HUBS

With Green Skills and Renewable Hubs

based in Stockport and Trafford, the

Trafford & Stockport College Group (TSCG)

is well placed to play a key role in the city

region's ambition to reach Net Zero carbon

as early as 2038 and UK-wide by 2050.

Funded by Greater Manchester's

Strategic Development Fund and the

Local Skills Improvement Fund we

have also teamed up with emerging

technology partners including Quantum,

Daikin, Groundtherm, and LJ Create. This

partnership has enabled us to create a

heat source hub at our Stretford campus in

Trafford and an EV hub at our town centre

campus on Wellington Road in Stockport.

Both hubs offer 'bolt-on' courses to

existing full time and apprentice students.

We offer short upskilling courses for those

already in employment who need to

understand these emerging technologies

as well as awareness courses for adults who

would like a greater understanding about

renewable technologies.

Our hubs have been designed to

enable practical learning through

interactive and immersive training linked

to air source heat pump, solar thermal,

solar photovoltaic, and other electrical

technologies, such as electrical vehicle

charging and battery storage.

By offering both green accredited and

non-accredited courses to support the green

skills gap and agenda as well as ACS Gas and

AM2 electrical qualifications, our hubs aim to

develop knowledge in these vital areas whilst

addressing the need to establish a pathway

to green careers in industry.

Whether you are a business looking to

future-proof your workforce or you’re looking

to support your future career, our

Green Skills Hubs are here to support

your ambition.
