SPHERO TUNGSTEN (TM), boasting a density of 15.2 g/cm³. This excep tional

density allows the pellets to retain energy over long distances, while their

hardness ensures they maintain their shape under acceleration, resulting in

higher muzzle velocity. Thanks to its outstanding long-range ballistics, ROTT-

Superior performance for versatile hunting

The Rottweil WAIDMANNSHEIL BISMUTH cartridges feature a material density

approximately 22% higher than steel shot, resulting in increased lethality

at greater distances. The special fiber wad, combined with an H-disc, ensures

particularly uniform and wide shot patterns, improving hit rates. These

cartridges are suitable for shotguns without steel shot proofing and can be

used regardless of choke constriction, enhancing their versatility. With a maximum

muzzle velocity (V2.5 m) of up to 390 m/s, Rottweil WAIDMANNSHEIL

BISMUTH cartridges provide maximum energy transfer, extended shooting

ranges, and a reduced lead factor on moving targets.

1) Superior Material Properties:

The shot in WAIDMANNSHEIL BISMUTH cartridges is made of pure bismuth

with a density of 9.78 g/cm³, making it 22% denser than soft iron.

At the same time, it is significantly softer and more deformable.

2) Increased Hit Probability:

Due to bismuth’s higher density, a larger shot size can be used compared

to lead shot while maintaining the same shot load. This results in more

pellets per cup and an improved hit rate.

3) Versatile Hunting:

WAIDMANNSHEIL BISMUTH allows unrestricted lead-free hunting of all

types of small game, whether near water, in the forest, or in open fields.

The components and performances of each cartridge are tailored to produce

an optimal distribution of impact energy – and thereby a killing effect

– against specific game species. The fine-tuning of each load is achieved

through rigorous quality testing combined with a unique measurement

and analysis protocol. Light game species need less pattern energy – the

combination of energy delivery and pattern coverage – while heavier

species need more. In addition to its weight, the surface area of the game is

another decisive variable. Within the usual range of shooting distances for

certain species of small game, GAME EDITION cartridges deliver far more

pattern energy than is necessary for a huntsmanlike kill. This gives the small

game hunter the confidence of knowing that he has a reserve of energy if

he needs it: if the pattern isn’t quite centred on the animal, if ground game

is in full run or the birds are flying fast, or if the shooting distance lies at the
