2025 Spring Exhibition

We’re thrilled to announce our 2025 Spring Exhibition a muchanticipated

annual event that continues to serve as a vibrant

platform for new and emerging artists. Over the years, many of our

previously shortlisted artists have gone on to exhibit with

esteemed institutions such as the Royal Academy of Arts, Saatchi

Gallery, and the John Rankin Prize.

This year, from over 300 applications, we've carefully selected 25

talented artists from across the globe. Many are returning

favourites from past editions, now showcasing 64 brand-new,

never-before-seen works. The exhibition features a diverse range

of media including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, and

more offering something for every art lover to discover.

Alexandra Moskalenko

Alexandra Moskalenko, born in Paris and now living in London comes from

a family of painters. She is a self-taught artist. Her work celebrates diversity

and biodiversity, and examines the concepts of displacement, belonging

and identity.

Some of her paintings feature endangered bird species, trees and plants

and explore the relationship between human beings and the natural world.

Pink Hair

This is one of my early portraits, it’s a fictional character. I

wanted to portray a woman with different facets, so this is a

woman who is feminine with an edge represented by the

pink hair. This will be the first time this painting is exhibited.

Barbara Hodgson

I am a self-taught amateur artist. Every artwork represents a personal

adventure where I enjoy creating tonal intensity and juxtaposition to build

atmosphere. My expressive style aims to capture mood and energy, with a

vibrant colour palette and evocative marks.

Drawing and mark making are crucial to my process. I’m interested in

textures from contrasts, using a mix of transparent and opaque, definite

colours.

My preferred mediums are Pen & Ink and high flow Acrylics, which I find

versatile and vibrant. I am particularly interested in perspective, whether

‘close in’ to the scene or from an aerial or lateral viewpoint, especially if

something people would pass by without looking, can be seen all over

again.

Sunrise Over Andalucia

The morning skies in the countryside around Seville,

Andalucia are stunning all year round and never more so

than when seasons change. I concentrated on the cloud

formations to start with and the picture evolved from

there. High flow acrylics on saturated cotton watercolour

paper enabled me to create several layers, gradually

increasing in intensity. The landscape beneath

complements the morning sky, graduating into deep

purples and hints of green on the grassland. The painting

took around 12 hours to complete.

Tree in a Churchyard

This tree sits, lonely but majestic, in the churchyard of

the Church of St Mary Magdalene in the middle of

Richmond, Surrey. I used Pen and Ink en plein air,

concentrating on the textures of the ancient trunk and

branches festooned with shades of greenery. The

subsequent painting used high flow acrylics finished with

a calligraphy ink pen, to bring out the substance and

mood of a tree which no-one usually notices.

Bea Lukowska

Beata is a self-taught artist based in Cambridge. She specializes in creating

landscapes, architectural pieces, and urban scenes, with a strong passion

for capturing historical buildings in countryside settings. Being drawn

towards nature refers back to her memories of a happy childhood in

Poland. During her Architecture and Buildings Conservation studies in

Poland and in Germany, she developed a particular interest in historical

buildings and in their urban settings. Beata works from her small studio

space at home.

Damilola Joy Olusegun

Damilola Joy Olusegun (born 1997, Ogun State, Nigeria) is an artist captivated by the

intricate beauty of flowers and the expansive majesty of seascapes, landscapes, and

open skies. Her art serves as a celebration of the natural world, highlighting both the

smallest details and the grandest vistas.

Through her work, Damilola delves into the complexities and wonders of nature, finding

unique challenges and opportunities for artistic expression in her chosen subjects. She

aspires for her art to to spark conversations about the beauty and intricacy of the

natural world, encouraging viewers to see and appreciate their surrounds in new ways.

Damilola's work has gained international attention and is held in private collections

around the globe. in 2019, she was honoured with the Best Young Visual Artist of The

Year award by Everyday Chapter, a testament to her talent and dedication to her craft.

Dom Holmes

Dom Holmes is a queer British Oil-Painter based in East London. Their work is concerned

with our connection to nature within an urban environment, exploring the relevance of

seasonal wildlife and community amidst late-stage capitalism and the current climate

crisis through botanical life within cities. Their current collections are inspired by

nonindigenous species and the impact on the surroundings.

