said the police department

had an increase in ca ls for

service in 20 2, rising from

2,216 to 2,599 in Hawarden.

Of those ca ls, 61 turned

into cases.

“A case is when there’s

going to be some kind of

charge or investigation

that wa rants us to go further

than something we

can just handle in-house.”

He counted six a saults,

three larcenies and one

motor vehicle theft. The

motor vehicle theft, however,

was actua ly a vehicle

County Auditors O fice by the West Sioux

School District administration on Friday with

a petition to get a $14.9 mi lion bond i sue on

the March 7 ba lot. The required amount of

signatures was 157.
