AUTHOR TALKS
In the Margins
by Gail Holmes
This extraordinary story is inspired by real-life
Frances Wolfreston who lived and wrote in the
margins of time. In The Margins narrates women’s
restricted lives during 1600s puritanical England and
the risks Frances confronted for being an intellectual
woman, which included preserving the only known
copies of Shakespeare’s earliest works. Scottishborn
Gail Holmes, an engineer and commercial
manager, began writing in Shanghai while raising
five children. She later earned a Master of Creative
Writing in Australia. In the Margins is her debut novel.

Here You Are, Courageous
by Lauren Rose
Author, YouTuber, and host of the Us Anxious Folk
podcast, Lauren Rose is a creative soul who believes
courage and fear can coexist. Rather than trying to
fix or cure her anxiety, she embraces it as part of
her human experience. In 2021, Lauren won the Hay
House Writer’s Workshop, securing a book deal. Her
debut book, Here You Are, Courageous, is a love letter
to anxiety—honouring panic, fear, resistance, and
growth while sharing the profound lessons she has
learned. Join Lauren for an inspiring author talk as
