THE VANCOUVER CLUB

FROM

CELLARS

TO

SI PS

011

THE VA NCOUVER CLUB | 915 West Hastings Street

Nestled in the heart of downtown

Vancouver, The Vancouver Club is a

cornerstone of the city?s social and

cultural fabric? a refined sanctuary

where heritage meets currency. Since

1889, it has offered its members more

than just a place to gather; it

provides a true sense of belonging.

With its enduring legacy and spirit of

innovation, the club blends timeless

elegance with contemporary

sophistication. Within its storied walls,

members connect over good

conversation, shared interests, and

memorable moments.

013

Among its many celebrated member

benefits, one extraordinary program

personifies the club: its exceptional w ine

program. Rooted in the club?s rich history,

this program has grown into a defining

feature.

Over generations, the club has fostered a

vibrant culture around shared sips and

meaningful conversation, where wine is more

than a beverage? it is a vessel for

connection.

Under the guidance of the club?s Wine &

Spirits Director, Randy Chafe, the program

honours the world?s most esteemed wine

regions and producers, forging lasting

partnerships built on trust, tradition, and

taste. The result is a cellar that invites

members to savour the extraordinary, and a

community built around shared appreciation.

ICON IC WIN E DIN N ERS

The wine program is built on the club?s iconic

Wine Dinners, signature evenings where

members, winemakers, and culinary talent

come together for a gastronomic journey.

The club?s impressive lineup of recent

features includes Sassicaia, a jewel of the

wine realm, Château Pétrus, Pearl of

Burgundy, Domaine Faiveley, and Rocca

di M ontegrossi. These exclusive events offer

members the rare opportunity to enjoy these

iconic wines with the people who make them

and hear the stories behind the labels.

Each evening is a journey of discovery,

pairing remarkable wines with thoughtfully

crafted dishes designed to elevate their

flavours and highlight their complexities.

More than just a meal, each dinner reveals

the stories behind the bottles and offers an

intimate glimpse into the world of these

iconic producers.

015

PRIVATE LABELS WITH PURPOSE

Through long-lasting relationships with

producers, the club can secure private labels

made for and enjoyed solely by members.

Private label bottling extends to all the

major wine regions of the world, including

Champagne, Bordeaux, Chianti, Sancerre,

California, and, of course, British Columbia.

From the delicate bubbles of the

VC Champagne to the bold VC Burgundy,

each bottle is a testament to the reach of

the club. It is not just grapes, sun, and soil; it

is a unique experience that creates

memorable moments for members. These

partnerships do not just enhance the cellar

selection; they enrich the club's identity.

CHOOSIN G THE BOTTLES

When building the cellar collection,

Director Randy's philosophy is more than

just taste; it is alignment.

?It is important that we do not just choose

the wine; we must align with the producer

and the winery. We look for like-minded

companies that share our values, history,

and passion.?

This approach extends well beyond the

wine program; it is embedded in every

department and every partnership across

the club. In a market flooded with options,

what sets our selections apart is an

unw avering commitment to quality and

authenticity.

Each bottle in the collection is chosen not

only for its flavour, but for its story, the rarity,

provenance, and people behind it.

017

A CELLAR FULL OF STORIES

The club?s impressive cellar holds

more than fine wine; it holds

memories. Each bottle carries a story,

with some selections made by

members themselves. These wines

have travelled across continents,

creating shared moments and

enriching the club?s legacy with

every pour.

VC members have cycled through the

rolling hills of Tuscany and France,

returning with bottles that capture

the spirit of their journey.

They have walked the sun-drenched

vineyards of Portugal, ensuring that

every glass poured back at the club

reflects the true essence of their

travels. And what is next? An

adventure to Argentina, where

members will explore bold reds.

These journeys are far more than

vacations? they are immersive

experiences, reserved for Vancouver

Club members alone. They embody

the spirit of adventure, the strength of

community, and a legacy built

one sip at a time.

019

THE CULIN ARY M ASTERM IN D:

CHEF JEROM E N ORTON

A fundamental part of club culture is

exquisite cuisine, led by Executive Chef

Jerome N orton. A visionary in the kitchen

and a leader in the club?s commitment to

excellence, Chef Jerome works closely with

the wine team to design menus that do not

just stand alongside the wine but elevate it.

His approach is thoughtful and precise.

With every menu, he asks: What is the w ine

saying? How can the dish respond? The

resulting plates are masterclasses in balance

and contrast.

A bold and smoky aubergine, paired with a

dark, brooding Bordeaux, each element

crafted to complement each other.

Beyond his talent, Chef Jerome?s

leadership is part of what makes these

experiences unforgettable.

PERFECT PAIRIN GS

Where would masterfully prepared food

be with masterfully selected wine? The

marriage between what is on the plate

and what is in the glass is key. Tasting

sessions between Chef Jerome and

Director Randy are harmonious.

They perfectly pair each course to ensure

the flavours complement and enhance one

another. Preparing a menu can take

one of two routes: the wine comes first

or the meal does.

021

For the next signature wine-paired dinner,

Chef Jerome will begin with a single

standout ingredient.

He will build an entire menu around it with

exceptional flavours that aim to enhance

the main item, each dish preparing the

palate for the next.

Once the menu is set, Director Randy

carefully selects each w ine to complement

the flavour profile of the meal, enhancing

the experience.

In contrast, at the recent Sassicaia dinner,

the wines took centre stage. The brand

supplied the beverages and Chef Jerome

designed each course to bring out the

specific expressions.

A CLUB BEYON D THE REST

At the Vancouver Club, tradition is not a

burden. It is the foundation, where legacy

leads to innovation, and only excellence is

accepted.

The wine program perfectly embodies the

philosophy of the club: a world-class cellar,

exclusive partnerships, premium dinners,

unforgettable travel, and memories that will

last a lifetime.

More than that, it is a community. A table

shared. A bottle passed. A story told.

A relationship formed. All at the club.

HA RRIET CORRIERO | Vestis Fashion Group

H C

For Harriet Corriero, fashion is

far more than fabric and fit? it is

in her blood, passed down from

generations of entrepreneurs,

artisans, and style mavens. As

Vice President of Retail at

Vestis Fashion Group Inc.,

Harriet leads with strength, style,

and heart, driving a

family-owned business into its

next bold chapter.

Her journey is fiercely

professional, deeply maternal,

and unapologetically inspired by

the Italian values of elegance,

tradition, and family unity.

