BY RELUCTANT GENIUS
As of my last knowledge update in October 2023, Ozzy Osbourne had a
storied history with the iconic heavy metal band Black Sabbath, which began
in 1968. The band's groundbreaking sound laid the foundation for heavy
metal, and Osbourne's distinctive voice and theatrical persona became
synonymous with their identity. However, as time progressed, the tumultuous
relationship between Osbourne and the band saw ups and downs, including
his departure from the group in 1979 and subsequent reunions that
captivated fans worldwide.
On July 5, 2025, the music world
was electrified by the surprising
announcement of Ozzy Osbourne
rejoining Black Sabbath for a
special reunion tour. Wow rumor
has it. Ozzy won’t be able to play a
full set with the band due to his ongoing battle with Parkinson’s
he will be sitting for some of their biggest hits . This moment
marked a significant chapter in Osbourne's life and career, as it
symbolized not only the enduring legacy of the band but also
Ozzy's resilience and passion for music. The announcement came after years of speculation regarding a
potential reunion, fueled by nostalgia and the band's influence on generations of musicians.
The reunion tour was met with enthusiastic anticipation, as fans were eager to witness the original lineup's
chemistry and powerful performances once again. The band embarked on a tour that celebrated their
classic albums, with Osbourne's voice, still raw and powerful,
resonating through arenas filled with devoted followers. The
tour not only served as a nostalgic trip for long-time fans but
also introduced a new generation to the legendary music of
Black Sabbath.
Ozzy's return to the band on that fateful day in July 2025
illustrated the timelessness of rock 'n' roll and the
unbreakable bond between an artist and their craft. It was a
poignant reminder that, despite the challenges and changes in
the music industry, the spirit of Black Sabbath, with Ozzy at the helm, would continue to inspire and
captivate audiences around the world.Throughout his career, Dylan has received numerous accolades,
including the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2016 for his contributions to songwriting. His work reflects the
complexities of modern life, tackling themes of love, politics, and identity. Today, Dylan remains an enduring
influence in music and literature, continuously evolving while maintaining his enigmatic persona.

GEBBO!! GEBBO!!! Oh, sorry. I didn't realize you guys were there. I was just calling my cat. Gebbo is my nickname for her.
Her real name is Marnie. “The Naming of Cats is a difficult matter. It isn't just one of your holiday games; You may think at
first I'm as mad as a hatter, when I tell you, a cat must have THREE DIFFERENT NAMES. First of all, there's the name that
the family use daily.” That's Marnie. “But I tell you, a cat needs a name that's particular, a name that's peculiar, and more
dignified. Else how can she keep up her tail perpendicular, or spread out her whiskers, or cherish her pride?” That's Gebbo.
“But above and beyond there's still one name left over, and that is the name that you never will guess; the name that no human
research can discover—but THE CAT HERSELF KNOWS, and will never confess.” My Gebbo won't tell me that name when
I see 'er; even as I sit before dawn and I talk to her here. I guess for to know I would just have to be her. These times, just the
two of us, are so cherished and dear.* I get up much earlier than my wife Cindy does. Hammy, our dog, stays in the bedroom
with her. Marnie & I get up. As I make coffee, she waits on one particular of the kitchen table stools. It must be that one in that
one special spot: particular, peculiar, dignified; like Gebbo herself. I call it “The Big Chai-uhr”, in that loving, childish,
particular, peculiar, and undignified way we animal lovers talk to our pets. “Marnie gonna wait on The Big Chai-uhr”, I say
quietly to her, as she sits impatiently waiting for her morning treats: 8 – 10 hard kitty snacks. Almost always the stool. Once in
a while, if the spirit moves her, she jumps up on the dryer to wait for her morning treats. Then it's off to my seat on the recliner
sofa, and get my laptop to do my work, She'll have no part of it. She lies on her back looking up at me for 45 minutes as I pet
& scratch & adore her, and say, “I gotta do my work.” to no avail. It's where we are now. No matter how bad the day gets; or
how bad I already know it's going to be, this one-twenty-fourth of it...is just pure Heaven! She is up there the other 23 hours a
day waiting for me. Oh, I forgot mention that My Gebbo is dead. She left me on December 18, 2024. Not so Merry Christmas.
I have PTSD. It's so hard to talk about my PTSD. It is for everyone that has it. I find comfort spending time talking to her on
the sofa every morning. And singing to her in the shower: “Oh where, oh where, can my Marnie be? The Lord took her away
from me. She's gone to Heaven so I got to be good. So I can see My Gebbo when I leave this world!” Then she will tell me the
name she “will never confess.” I am not suicidal...but God...I'm a mess. I really...REALLY...miss...My Dead Friend Marnie.
Similarly, in Kyle Hauptmann-Stokes' “My Dead Friend Zoe”, Merit (Sonequa Martin-Green) misses her friend Zoe (Natalie
Morales). This film, easily the best movie so far released & eligible for the 2025 Oscars, about two women, was directed (his
first feature), co-written & co-story-credited by...a man. It is, as Vader would say” “Impressive! Most impressive!”. It was
inspired by his time in the Army, in Iraq, as a paratrooper, and based on his 2022 short “Merit x Zoe”. In “My Dead Friend
Zoe”, Merit, has PTSD. From the very start of the picture, Merit & Zoe spend almost all of their time together. Merit can't seem
to talk to anyone about her PTSD, even when court ordered to go to group therapy led by Dr. Cole (Morgan Freeman). Her
mom, Kris (Gloria Reuben), is of little help dealing with Merit's problems, let alone her own aging father Dale's (Ed Harris).
Instead of helping her 30-ish daughter with her mental health issues, she makes her take care of Dale. Incredible performances
are turned in by all five of the main cast. And this very delicate, very sad subject...is handled with particular, peculiar and
dignified grace with comedy by Kyle, who I expect will be among the up & coming great directors. As of this writing on 2/23,
the film has yet to be released. It comes out on 2/28 and IS NOT to be missed! I am not here to compare my PTSD to Merit's
or anyone that was in the military. But, as we learn in the picture, the military doesn't have a monopoly on PTSD, but they sure
do have their fair share. 4 Stars!
* I want to thank T.S. Eliot for telling us about “The Naming of Cats”, the first poem in his 1939 book of poems “Old Possum's
Book of Practical Cats”, the basis for almost all of Andrew Lloyd Weber's astonishing musical “Cats”. Two other poems, one
much more prominently, were used to tell the Cats' story: Memory was adapted from Eliot's "Rhapsody on a Windy Night"
and, to a much lesser extent, "Preludes". Without “The Naming of Cats” we still would not know that cats “have THREE
DIFFERENT NAMES”.

Growing up in a close-knit family of seven, I’ve always valued individuality and staying

been a transformative journey. I’ve learned resilience, understanding that when one door
closes, another opens. The opportunities I’ve encountered and the incredible people I’ve
met have made this experience deeply rewarding. Premier’s supportive team has
inspired me to believe that hard work can turn dreams into reality. Through it all, I’ve held
onto my love for creating beauty in unexpected places, whether it’s through a photograph
or a simple meal. These passions remind me of where I come from and keep me
grounded as I chase my goals. I’m grateful for the growth I’ve experienced and excited
for what lies ahead!
