First apply a
1 coat of primer
to the surface
of the empty tin
cans and leave
them to dry.
Once dry, add an
additional coat to
each tin.
2Next, paint
the primed
tin cans in a
pale pink for the
bunny, yellow
for the chick and
white for the
lamb. Leave to
touch dry before
applying a second
coat of paint.
Using the
3 photo as a
guide, cut out the
bunny’s ears and
feet in pale pink
card and bright
pink felt details
respectively. Then
glue the pieces to
the pink painted
tin can, along with
some white pipe
cleaner whiskers, a
pair of eyes and a
pom pom tail.

To create the
lamb, cut out
a template for the
head and use to
cut it out in black
felt. Cut out a strip
of white scalloped
felt hair. Glue
these to the white
painted tin can
and add a pair
of eyes.
Now it’s time
5 to create the
chick. First cut
out a yellow felt
triangular beak
and glue it to
the yellow tin
can. Stick some
eyes above the
beak, and finally
add some yellow
feathers for wings.
Your cute tin can animals are now ready to add a touch
6 of spring to your home!
