Comprehensive Certification
for Maximum Safety
What sets ProCon Pyro apart from other products is its
thorough system testing. Our certifi cation covers not only the
fi re protection properties of the panel surface according to
EN 13501-1 but the entire system including the solid wood
panel itself – meaning the substrate with fi re protection
coating including the system connection, corner joints,
assembly, fastening, and substructure. This ensures that every
aspect of the product meets the highest standard of fi re
protection class B-s1, d0 „fl ame retardant“.
Certifi cation by independent institutes such as Holzforschung
Austria and the Institute for Fire Protection Technology and
Safety Research in Linz ensures that every component and
aspect of the system meets the highest safety standards.
Key points of the certifi cation include the
assessment of the fi re protection properties
of the panel surface, tongue-and-groove
connections, corner joints, as well as
assembly and fastening methods.

Substructure
Rema ProCon
A straight and stable substructure, securely attached to
the building structure, is crucial for Rema ProCon Pyro.
Use standard battening and adhere to fire protection
requirements such as air gaps, insulation, and installations.
Wood battening and air gaps are generally permissible.
Wall
Corners, Floor, Ceiling
Wall
Corner executions can be butted squarely. To preserve
the certification, no additional fastening or connection
is necessary. Ensure joints are seamless. Connections to
walls, ceilings, and floors must be designed according
to fire protection specifications. For large areas, create
expansion joints to accommodate and balance the panels‘
small, seasonally typical movements, again adhering to fire
protection requirements.
Drilling & Cutting
Any subsequent drilling or cutting into Rema ProCon Pyro
requires edge re-coating with the Rema ProCon Pyro Repair
Kit to maintain certified fire protection.
Installation Direction
Rema ProCon Pyro is suitable for both vertical and
horizontal installation. Ensure not to use the marked back
side as the visible side. The concealed fastening should
be done according to the sketch in the tongue and groove
connection using floorboard screws. Additionally, use pointspecific
permanent elastic mounting adhesive between the
substructure and panels.

Processing Instructions
& Additional Information
Processing
Cleanliness at the workplace and thorough preparation are
essential. A stable, precise substructure is necessary for the clean
installation of Rema ProCon Pyro panels.
Ensure a solid connection to the building and adhere to fi re
protection regulations. Installation can be vertical or horizontal.
The marked backside must not be installed facing forward to
ensure fi re protection effectiveness. When joining the tongue and
groove connection, gently use edge protection or a mallet and
avoid direct hits on the edge. Fasten the panels with fl oorboard
screws through the panel groove. For tailored cuts, ensure clean
cutting results to prevent splintering or tearing of the wood
fi ber. Use permanent elastic mounting adhesive between the
substructure and panels as needed.
A subsequent coating of the cut edges with the Rema Repair Kit is
advisable to maintain the fi re protection effectiveness.
The panels are delivered ready to use and require no posttreatment.
Handle the panels carefully to avoid scratches by lifting
rather than dragging or pushing.
Storage
Always store goods protected, dry, and fl at in enclosed spaces.
Avoid drafts and strong temperature fl uctuations. Do not place
foreign objects between the surfaces lying on top of each other
to avoid the risk of scratches.