Raised by a devoted mother,

Catherine Guadagnuolo, a

pioneering woman who brought

M ax M ara to N orth America,

Harriet was immersed in the

world of women?s fashion from an

early age.

?I learned everything I know from

my mother,? Harriet reflects. ?She

is my biggest influence, and that

legacy continues to guide the

choices I make today.?

What began as childhood lessons

watching her mother in the

showroom evolved into a

full-fledged career? one built on

passion, discipline, and an

intuitive understanding of how

clothing can make a woman feel.

FASHION AS A LIFESTYLE

Today, Harriet oversees the

operations of M ax M ara,

Weekend M ax M ara,

M ax&Co., and M arella in

Western Canada. With over a

decade of experience in fashion

buying and management, she

brings both strategic insight and

personal flair to her role.

027

Her refined aesthetic, shaped by years of

hands-on retail and a lifetime of creative

exposure, translates into curated

collections that celebrate both timeless

style and modern practicality.

?The Max Mara ethos hinges on bringing

pragmatic and timeless dressing solutions

to everyday women,? Harriet explains.

?The brands are synonymous with classic,

timeless dressing and pieces that work

hard in your closet.?

That philosophy mirrors Harriet?s personal

approach to style. As a mother to two

little girls under three, she favours an

effortless, classic aesthetic? one she

can live in while navigating meetings,

managing teams, and chasing toddlers

at the park. Her wardrobe is a reflection

of that balance: polished, yet practical;

chic, yet grounded.

M OTHERHOOD M EETS LEADERSHIP

Harriet?s approach to business is deeply

maternal? not just in how she nurtures her

own young daughters, but in the way she

leads teams, builds relationships, and

cultivates community.

?Motherhood has made me stronger,

more intuitive, and more present,? she

says. ?It has shifted my perspective in the

best possible way. I am more empathetic

and more focused on creating

meaningful experiences, not just

transactions.?

On weekends, Harriet can often be found

preparing vibrant M editerranean meals

for friends and family, or hosting playful

holiday-themed events for her daughters

and their young friends.

029

The Farmers M arket is a regular weekend

ritual, where she introduces her girls to the

colours, tastes, and people behind local

produce. It is here? between fresh herbs,

sun-ripened tomatoes, and handmade

bread? that Harriet finds the same kind of

inspiration she brings into her showrooms.

Her affinity for lifestyle and home is woven

into her brand?s success.

She says with a smile, ?I love 'all things

creative,' and outside of work, I have a

penchant for home and lifestyle.?

That passion shows in everything from

store design and merchandising to

community engagement and personal

styling. The environments she curates are

warm, elegant, and welcoming? just like

the atmosphere of her family home.

A BUSIN ESS REIM AGIN ED

Vestis Fashion Group Inc., originally

founded in 1985, has long been a leader

in bringing Italian w omen?s w ear to

Canadian markets. Now, under Harriet?s

leadership, the business has expanded its

reach and relevance. The recent openings

of M ax&Co. and M arella in Vancouver?s

CF Pacific Centre mark a generational

evolution in the company?s story.

?This is kind of full circle for us,? Harriet

shares. ?My mom brought Max Mara as a

license to North America? she opened the

first stores here. Now we have opened the

first Max&Co. and Marella locations in

Western Canada. It feels like the

beginning of an exciting new era.?

031

Vestis now operates six locations in

Vancouver, with two more slated to open

at Oakridge Centre. Each space

embodies a unique blend of old- w orld

charm and contemporary elegance.

From the iconic tailoring of Max Mara to

the laid-back sophistication of Weekend

Max Mara, and the youthful spirit of

Max&Co., every brand under the Vestis

umbrella reflects the values Harriet holds

dear: quality, longevity, beauty,

and purpose.

IN HER OWN STYLE

Whether she is curating a capsule

wardrobe for a client, selecting next

season?s collections from M ilan, or

training her team to deliver elevated

service, Harriet brings a maternal

intelligence and a modern sensibility to

her work. She understands that women

today are not just looking for

clothing? they are looking for ease, for

confidence, for a sense of self. Her role is

to help them find it.

?I believe in thoughtful clothing,? Harriet

says. ?Clothing that reflects who you are,

that supports you through every part of

your day, and that makes you feel like the

best version of yourself.?

With her Italian-Canadian heritage,

lifelong immersion in fashion, and the

unshakable strength of a mother,

Harriet Corriero is shaping the future of

women's wear in Western Canada.

ARTIST STATEM EN T

"Only the imagination is real."

William Carlos Williams

"Three principles shape my practice and

each emphasizes the open-ended process

of making paintings and texts:

development by transformation

(Stanley William Hayter, Atelier 17, Paris);

form is never more than an extension of

content (Robert Creeley in Charles Olson,

?Projective Verse?); the medium is the

message (M arshall M cLuhan).

A close reading of contemporary poetry

and poetics, and of Canadian, American,

European and Asian art, also informs my

practice as a painter and printmaker."

037

"I work in serial runs of various lengths,

clusters of work, each of which explores a

particular nexus of emotional,

conceptual, aesthetic and technical

challenges. Sometimes the clusters break

down into subsets of pairs, trios or

quartets of paintings or prints, each

subset exploring a tangent or angle

suggested by the direction of the main

group.

Sometimes I work in a diptych format or

I?ll bisect a horizontal format with a

vertical line to make a fictive diptych:

both formats rime with the pages of an

opened book. In addition, my preferred

format in scale rimes with the standard 8

½ ? x 11? letter page, which further

proposes a rime between a painting and

a manuscript. In one sense, each painting

is a page from a manuscript, a book in

progress. For me, painting and writing ??

mark making ?? are one activity, the

basic work of the hand.

In the studio the search is for discovery

through proprioception (sensibility within

the organism by movement of its own

tissue), that is, the intelligence of the

body. In my practice it isn?t reason over

passion, or passion over reason, but

reason w ith passion. Not depiction of

?the real? but reenactment of the real

through the proprioception of rimed

experience, language, landscape and

art. My interest is not in representation,

but in presentation."

"My practice deals with exploring specific

natural and architectural spaces, and

reframing these spaces through the

embodiment of a different set of senses,

memories, and imagination. Anchored in my

own memories and perceptions, my paintings

and sculptural installations are manifestations

of this transient nature of space and its

elements? from which I hope a viewer can

extract his or her own experience unrestricted

by the barriers between the real and the

surreal.