Dom is self-taught, utilising traditional oil painting methods and minimal materials,

specifically using glazes and colour theory to build depth and

intensity of colour with the fewest pigments possible.

This largescale oil painting is the first in my series

contemplating the impact of non-indigenous plant life in

urban settings, inspired by an old Ti Plant outside a house I

stayed at in Silverlake, CA, in March 2024.

Ephraim Kihondo

Painting is how I plot rebellion. A rebellion against groupthink, against power and against

societal structures rooted in fear and division. My work explores love as a radical resistance

to the above where, through critique and questioning, we arrive at the need to build worlds

curated around intention, inclusivity and love.

My practice acknowledges the pains of the present whilst also noticing the quiet hope

within it as a blueprint for a brighter future.

Mourning the cost of emotional repression, ‘Fragile

Masculinity’ journeys through a chaos of mythology, folklore

and personal introspection. Challenging inherited

narratives, it suggests the pursuit of masculinity’s peak is

futile, and that liberation begins where performance ends.

The Grave Outdoors

Set against the mythical River Styx, ‘The Grave Outdoors’

depicts the modern conundrum for the indigenous child:

surrender to consumerism’s seductive spell of sex,

money and drugs, or seek the obscured, harder path

towards love, community and ancestral memory.

Erick Teixeira

With two decades of experience in the visual arts industry, Erick has had the opportunity to

publish projects across different continents, from Latin America and North America to

Africa and Europe.

Debuting as a photographer in 2017, he has received honourable mentions in international

awards and, furthermore, contributed to art exhibitions. With simplicity and unique angles,

his work explores different aspects of traditional landscapes and contemporary

architecture, documenting the fascinating elements encountered along the way.

Eunice Bossman-Okai

Eunice Bossman-Okai’s brand name is Meitam London. Bossman-Okai is an artist who

situates her practice between conceptual and abstract art. The ideology behind her art

practice has a strong contemporary presence due to its dynamic combination of

materials, methods and concepts that challenge her and her audience’s boundaries.

Bossman-Okai’s work highlights the values and morals rooted in her spiritual beliefs,

which are shaped by her culture, nature, and spirituality. These factors contribute to the

distinctiveness of each artwork, creating a deeper understanding that extends beyond

what is apparent to the naked eye

Gill Flett

Gill explores the idea of ‘brief time’ the degradation of our urban infrastructure becoming a

physical memory - and uses materials from the construction industry, particularly mortar.

Colour is very important in the work; the selection used is drawn from a specific location,

thus becoming another element of captured memory. Gill attained her MA in Fine Art from

Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen in 2023. She now lives and works in London.

Facades (Port of Nice)

The colours in this wall piece are inspired by the facades of

buildings surrounding the port of Nice in the south of

France. Their presentation here suggests both geological

strata and streaked, weathered urban walls: deep and brief

time.

Chlorophyta

Chlorophyta is the term for green algae. The colours in this

piece were taken from an interesting area of algae on

concrete.

Their application suggests rock strata in geology; the current

day masquerading as deeper time.

Giulia Mastracchio

Giulia Mastracchio, a self-taught Italian artist based in London, is known for her intricate

stippling technique using black or white ink. Her detailed works, often requiring over 100

hours, explore human relationships, sexuality, and societal norms. As an intersectional

feminist, she uses art to provoke thought and promote representation.

Giulia’s introspective, provocative pieces challenge conventions and invite emotional

engagement. With a bold artistic voice and unwavering commitment to craft, she

continues to captivate audiences and push creative boundaries

Doomsday Was Yesterday

Created with white ink on black paper using the stippling

technique, this piece reflects on the uncertain future younger

generations may inherit shaped not by one disaster, but by a

series of ignored warnings, missed chances, and irreversible

environmental and societal choices.

Jo Lovelock

Jo is a mixed media artist based in West Sussex. She has shown work in group exhibitions

both nationally and internationally. In 2017 she had a joint exhibition at the prestigious

Gallery Gallery in Kyoto, Japan.

She has also had work selected for the RA Summer Exhibition, London (2022 & 2024) Royal

Scottish Academy, Edinburgh (2022) and Royal West of England Academy, Bristol (2022,

2023 and 2025).

