For this second week, we will focus on the offensive fundamentals. We will focus
on the 360 Perception Universal Concept, the Defensive 1v2 1st defender Role
Concept crucial to defend the first inferiority in the game, and the Principle of the
Game of Win duels. We end the week Protecting the back in the final third

DAY 1
Session Objectives:
Improve the Defensive
1v2 Role Concept for the
1st defender.
Improve the 360

monitoring the entire environment to
improve defensive performance.

Day 1
First Drill
360
PERCEPTION
SIZE: 30X20
Objective
IMPROVE 360 PERCEPTION
UNIVERSAL C.
Description: A complex rondo involving a 3v3 + 4
neutrals situation in a rectangular area. The
attackers' objective is to move the ball from one
side to the other, while the defenders must
prevent this, win the ball back, and switch roles.
Neutrals can play off each other, so the defenders'
marking isn't individual; they work as a unit to
prevent the ball from progressing.
Objectives:
Attackers: Move the ball from one side to the
other to score points.
Defenders: Work collectively to block passing
lanes, prevent progression, and recover the ball.
Rules:
When the ball passes from one side to the
other, the attacking team scores 1 point.
We don't want to use man-to-man marking;
we want to prioritize team defense using the
360-degree concept to avoid being
overwhelmed.
Do several sets of time to switch roles.

Day 1
D E L I V E R Y G U I D E
Step 1.
Put your players in the space and talk about the dynamics of the drill.
Introduce the 360 concept as an individual but also collective concept,
ensuring the players understand the type of defense that we need to
apply.
Step 2.
After a few minutes of drill, observe:
Are defenders pressing as a unit to block progression?
Are defenders close enough between themselves?
Are defenders applying role concepts to avoid progression as close
defenders or far defenders?
First Drill

360
PERCEPTION
Objective
IMPROVE 360 PERCEPTION
UNIVERSAL C.
Description: 4v3 +1 neutral positional play.
Attackers must progress to reach the neutral
position with a pass to score a goal. Defenders
must work with a disadvantage, preventing the
ball from reaching the neutral position, recover
the ball, and score a small goal.
Objectives:
Attackers: Reach the finishing zone and score
goals.
Defenders: Recover the ball and counterattack,
applying 360 concept to avoid being overcome.
Rules:
Every goal scores 1 point.
A defender's goal in small goals after
recovering the ball scores 2 points.
Perform several series to switch roles.
The neutral player cannot move from depth;
they can move in width but cannot change
their depth.
The neutral can’t score goals, only plays with
pass.

Day 1
D E L I V E R Y G U I D E
Step 1.
Put your players in the space and talk about the dynamics of the drill.
Attackers should focus on quick ball circulation and exploiting space.
Defenders must maintain compact shape and work together to close
passing lanes.
Step 2.
After a few minutes of drill, observe:
Are attackers recognizing the right moment to play the final pass to
the neutral?
Are defenders pressing effectively as a unit despite being
outnumbered?
Is the neutral player adjusting their position to be an effective passing
lane?
Step 3.
The concept of 360 perception involves controlling everything that's
happening around the defender, both in front of and behind him. The
defender must be able to move within his own space, prioritizing
avoiding being overwhelmed and being able to pressure the ball
possessor.

Objective
IMPROVE FIRST ATTACKER ROLE C.
Description: Small-Sided Game (SSG) introduces
the defensive concept of numerical inferiority when
pressing (1v2). The attacking team is limited in
depth and must attack beyond the initial 2v1 and
progress through the game. All attacks are initiated
by the attacking team.
Objectives:
Attackers: Maintain possession, break through the
initial 2v1 pressure, and progress to score.
Defenders: Defend the first 1v2 to recover or to
avoid progression.
Rules:
Every goal scores 1 point.
If the goal is scored after the ball is recovered in
a 1v2, the goal counts double.
Do two sets to switch roles.
All balls are initiated from the attacking team's
goal.
Depending on the type of pressure in a 1v2

Step 1.
The types of pressure from the first defender are: frontal or splitting.
Pressing frontally prevents the attacker from advancing; splitting
allows him to advance but closes his passing lane to the other attacker.
Step 2.
If the first defender presses forward, the second defender must press
forward when a pass is made. If the first defender splits them, the
second defender must protect the ball-carrying player's progression.

with possession must make 10 passes to score a
point. Defenders must recover the ball and pass it
to their distant teammate to keep it on the
opposite side. In the neutral team's space, the ball
cannot be pressured; passing lanes can only be
blocked.
Objectives:
3v1 Rondo: Keep the ball and complete 10 passes
to score a point.
6v5 Rondo: Press the ball to recover it and
maintain it in their own square.
Rules:
Complete 10 consecutive passes score a point.

Day 2
D E L I V E R Y G U I D E
Step 1.
Put your players in the space and talk about the dynamics of the drill.
By making it impossible to pressure neutral players but still opponents,
we encourage players to internalize two distinct behaviors when
pressing: Pressing the ball and blocking passing lanes, corresponding
to the role of first and second defender.
Step 2.
The concept of 360 perception allows them to defend all possible
spaces in situations of numerical inferiority to recover the ball.
First Drill
MISTAKES
+FEEDBACK
DIVING IN
Defenders should not dive in; the goal is to avoid being overwhelmed

IMPROVE FIRST DEFENDER ROLE C.
Description: 2v1 waves to work on defensive 1v2s.

to create a 1v1 situation and then recover the ball.
Balls come out from each side in dynamic waves,
and the attackers must overcome the 2v1s to score
in the opposing small goal.
Objectives:
Attackers: Beat the 2v1 situation to score a goal in
the opposite small goal.
Defenders: Split the 2v1 into a 1v1 to recover the
ball.