Through my practice, the use of space and the

innerscape is reframed and expressed through

gathering objects or images of architectural

and natural spaces, and re-appropriating

them through my paintings and draw ings. By

transforming these spatial images through my

work, I attempt to explore complex

relationships between architecture,

perception, and imagination. Through this

exploration, I hope my work can open up a

contemplative and imaginative perception of

space through this relational process and that

the interplay between the paintings, drawings,

and sculptural installations evoke in the viewer

their own series of contemplative moments as

they pass through their own innerscape."

LADY DI OR

ART #9

053

DIOR | Fairmont Hotel Vancouver | Dow ntow n

D

Each year, the House of Dior reaffirms

its place at the intersection of fine

craftsmanship and artistic expression

through the Dior Lady Art project? an

invitation extended to artists from across

the globe to reinterpret the Lady Dior

bag as a work of art. Now in its ninth

edition, this initiative once again

showcases the Maison's commitment to

cultural dialogue, creative freedom, and

exceptional savoir-faire.

Originally conceived in 20 16, Dior Lady

Art transforms the emblematic handbag

into a platform for storytelling. With its

architectural silhouette and signature

cannage motif, the Lady Dior becomes

a blank canvas? one that artists are

encouraged to appropriate and

reimagine through their unique lens.

The result is not simply a bag, but a

poetic object born of alchemy between

heritage and contemporary vision.

055

In this latest edition, eleven artists?

Sara Flores, Jeffrey Gibson,

Woo Kukw on, Danielle M cKinney,

Duy Anh N han Duc, Hayal Pozanti,

Faith Ringgold, Vaughn Spann,

Anna Weyant, Liang Yuanw ei, and

Huang Yuxing? offer their

interpretations of this icon, infusing each

creation with personal narratives,

cultural commentary, and material

mastery.

From the delicate harmony of plant

motifs to boldly political statements

rendered in beads and embroidery,

these reimaginings extend far beyond

fashion. They challenge the conventional

definitions of luxury, elevating the Lady

Dior into a collector?s artefact, a

symbolic vessel of modern identity and

global artistry.

Each bag is a masterstroke of technique

and imagination. Whether evoking

dreamlike landscapes, ancestral

symbolism, or introspective femininity,

every piece pushes the boundaries of

design. Yet at their core, all pay tribute

to the timeless elegance and

transformative potential embedded in

the Lady Dior.

A celebration of global perspectives,

Dior Lady Art # 9 is not simply a

collaboration? it is a living gallery of

contemporary visionaries, unified by one

muse: the Lady Dior.

057

Anna Weyant

Canadian- born Weyant merges Old Master

painting techniques with surrealist femininity.

Her designs range from gilded blooms to

wood-grain textures, echoing the nostalgic,

shadowy quality of her painted figures.

Faith Ringgold

A pioneer of American feminist and civil rights

art, Ringgold brought her quilted narratives to

six final creations before her passing in 20 24.

Her Lady Dior bags highlight freedom,

community, and Black identity through

patchwork, beading, and painted portraits.

Woo Kukw on

Based in South Korea, Woo fuses pop surrealism

with familial storytelling. His whimsical bags

feature his wife, daughter, and dog, adorned

with colourful threads, cherry blossoms, and

symbolic embellishments.

Vaughn Spann

N ew Jersey- based Spann blends abstraction

and figuration to explore themes of identity and

Black history. For Dior, he reinterprets the bag

through geometric motifs and his signature "X"

iconography, rendered in transparent pinks and

striking textural contrasts.

Liang Yuanw ei

The Beijing artist draws on traditional Chinese

ceramics and floral patterns. Her Lady Dior

features 3D-printed resin florals inspired by

Song dynasty vases and finished with antique

gold and jade-hued accents.

059

Duy Anh N han Duc

Vietnamese- born and Paris- based, this

botanical artist channels nature?s fragility in

his vegan leather bag adorned with floral

embossing, golden vines, and his signature

dandelion encapsulated in resin.

Jeffrey Gibson

Of Choctaw - Cherokee descent, Gibson is

known for merging Indigenous craft with pop

culture. His Lady Dior pays homage to love

and resistance through beaded slogans and

3D-printed heart padlocks, evoking the locks

of Parisian bridges.

Danielle M cKinney

Alabama- born McKinney paints introspective

female figures in richly coloured domestic

scenes. Her Lady Dior features

hand-embroidered silhouettes and delicate

butterflies, capturing the dreamlike stillness

of her work.

Hayal Pozanti

This Turkish- American artist creates

fantastical, coded landscapes. Her bags

incorporate trekking elements, from sheepskin

to climbing gear, while one version dazzles

with rhinestones and mirrored interiors that

reflect both viewer and world.

061

Sara Flores

From the Peruvian Amazon, Flores integrates

Shipibo-Conibo textile traditions into

hypnotic patterns. Her two bags, adorned

with bead constellations and silver accents,

channel Kené?s spiritual pathways and

plant-based dyes.

Huang Yuxing

Beijing- based Huang is celebrated for his

luminous, dreamlike works infused with

meditative detail. His Lady Dior designs

encapsulate themes of time, memory, and

rebirth in a radiant, painterly expression of

transformation.

At select Dior boutiques, visitors are invited

to explore the fine details - from handcrafted

embroidery to the tactile beauty of rare

materials. Each piece comes to life in a way

that transcends the page.

Locally, guests can also personalize their

Lady Dior with an array of refined

accessories, from DIOR charms to

interchangeable straps, creating a

one-of-a-kind expression of style and

sentiment. This is more than a handbag

? it is a w earable masterpiece waiting

This year?s collection, designed under the

creative direction of N athalie Verdeille,

Chief Artistic Officer of Jewelry and High

Jewelry, evokes the rhythm, mystery, and

majesty of the ocean through six intricate

thematic chapters: Seahorse, Sea Turtle,

Ocean Flora, Starfish, Urchin, and Wave.

Each chapter pays tribute to the marvels of

marine life through meticulous craftsmanship,

rare gemstones, and exquisite artistry.

067

Whether carved in diamonds, sculpted in gold,

or illuminated by Zambian emeralds and blue

tourmalines, Sea of Wonder transports

wearers into a world where the natural and

the fantastical converge.

A LEGACY REIM AGIN ED

More than a collection, Blue Book 20 25:

Sea of Wonder is a lyrical continuation of

Tiffany & Co.?s design heritage, deeply

inspired by the House?s legendary designer,

Jean Schlumberger. His fascination with

marine life, particularly its sinuous forms and

poetic symbolism, serves as the foundation for

this oceanic narrative. From the figurative to

the abstract, Verdeille carries Schlumberger?s

vision forward, pushing boundaries with bold

silhouettes, sculptural dynamism, and

exceptional gemstones.