Based in Denmark, I am a French artist and art furniture maker, with academic backgrounds

in art history from France and furniture making from Montreal, Canada. My work blends

straw marquetry, woodworking, and metal accents. In each piece, I weave stories drawn

from animistic folklore and fictional tales, reflecting my belief that handcrafted objects are

not merely items, but sanctuaries for souls to reside.

Kara Simpson

Kara Simpson was born in Edinburgh and now lives and works in London. She studied Fine

Art (Sculpture) in Dundee and holds an MA in design for Interactive Media. Her digital work

blends personal and pop culture nostalgia to explore thoughts, dreams, and memories.

With an unapologetically playful style, she gives dark thoughts a soft place to rest,

challenging the idea of childhood as a time of unfettered innocence while inviting reflection

and reinvention.

Keith Pointing

Graduated with a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design from Middlesex University.

Exhibited paintings include: the Henry Boxer Gallery, London, alongside Scottie Wilson and

George Grosz, the Churchgate Gallery, Porlock, curated by artist David Harrison (Victoria Miro

Gallery), alongside other artists, including Peter Doig, Issac Julien CBE RA, and Abigal Lane.

Draws on the rich symbolism of the Golden Age

Dutch still life yet pushes beyond the traditional

confines of that genre. The subtle tension between

the organic and architectural elements slowly begin

to merge, their boundaries dissolving into one

another.

Lena Applebaum

Lena Applebaum (b. 1987) is a Latvian-born British painter based in London, known for her

expressive depictions of outer space and portraits of child astronauts. Her signature character

resembling baby superheroes symbolize adventure, youth, and mystery as they

embark on cosmic journeys.

The artist’s work has been exhibited in public galleries, and is part of the permanent Collection

of the contemporary art museum Gainesboro Modern in the USA.

Lena’s work is held in private collections across the UK, USA, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong,

China, Switzerland, France, the Czech Republic, Germany, and Spain.

Celestial Hunter

"Celestial Hunter “is an oil painting depicting a

dreamlike cosmic expanse. Swirling galaxies

and luminous clouds form the backdrop for

Louis Szabo

Louis Szabo started his journey as a self-taught realism landscape artist at 15 years old,

dedicated to creating impactful works that romanticise the immense biodiversity of the

natural world. His paintings capture nature’s beauty through a realistic yet painterly style,

using rich colour, juxtaposed textures, and atmospheric depth to bring landscapes to life with

precision and emotion.

Eris & The Apple Of Discord

Eris, the Goddess of Discord presents an apple to the

Goddess befitting the title of "The Most Beautiful".

Hera, Athena and Aphrodite bicker and fought among

themselves to claim the title. A quarrel that eventually

led to the Trojan war.

Yamadori

Inspired by the Japanese tradition of bonsai. This

giant pine tree stood out to me due to its gnarly,

woody characteristics and contrasting deadwood

features, which closely reminded me of a bonsai.

Maduka Onyebuchi

Maduka Emmanuel Onyebuchi (b. 1997) is a visual artist living and working in Port Harcourt,

Rivers State, Nigeria. His passion as a ballpoint pen artist comes from a lifelong obsession with

creativity. From a tender age, Maduka has always tried to manipulate objects and materials in

order to bring up something creative and artistic, then he finally chose the ballpoint pen as his

medium of art which he claims to be another means of writing stories.

As a self-thought artist, he has been drawing since he was nine, Maduka released his first

hyperrealism masterpiece in 2020 titled “Behind The Veil” which illustrates a political issue of

human rights and freedom for women, the first series of “Behind The Veil” was sold to a

collector in New York.

Symphony of Souls is one of the episodes from *The Art of

Becoming* project, delves into the pivotal role that friendships and

social circles play in shaping our identities. The artwork visually

articulates the profound influence that our connections have on our

personal journey. Through a nuanced portrayal of figures with

interrelated features, it emphasizes how our friends and social

environments can reflect and influence our own traits and

behaviours.

The piece serves as a metaphor for the impact of social circles on

our self-perception and personal growth. It suggests that the

people we surround ourselves with not only mirror aspects of our

own identity but also help shape our outlook and mentality.

