Choosing the Right Lawyer is No ACCIDENT- A Personal Injury Guide - By Jeff Adelman (2025 Edition)
If you are reading this, you likely have been injured as a result of a car accident or slipping or tripping on someone’s premises as a result of negligence. In the pages that follow, I will provide insight as to what you should expect from a lawyer (attorney) fighting on your behalf for personal injuries. This book is intended as a general guide if you are unfortunate to have had this happen to you. It has been with the least amount of “legalese” as possible, so you do not have to be a lawyer to understand it.

Choosing the Right Lawyer is No Accident
JURY DUTY IS PATRIOTIC
Whenever I have a panel brought into a courtroom I ask them, “Who was
excited about receiving their summons to report to jury duty?” Most of
the time, nobody raises their hands.
Let’s face it. Jury duty is inconvenient. It’s not something that anybody
really wants to do. But it is necessary to uphold the democracy of the
United States of America. The “Bill of Rights” of the U.S. Constitution
guarantees the right to a jury of your peers for Americans in civil
lawsuits.
If you’re not serving in the military, there’s really no other way that you
can truly serve your country and protect democracy other than serving
on a jury. I know all the jokes about getting off of jury duty, but think
about this the next time you get a jury summons, and remember that the
power really is with the people.