Verdeille remarks, ?This collection represents

the very foundations of our House: inventive

design, expert craftsmanship and, of course,

gemstones of extreme rarity. Each piece

invites us to lose ourselves in the rich

storytelling as we embark on a journey

through uncharted realms of the deep sea.?

EXPLORIN G THE CHAPTERS

Each chapter of Sea of Wonder delves into a

distinct interpretation of the ocean, honouring

its textures, creatures, and movements with

exceptional detail and artistry.

Ocean Flora introduces a garden beneath

the waves, rendered in radiant Zambian

emeralds and diamonds. A notable necklace

features cascading emeralds that appear to

bloom among a lattice of brilliant stones,

capturing the lush, untamed beauty of aquatic

plant life.

069

Seahorse breathes new life into

Schlumberger?s 1968 brooches. Here,

moonstones, zircons, and sapphires

are arranged to emulate the sea

creature?s delicate form. The soft

iridescence of the moonstones

against the crisp brilliance of

coloured gemstones creates a sense

of movement and grace.

Sea Turtle embraces geometric

intricacy and organic detail. A

highlight is the Sea Turtle pendant,

featuring a hidden mechanism that

allows the piece to transform into a

brooch? symbolic of the turtle?s

passage between land and sea.

Crafted in yellow gold and set with

pavé diamonds, the shell?s geometry is

masterfully interpreted by Tiffany

artisans.

Starfish captures the exuberance of

the ocean?s most whimsical forms.

Rubies sourced from Mozambique, 18k

yellow gold, and rose-cut diamonds

are combined using advanced cutting

techniques to produce pieces with

dramatic curvature and

multidimensional sparkle. With

celestial overtones, these jewels

blur the line between naturalism

and abstraction.

Urchin channels Jean Schlumberger?s

inventive spirit through texture and

light. The collection revisits paillonné

enameling, a 19th-century decorative

art form that Schlumberger helped

revive. These pieces shimmer with

thorny elegance, the enameled

surfaces echoing the subtle

iridescence of deep-sea creatures.

Wave serves as the grand finale? a

chapter of fluid architecture and

cinematic scale. The Wave necklace

features over 17 carats of vivid

cuprian elbaite tourmalines that surge

like water through white diamonds.

Inspired by Schlumberger?s famous

Leaves Necklace, the design captures

the kinetic power of crashing surf in

wearable form.

M ASTERPIECES OF M OVEM EN T

At its heart, Sea of Wonder

celebrates movement? not only the

literal motion of water, but the

forward motion of high jewellery

itself. The collection is rich with

transformative elements: pendants

that become brooches, gemstones

that appear to float, and silhouettes

that seem to ripple like waves

in the tide.

071

073

This fluidity is not merely aesthetic,

but philosophical? speaking to

Tiffany & Co.?s ongoing evolution and

dedication to innovation.

Each piece exemplifies Tiffany?s

enduring pursuit of excellence,

reflecting a balance of heritage and

modernity. Techniques drawn from

archival craftsmanship are refined and

reinvented, resulting in jewellery that is

both timeless and boldly contemporary.

AN ODE TO N ATURE

As Blue Book 20 25: Sea of Wonder

explores the depths of the ocean, it

reminds us that nature?s most

awe-inspiring wonders are often hidden

far from view. In every seahorse, every

glinting wave, and every jewel-like

urchin, the collection honours the

beauty of the unknow n, inviting us to

rediscover the Earth?s mysteries through

an artistic lens.

It is this reverence for the natural

world? paired with Tiffany & Co.?s

unwavering commitment to creativity,

technique, and rarity? that defines the

House?s Blue Book legacy. Since 1837,

Tiffany & Co. has sought to capture the

extraordinary. With Sea of Wonder,

it has succeeded once again.

075

FAZI OLI

SHOWCA SE PIA NOS PRESENTS | Fazioli A ria

AFor

connoisseurs of music and design,

the name Fazioli is synonymous with

precision, purity, and prestige.

Founded by Paolo Fazioli in 1981, the

brand emerged from a singular vision:

to craft the finest grand pianos in the

world. Drawing upon his dual

expertise in engineering and music,

Fazioli defied convention by

producing instruments that blend

technical excellence with artisanal

beauty.

Each Fazioli piano is a testament to

uncompromising craftsmanship and

sonic brilliance, hand- built in Sacile,

Italy, and coveted by concert

pianists and collectors alike.

Within this extraordinary lineage, the

Fazioli Aria stands alone? an

unprecedented creation born of

legacy, innovation, and the eternal

desire to elevate sound into art.

081

Aria is all about the music, and

nowhere is that truer than in the

singular creation of the Fazioli

Aria? the only one of its kind

in the world.

Conceived by the visionary

Philippe Gendre, this concert grand

piano transcends the expected,

blurring the line between high design

and musical sculpture.

With dimensions of 30 0 cm in length,

180 .6 cm in width, and 10 2.2 cm in

height, Aria commands attention

before even a single note is played.

DESIGN WITH DUAL PURPOSE

A dual vocation guides this majestic

instrument: to perform and to

decorate. Its visual concept draws

from the poetic image of a bird in

mid-launch, its left wing stretched

wide, the right tucked in, poised just

before taking flight.

That sense of movement is intensified

by a rich, dark blue body paired with

vivid silver aluminum? echoing the

shimmer of feathers in motion.

ARCHITECTURE OF SOUN D

This piano is a study in both form and

function. Its aerodynamic shape is

accented by an upsweep chrome

body, a chrome stick lid, and a striking

chrome pedestal. The pedestal, built

like an inverted pyramid, hides the

pedal mechanism? streamlining the

silhouette and allowing the triangle

motif to shine. Those same triangles

appear in the keys and in the inverted

inlays on every pedestal face, a

deliberate nod to Art Deco.

M OVEM EN T IN STILLN ESS

The piano?s squared-off tail and top

edge form a triangle when the lid is

open? like the sail of a boat catching

sunlight. The grand length-to-height

ratio simulates a vessel floating above

the ground, with chrome elements

catching and reflecting light. Together

with the sleek ebony body, they

create a kinetic harmony of

contrasts. The Aria is not only meant to

be heard; it is meant to be seen,

admired, and remembered.

083

SHAPES IN HARM ON Y

From every angle, Aria transforms. It

evokes the lift of a wave, the glide of a

fish, and the grace of a bird.