*Symphony of Souls* invites viewers to reflect on how their social

interactions and relationships contribute to their overall sense of

self. It challenges them to consider how their friendships influence

their personal development and how the dynamics within their

circle of friends can impact their journey toward becoming their

best selves.

Mary Swift

Mary Swift is a London based professional artist and illustrator. Artist in third generation,

painting from early childhood. Holding a diploma in textile interior design, Mary is working

freely in any medium and scale, preferring oil or acrylic on canvas, her attention devoted

to the love of nature and festive patterns of the universe. Inspired by birds, animals and

memories, she creates whimsical characters and tells a story with every painting.

A forgotten nostalgic Roly Poly doll. She is still hoping

for a child to come and play with her, but the child is

grown up and never coming back. Never mind, she is

up anyway! It’s who she is.

Fern in Bloom

Fern is an ancient plant. The legend has it, it blooms

once a year, on the spring equinox at midnight, to show

where the treasure is buried. Green woodpecker looks

like some fantastic magic phoenix, the keeper of that

treasure.

Hope of Happiness

Daffodils are the essence of spring! Spring fills the

heart with hopes and longing and joy, fluttering

just like those bright, fantastic butterflies. That

would fly far away and, maybe, take you with them

someday…

Paul Flanders

My main subject is primarily nocturnal urban landscapes, painted directly on site, around

Southeast London and, more recently, West Timor, Indonesia. I am influenced by urban

photographers such as Brassaï and Saul Leiter, artists such as Edward Hopper and Doreen

Fletcher and noir films such as ‘M’, ‘Blade Runner’ and ‘Fallen Angels’. I draw on these

influences to explore the relationship between a developing city’s rapidly changing, modular

landscape, and it's diverse and increasingly fluid, impermanent community.

Sara Rawlinson is a fine art photo-artist searching for peace within the femme fatale nature

of geological current events. Her abstract photographs ask viewers to reflect on the viability,

longevity, and fragility of both sustainability and tranquillity, searching for peace within the

changing climate. She also works as an exhibition curator, does website design, and

Sokari Higgwe

Sokari is a self-trained photographer, based in the UK whose work is driven by his passion for

architecture, art, design & the human form. Having initially graduated with a bachelor’s degree

in philosophy and later an MSC in business information Technology.

He worked in investment banking in the City of London for several years before embarking on

an artistic career with his first solo exhibition in 2013, a significant milestone that showcased

his deep understanding of visual storytelling. His pivot from finance to working in the arts full

time, marks a pursuit of passion as he embraced his photography skills to explore and capture

the interplay of light, texture, and shapes in architecture, as well as the human form.

Today, Sokari's artistic vision finds expression not only through his photography but also

through his role as the founder of the London Lighthouse Gallery & Studio in East London. The

gallery has hosted ground-breaking exhibitions by rising stars of the art world and established

artists from around the world.

Stathis Dimitriadis

Stathis’s making resides at the convergence of conceptual art, ceramics and concrete poetry.

His interest derives from how the material qualities of a thing influence our understanding of

its expressive function. Stathis was born in Greece and lives and works in London.

He was a finalist for the Royal Society of Sculptors Public Art Award 2015, the National

Sculpture Prize 2016 and his work was included in ceramic Biennials and public collections in

Portugal, Spain, Austria, Greece, Germany and Romania.

spanning over three decades. His work covers many genres of Photography

Teresa Lynn Williams

Teresa is a mixed media photographer employing hand embroidery, collage and

recyclable materials. Her work has been selected for exhibition at Uniqlo Lates Tate

Modern London, Photo Oxford, London Lighthouse Gallery, Glasgow Gallery of

Photography, and St. Petersburg, Florida.

She was recently invited to join the prestigious Easterly Artists group, and has exhibited

with them at the First Light Festival in Suffolk. She has been published in several zine

publications and has an MA in photography from Falmouth University.

Wendy is an emerging artist who infuses her vibrant abstract creations with deep joy,

bright energy, and gratitude. Based in the East Anglian region of the United Kingdom,

Wendy rediscovered her love of art in mid-2024. Wendy takes inspiration from her

rural surroundings, childhood memories of living by the sea and deeply individual

experiences.

It was following a challenging time with menopause issues that she rekindled her

love for painting, using it to bring joy into her life.
