THE FOUNDATION
Minimal Change After
Over 12 Years
Numerous reference projects confirm and solidify the
strength of the Rema wood facade.
A prime example is the timber construction housing
project in Bad Aibling (DE). There, in 2011, several
buildings were constructed and clad with various Rema
wood facades.
After more than 12 years, the facades only show signs
of time at the most exposed spots. A comprehensive
warranty statement is available upon request.

Rema 4-QS
This sets us apart from the competition - our four stages:
1. Selected & pre-sorted raw materials
‍2. Sorting before the planing machine
‍3. Sorting after the planing machine
‍4. Repair of wood defects
We use exclusively high-quality wood and place
the utmost importance on consistently high quality.
Rema sorts according to the guidelines of the VEH
(Association of European Planing Mills) and is
regularly checked by Holzforschung Austria.

THE FOUNDATION OF THE FACADE
The Construction
Coatings can optimize the properties of wood, but they
cannot compensate for structural errors.
Basic rules such as water drainage from and out of the
construction, formation of joints at board joints, and
undercutting play a crucial role in ensuring the facade
functions for many years.
At this point, we refer to the brochure „Facade:

Facades,“ which we are happy to send you upon
request.

The Exposure
Depending on the building‘s orientation to the
cardinal directions, optical differences can occur. It
is in the nature of things that the building on the SW
side is more affected by the sun and rain than on
the North side. (see illustration)