Asymmetrical and dynamic, the piano

encourages visual exploration. It plays

with balance and imbalance, delivering

what the designer called ?tidy disorder.?

But its power lies in the sound: the lone

pedestal allows for sustained acoustics,

while the confirmed base construction

delivers unprecedented depth in the low

register. With Aria, sound does not just

resonate? it soars.

A M ASTERPIECE LIKE N O OTHER

The Fazioli Aria is not just rare? it is

singular. Only one has ever existed, with

a price tag of $795,0 0 0 . This is not

merely a musical instrument; it is a

collector?s dream, an heirloom of

innovation and artistry.

M EET THE COUPLE

Tianna and Jacky Tran' s

20 th w edding anniversary was a

milestone they had long dreamed of

celebrating in a spectacular way. The

couple had originally planned to

renew their vows in Iceland, but the

pandemic derailed their plans. A

friend suggested a more local, yet

equally breathtaking, location,

Whistler?s legendary ice caves.

The couple quickly fell in love with the

idea of exchanging their vows in such

a unique, awe-inspiring space. The

journey to the ice caves was as

exhilarating as the destination itself.

Tianna and Jacky, filled with

anticipation, were flown to the remote

location by Head- line M ountain

Holidays. As they soared above the

snow-covered peaks, they marveled

at the stunning landscape below.

Along for the ride was N ick Chau and

the talented team from SoWedding,

capturing every precious moment. The

photos from this day, bathed in

ethereal light filtering through the ice,

would forever serve as a testament to

their love and resilience.

In the heart of the ice caves, Tianna

and Jacky exchanged vows,

surrounded by the cool, still beauty of

the ice. Their words echoed in the

space? deep, pure, and filled with

emotion. As they kissed to seal their

promises, it felt as though the ice itself

melted in celebration.

This moment, so intimate and

breathtaking, was a celebration of

love, adventure, and resilience. What

had started as a dream to travel to

Iceland became a local adventure

they would treasure forever,

surrounded by nature?s magnificence

and captured in unforgettable

photographs.

As they boarded the helicopter to

return to Whistler, their hearts were

full, knowing they had experienced

something truly unique and personal.

Their 20 th anniversary vow renewal,

set in the heart of Whistler?s ice caves,

would be a memory they would

cherish forever.

RIVERSIDE LUX URY CRUISES | Danube River

M

To sail aboard Riverside Luxury Cruise

Lines ' The M ozart' is to embrace a

seamless escape? where one unpacks only

once and yet experiences a multitude of

enriching moments.

Whether dining in one of the ship?s

world-class restaurants, indulging in spa

treatments complete with sauna and

massage, venturing ashore on curated

excursions, or simply enjoying a cup of

Earl Grey or a glass of Taittinger Rosé on

the Vista Deck as the scenic Wachau

Valley drifts by, every moment is designed

to encourage relaxation and delight.

109

Luxury river cruising offers a distinct level

of intimacy and sophistication that

ocean liners, however grand, are unable

to replicate.

With fewer guests onboard, each traveller

is welcomed into an environment where

personal attention reigns supreme.

Names are remembered, preferences

anticipated, and signature cocktails

arrive just the way you like

them? effortlessly.

This considered approach creates not only

a warm rapport between guests and crew

but also fosters meaningful connections

among fellow passengers. The experience

evokes the charm of a floating boutique

hotel, where elegance and ease set the

tone for an unforgettable journey.

Traversing the dozen locks along the

Danube River aboard The Mozart is an

exhilarating experience that adds a layer

of drama and intimacy to river cruising.

While many of the passages occur at

night, unnoticed by sleeping guests, the

few that unfold during the day inspire a

flurry of excitement.

Guests rush to the top deck, drawn by the

thunderous churn of w ater and the

rhythmic clanging of the machinery as

the ship is lifted or lowered within

towering concrete walls. The sensation of

rising or falling within the lock chamber is

both powerful and oddly graceful,

a mechanical ballet that contrasts

sharply with the steady vastness of ocean

cruises. Here, one truly feels the force of

the river and the ingenuity of human

engineering working in harmony.

111

SPACIOUS SUITES

On the Riverside Mozart, time itself seems

to move at a different pace. The ship

redefines luxury on the Danube, offering

spacious suites in place of standard

cabins? the smallest of which spans an

impressive 20 square metres. No other

vessel on the river matches its generous

proportions or the high crew - to- guest

ratio, ensuring exceptional service

throughout your voyage.

Each suite is a masterclass in refined

living, featuring sumptuous materials such

as velvet and brocades, king- size beds,

Japanse toilets, and marble bathrooms,

of timeless elegance. Thoughtfully

appointed with a plush armchair or sofa,

and adorned in a soft, natural palette

inspired by the Danube?s shifting tones,

every suite offers a private sanctuary in

which to unwind. A personal butler

(available by WhatsApp) attends to each

suite, enhancing the overall sense of

effortless luxury, and maintaining a

w ell- stocked mini fridge.

Taste, of course, is deeply personal. But

aboard the Riverside Mozart, beauty is

undeniable and comfort uncompromised.

No matter which suite you select, you are

assured an experience of rare

distinction? where every detail reflects

the art of gracious travel.

113

OWN ER?S SUITE

The pinnacle of elegance aboard the

Riverside Mozart, the Owner?s Suite

is an expansive sanctuary spanning

80 square metres, formed by the seamless

combination of the M ozart Suite and the

Riverside Suite. Designed for those who

expect nothing less than the extraordinary,

this refined residence features two

sumptuous bedrooms, two marble-clad

bathrooms, and a stylish living room

complete with a fireplace.

Whether dining privately with loved ones,

enjoying a quiet moment with a book, or

tending to work at the sleek writing desk,

every detail of the suite supports both

leisure and lifestyle. Transitions from

relaxed mornings to refined evenings feel

effortless in this well-appointed space.

A dedicated team attends to every need,

from complimentary laundry and ironing

to making your wardrobe evening-ready

for a night fit for royalty.

The Owner?s Suite also includes exclusive

limousine service, king-size beds with fine

cotton linens, a height-adjustable dining

and coffee table, a minibar and espresso

machine, and a French balcony from

which to admire the ever-changing

Danube.

FIN E DIN IN G

Dining aboard the Riverside Mozart is a

refined experience that reflects the very

essence of luxury river cruising ? where

regional inspiration, seasonal ingredients,

and culinary artistry converge.

