engaged, and ready to celebrate.
Beyond the dance floor, live music enhances every part of
your wedding experience. During cocktail hour, imagine
a saxophonist weaving jazzy melodies or an acoustic trio
performing relaxed, upbeat tunes, setting the perfect mood for
mingling. At dinner, soft instrumentals fill the air, providing
ambiance without overpowering conversation. A live band
doesn’t just provide music; they curate an experience that flows
effortlessly from start to finish.
Many couples underestimate the impact live music can have
on their wedding day. The energy, emotion, and authenticity of
a live band elevate every moment, leaving lasting impressions
not just on the couple but on their guests as well. Music creates
memories, and live music makes those memories unforgettable.
The Blackstones bring all of this and more—energy, excitement,
and an experience tailored to your dreams. From your walk
down the aisle to your final song of the night, they ensure every
note resonates with love, joy, and celebration. Let live music
be the heartbeat of your wedding day. Your dream wedding
deserves nothing less.

TREND ALERT!
Tech-enhanced
weddings
Tech-enhanced wedding trends for 2025 are
transforming how engaged couples plan and celebrate
their big day. Artificial intelligence (AI) will personalize
experiences, from generating custom vows and
speeches to curating playlists tailored to guest
preferences. Virtual reality (VR) will enable remote
guests to attend weddings in immersive 360-degree
environments, while drones will deliver cinematic
aerial photography and videography. Augmented
reality (AR) will bring interactive invitations,
dynamic seating charts, and visually stunning venue
enhancements.
Sustainability will also play a central role, with ecofriendly
3D-printed décor and energy-efficient
technologies reducing the environmental impact.
Personalized wedding apps will offer seamless event
management, featuring schedules, maps, and photosharing
platforms. Wearable tech like RFID wristbands
and QR codes will streamline guest experiences, from
check-ins to meal preferences.
These innovations will merge tradition with
technology, creating memorable, immersive, and
sustainable celebrations that redefine the wedding
experience for couples and guests alike.

travel
The destination wedding planning professionals at Weddings in the
Sun have helped countless Ontario engaged couples plan their dream
all-inclusive weddings. The most common question they’re asked
relates to budget. Determining your budget is crucial for a seamless
experience, and here’s how they recommend approaching it:
Establish Your Overall Budget
Start by determining the total amount you’re comfortable
spending. This should include all aspects of your wedding
and travel. Be realistic and factor in contributions from
family or savings.
Understand All-Inclusive Packages
Many resorts offer comprehensive wedding packages
that include the ceremony, reception, food, drinks, and
accommodations. These can be cost-effective and customizable.
Work with your travel agent to compare packages that match
your style and guest count.
Account for Travel Costs
Include airfare, transfers, and travel insurance for both you
and your partner. If you want to assist guests financially, such
as covering a portion of their stay, include this in your budget.
Group discounts might be available, so ask your travel agent to
Understand Legal and Administrative Fees
Destination weddings may require marriage licenses or
translation services, which vary by country. A travel agent can
help you navigate these details to avoid surprises.
Monitor Currency Exchange Rates
Since many payments will be in foreign currency, account for
fluctuating exchange rates and transaction fees. Booking early or
paying in installments can help manage this.
Set a Contingency Fund
Allocate 10-15% of your budget for unexpected costs, such as lastminute
guest changes or unforeseen travel expenses.
Use Your Travel Agent’s Expertise
Leverage our network and experience to secure group deals,
complimentary perks, and package upgrades. We’ll ensure
everything aligns with your vision while staying within budget.