Under the guidance of Executive Chef

Johannes Bar, each dish is thoughtfully

crafted to reflect the cultural tapestry of

the journey, with daily menus that evolve as

the ship sails through the heart of Europe.

115

The result for us was an ever-changing

celebration of plant-based dishes? from

modern interpretations of Habsburg

classics to refined Italian pastas and

delicately composed Spanish tapas.

Guests are invited to choose from four

distinct dining venues, each offering its

own ambiance and culinary perspective.

Waterside, the ship?s elegant main

restaurant, presents an à la carte dinner

service with menus that change nightly

and are influenced by the season and

region. Each dish is paired with carefully

selected regional wines, ensuring a

harmony of flavour and place.

For a more casual experience,

M arketplace offers a generous buffet

breakfast complete with two

chef-attended hot stations serving custom

waffles, pancakes, avocado toast,

scrambles, and grilled vegetables. Early

risers are welcomed by a charming coffee

bar located beside the concierge,

opening at 6:0 0 a.m. with fresh pastries,

fruits, and plump Medjool dates.

Midday brings variety. Guests may opt for

the full buffet at Marketplace or savour a

relaxed lunch at Blue Bar & Grill, located

at the ship?s stern, where panoramic views

accompany dishes such as gourmet

burgers, artisanal wraps, crisp salads, and

freshly prepared pastas. On favourable

days, the culinary team hosts a

picturesque outdoor barbecue on the top

deck beneath canvas canopies, where

guests dine al fresco as the river

landscape gently drifts by. A

charcuterie-style salad bar, grilled

specialities, and an elegant array of

desserts complete this leisurely,

sun-drenched affair.

For those seeking a dining experience

beyond the five-star standard of the

Riverside Mozart, The Vintage Room

offers an intimate and elevated culinary

journey. Designed for just 12 guests, this

private space exudes exclusivity, with its

velvety green armchairs, rich wood

accents, and curated artwork creating a

refined, inviting atmosphere.

On select evenings, the ship?s chefs craft

an exquisite tasting menu, each course

paired with exceptional wines chosen by

the Head Sommelier. While the cuisine is

remarkable, it is the wine that sets the

tone for the evening? elegant, expressive,

and impeccably matched to the moment.

The Vintage Room is more than a meal; it

is an occasion. After dinner, guests are

invited to continue their evening at the

Palm Court, where the warm glow of

conversation pairs perfectly with a

nightcap and live piano music performed

on a black Bösendorfer grand. With the

notes of a M ozart sonata drifting through

the air, it is the perfect conclusion to a

truly unforgettable day onboard.

121

SPA & FITN ESS

Wellness is an integral part of life

onboard the Riverside Mozart, offering

guests a harmonious balance of

fitness, relaxation, and personal care.

Far from returning home feeling

sluggish, guests are encouraged to stay

active and indulge in restorative

moments throughout their journey.

The indoor pool, featuring a

counter- current system, invites guests

to swim uninterrupted laps, while the

adjacent Jacuzzi offers a serene

space to unwind.

An outdoor track on Deck 3 is ideal

for walking or jogging with scenic river

views. For a more structured workout,

the fitness centre includes

state-of-the-art Technogym

equipment, free weights, and mats for

a complete training session.

After a day of activity or exploration,

guests can retreat to separate spa

areas for men and women, each with a

Finnish sauna and steam bath to

promote relaxation and rejuvenation.

The spa also offers a range of

therapeutic massages, including

sports and aromatherapy, as well as

customized facials using luxury

N atura Bissé products. For finishing

touches, an onboard hairdresser is

available for expert styling before

dinner or an evening event.

Whether maintaining a routine or

embracing a new one, The Mozart

ensures every guest feels their best

throughout the voyage. An elevator

connects all guest-accessible floors of

the ship, except for the top deck.

123

SHORE EXCURSION S

Excursions on the Riverside Mozart offer

travellers direct access to Europe?s cultural

treasures. Unlike ocean cruises, which

often dock far from key destinations, river

cruises invite guests to explore historic

cities and charming towns the moment

they disembark. Guided tours, tastings,

and immersive activities bring each

region to life.

In Budapest, stroll along Andrássy

Boulevard or explore the Parliament

and Opera House. In Bratislava, tour the

Old Tow n or join a wine tasting. Tulln

offers lush gardens and medieval charm,

while the Wachau Valley enchants with

sunset views of Dürnstein Castle and

M elk Abbey? elevated further by an

exclusive helicopter experience for

Connoisseur Collection guests.

Vienna dazzles with imperial palaces,

classical music, and the famed

Sachertorte at Café Demel. Beyond the

city, Schönbrunn Palace awaits,

alongside leisure at the Prater?s vintage

Ferris wheel. In Esztergom, admire the

grandeur of Hungary?s largest basilica

and explore the royal Old Tow n.

Excursions vary with the seasons, guest

interests, and local events. This fluidity

mirrors the nature of the Danube

itself? ever-shifting, always revealing

something new.

125

Excursions along a river cruise are

wonderfully fluid, much like the Danube

itself. They shift with the seasons, local

events, and even the interests of each

sailing?s guests, creating a dynamic and

ever-evolving itinerary.

No two cruises are exactly the

same? what is offered on one voyage may

differ on the next, ensuring a sense of

spontaneity and discovery.

This flexibility allows for authentic

experiences that reflect the rhythms of

local life and the natural flow of the river,

making each journey truly unique.

IN DUSTRY HON OURS

In just two years, Riverside Luxury Cruises

has emerged as a leader in the world of

refined river travel.

With accolades that include being named

one of the top 10 best river cruise lines in

Travel + Leisure?s 20 24 World?s Best

Aw ards, honoured as Best Luxury Cruise

Line in Europe by the Luxury Lifestyle

Aw ards, and recognized for Best Dining

Choice Aw ards for two consecutive years,

Riverside continues to set a new standard

in luxury cruising.

These prestigious awards affirm the

brand?s unwavering commitment to

excellence, innovation, and guest

experience at every turn.

127

A JOURN EY WORTH TAKIN G

River cruising aboard the Riverside Mozart

offers more than a mode of travel? it

presents a new lens through which to

experience Europe. It is a journey defined

not by haste, but by presence; where luxury

lies in the details, time unfolds gracefully,

and the river itself becomes a companion.

For those seeking more than a

destination? for those who value depth

over pace, connection over crowds, and

elegance over excess? this is an invitation

to rediscover travel. Refined, enriching,

and profoundly personal, river cruising

reawakens a sense of wonder with every

gentle bend of the Danube.

VIA JUR WINERY | Riverside Lux ury Cruises

?Properties shall perish, wine

shall be drunk, but love, love will

not wither.?

? Katarína Pálffy (1542?1616)

On a shore excursion from

Riverside Luxury Cruise Lines

?The M ozart,' we found

ourselves spending an

unforgettable afternoon in

Slovakia. The itinerary included

a stop in the charming royal

town of Svätý Jur? home to

VIAJUR Winery, a boutique

estate where history,

craftsmanship, and modern

winemaking converge.

In a boutique winery tucked into

the historic Pálffy M anor,

VIAJUR respectfully carries on a

legacy that began in 1580 .

It was during this time that

the estate?s former owner,

Katarína Pálffy, pioneered

winemaking in the region with

bold determination. Under her

guidance, the vineyards

flourished like never before.

V

Today, her resilient spirit is

etched into every barrel and

bottle. VIAJUR has breathed

new life into the centuries-old

cellars, crafting wines that

honour tradition while

embracing innovation.

At the helm of VIAJUR is

Tomá? Dilong: a winemaker

whose journey began far from

the iconic vineyards of Svätý Jur.

Raised in Orava? a northern

Slovak region with no viticultural

tradition? Tomá? first explored

fermentation through childhood

afternoons spent helping his

grandfather make currant and

raspberry wines. Though his

origins were modest, his path

was anything but.

After completing grammar

school and studies in accordion

at a music conservatory, Tomá??s

life took a turn when he earned

a scholarship to study oenology

in N ew Zealand.

141

THREE KEY ELEM EN TS

Tomá? immersed himself in one of the world?s

most progressive wine scenes. For nine years, he

learned the craft from the ground up, gaining

experience in both vineyard work and cellar

operations. The intensity and innovation of the

New Zealand wine industry shaped his

philosophy: that wine is a living dialogue

between land, climate, and human touch.

Upon returning to Slovakia, Tomá? brought this

global perspective home, eventually taking the

lead at VIAJUR Winery. Nestled within the

historical walls of the Pálffy Manor, he now

directs the estate?s revival with a modern vision.

At VIAJUR, Tomá? merges tradition with science,

championing low - histamine, vegan w ines that

remain deeply expressive of their terroir.

Under his leadership, the winery produces

approximately 120 ,0 0 0 bottles annually,

crafted using sustainable, organic methods

and state- of- the- art technology.

Tomá? is especially passionate about varietals

like Jurassic Riesling, Cabernet Franc, and the

native Dunaj, all of which thrive in the unique

soils and microclimates of the Little Carpathian

region. His commitment to biodiversity, purity,

and thoughtful winemaking is a tribute to the

land and to the legacy of Katarína Pálffy, who

first defined Svätý Jur as a wine destination

centuries ago.

For Tomá?, winemaking is more than a

profession. It is an ever-evolving craft, a cultural

inheritance, and a way to share Slovakia?s

soul? one glass at a time.

?Wine has always returned the energy I put into

it, many times over,? says Tomá?.

VIN EYARDS WITH SOUL

VIAJUR?s five hectares of vineyards sweep

across sun-drenched terraces above Svätý Jur,

with southern and southwestern exposures

ensuring optimal sun and cool night breezes.

The sandy-granite soils are perfect for Riesling,

the estate?s signature grape. The resulting

wines? Riesling Liebling and Riesling

Jurský? are radiant expressions of the land.

Vegan, low-histamine, and crafted with

elegance, each sip speaks of place, passion,

and purity.

CELLARS OF CHARACTER

VIAJUR?s wine production is divided into three

cellars, each offering a distinct charm.

The Tank Cellar retains its original 16th-century

brick vaults but now gleams with stainless steel

tanks and high-tech temperature controls. Here,

precise fermentation meets historical reverence.

In the Sect Cellar, sparkling wines are crafted

using the traditional champagne method. From

riddling racks to long bottle aging, this space is

where patience and elegance converge. The

oldest of the cellars, it hums quietly with

centuries of effervescence.

The Barrel Cellar is a sensory haven. Aromas

of oak and acacia mingle with the earthy scent

of the historic well, which naturally regulates

humidity. Barrels of various sizes cradle the

wines as they evolve. A touch of magic? The

cellar also doubles as a tasting room with a film

presentation, The Four Seasons, that elevates

your sipping experience.

143

BEYON D THE GLASS

But VIAJUR is more than a winery? it is a

lifestyle destination. Stay in the Pálffy Manor

House, where four unique apartments await.

Whether you choose the historical suites

named after Katarína Pálffy and her lovers,

or opt for the sleek Imperial Suite, expect

luxury layered with Slovak charm.

Complete the exquisite experience at

ARTE Restaurant, where Head Chef

Jirka Zají?ek crafts imaginative dishes using

fresh, local ingredients. His playful, modern

takes on familiar flavours redefine vineyard

dining.

A PLACE TO RETURN

VIAJUR is not just a winery. It is a love letter to

the past, a nod to the future, and an

experience that lingers long after the last

glass is poured. Come for the wine. Stay for

the story. Return for the feeling.

C DROOTED IN PASSION

In the quiet Slovak village of

?enkvíce, a winery is making

waves for all the right reasons.

Carpate Diem Winery is not just

crafting wines? it is creating an

experience that is as pure as it

is pleasurable. Known for its

organic, histamine- free

offerings, Carpate Diem is

quickly becoming a name

whispered reverently among

in-the-know wine lovers across

Europe.

Established in 20 12 by the Fitz

family, this boutique winery

reflects a modern, conscious

approach to viticulture without

ever compromising on tradition

or taste. Every bottle tells a

story of the land, the season,

and the people behind the

label.

The Fitz family?s journey into

winemaking began much like

many great love stories: quietly,

passionately, and with deep

personal meaning. Their first

vintages were crafted purely for

pleasure, shared among friends

in a modest stone cellar in a

part of ?enkvíce known as

Kozare.

By 20 13, a vineyard was planted

just above the cellar, and the

intimate tastings became more

frequent? and more in demand.

Today, that very space

continues to host guided

tastings, offering a glimpse into

the winery?s soulful beginnings.

149

FROM CELLAR TO M ODERN ITY

As interest in their wines grew, so too did the

need for space. In 20 16, the Fitz family made a

decisive move by acquiring the historic N UPOD

fruit and vegetable warehouses? an industrial

complex designed by celebrated architect

Emil Bellu?.

They began transforming it into a sophisticated

winery equipped with modern technology,

elegant tasting rooms, and a sleek wine shop.

The doors officially opened in 20 20 , marking a

new chapter in the Carpate Diem story? one

where innovation and tradition coexist

beautifully.

A SEN SE OF PLACE

Carpate Diem cultivates 13 hectares of

vineyards in the heart of the M alokarpatská

wine region, specifically around ?enkvíce and

the town of M odra. These vineyards are

managed through integrated protection

methods, with zero tolerance for herbicides,

insecticides, or harmful chemicals. Instead,

natural treatments from Bioka are used to

support the vines?health.

The vineyards?varied altitudes and soils lend

remarkable complexity to the wines. A highlight

came in 20 18, when the winery celebrated its

first harvest from the ?nauda locality in

Modra? 4.6 hectares of promise realized in

every glass.

ORGAN IC BY N ATURE

Although Carpate Diem formally entered the

EU?s organic certification process in January

20 21, their methods have always been rooted in

sustainable, organic principles.

For the Fitz family, organic is not a marketing

strategy? it is simply the right way to treat the

land.

Currently in the final stages of the three-year

certification process, Carpate Diem?s wines will

soon carry the official EU organic symbol. Until

then, their commitment speaks for itself through

careful vineyard management, hand-harvesting,

and minimal intervention in the cellar.

THE HISTAM IN E- FREE DIFFEREN CE

Where Carpate Diem truly stands apart is in its

natural production of wines with extremely low

histamine levels. This discovery was made not

by design, but by testing? an organic outcome

of their pure winemaking philosophy. Certified

laboratory analysis confirmed that their wines

are safe even for individuals with histamine

intolerance (HIT).

With histamine values under 0 .5 mg/ l in most

bottles, these wines open the door for

enjoyment to those who may have previously

avoided wine altogether. As winemaker and

technologist Peter Fitz explains, ?It is just

normal wine? elegant, expressive, and gentle

on the body.?

M ETICULOUS FROM VIN E TO GLASS

The process at Carpate Diem is intentional at

every stage. Grapes are hand-selected and

cooled immediately upon harvest to preserve

freshness. The must is never sulphurized;

instead, it is clarified using natural grape

tannins and temperature control.

Fermentation is carefully monitored and halted

when necessary via cross-flow filtration? never

with additives. Wines are matured in stainless

steel tanks under nitrogen, then bottled in a

sterile environment to maintain purity.

Stabilization is done on a wine-by-wine basis,

with only minimal sulphur dioxide used. For

fining, the winery uses bentonite clay,

no synthetic agents, no shortcuts.

151

TASTES THAT IN SPIRE

Each wine from Carpate Diem is a thoughtful

reflection of clarity, balance, and origin? an

authentic expression of Slovakia?s Little

Carpathians. These wines are not only

rooted in tradition, but also crafted with a

modern sensibility that makes them

effortlessly enjoyable for today?s discerning

drinker.

From the first sip, they offer purity and

finesse, speaking with quiet confidence

about their provenance and the meticulous

care behind their creation.

Among the current lineup, Devinenchants

with floral aromas, white peach, and hints of

acacia blossom, while M oravian N utmeg

brings a lightly spiced, aromatic character

that makes it an ideal partner at the table.

Grüner Veltliner offers a textbook freshness

and gentle peppery edge, perfect for

purists. For something more expressive,

Traminer Brunner delivers exotic layers of

lychee, rose, and ginger. Donauriesling

stands out with its razor-sharp acidity and

citrus precision, while Cuvée Barrel offers a

richer, oak-aged complexity. Rounding out

the collection is the charming M uller

Thurgau, a fruit-forward, easygoing

favourite that is both refreshing and

approachable.

M ORE THAN A WIN ERY

At its heart, Carpate Diem is a philosophy: to

seize the day, enjoy life, and raise a glass to

good health. With their uncompromising

approach to organic farming, transparent

winemaking, and inclusivity for those with

histamine intolerance, this family-run winery

is shaping wine in Central Europe.

For the discerning sipper, the mindful

imbiber, and the wine lover in search of

something genuinely new? Carpate Diem is

more than worth the journey.

A M EM ORABLE EXCURSION

This unforgettable discovery of Carpate

Diem Winery was part of an enriching shore

excursion with Riverside Luxury Cruises

aboard ' The M ozart.' Nestled within a

curated itinerary of culture, cuisine, and

refined experiences, our visit to this

family-run gem in ?enkvíce offered a

meaningful connection to the land, the

people, and the pure pleasure of truly

conscious winemaking.

As we sipped histamine-free Grüner Veltliner

among the vines and listened to Peter Fitz

speak passionately about his craft, it

became clear? this was not just a wine

tasting, but a rare invitation into the

heart of Slovak viticulture.

A M HOF 8 Private M ember's Club | Vienna, A ustria

A

H

8

Tucked behind the time-worn façade of

Vienna?s oldest building on the Am Hof

square, a new chapter in Viennese

sophistication has been written. Am Hof 8 is

not merely a private members?club? it is a

reverent restoration of elegance, a tribute

to the past, and a living, breathing

destination for the discerning few.

For members of Vancouver Club (or any of

its reciprocal affiliates) with a passion for

culture, history, and curated luxury, this is

more than a space? it is an experience

worth crossing continents for.

HISTORIC ADDRESS REIM AGIN ED

Am Hof 8 has stood proudly at the heart

of Vienna since 150 8. Known in the past

as the ?High House? and later as the

?N arrow House,? the building was? and still

is? a striking figure among the baroque and

renaissance façades of this storied square.

"When London?s oldest gentlemen?s club was

founded in 1693," remarks Founder

Johannes Kattus, "the narrow building that

is Am Hof 8 had already been firmly

established in the center of Vienna for

almost 20 0 years."

157

While London set the tone for private

club culture, Vienna had the venue

long before the idea was fashionable.

"The age-old problem of the chicken

and the egg? Which Came First? In

the case of Am Hof 8, I can give you a

clear answer,? Kattus says. ?It was not

so much the idea of a members?club,

but rather the house itself that existed

first."

VISION BEHIN D THE REVIVAL

Inspired by his time in England, Kattus

nurtured a fascination with members?

clubs? havens of intellect, civility,

and quiet grandeur.

?I wondered why there was nothing

comparable in Vienna,? he says. ?With

the Kattus House at Am Hof 8, the

idea finally became feasible, and

Vienna was to get its first real

members?club based on the London

model.?

But this is no clone of the

gentlemen-only salons of the past.

Am Hof 8 is gender- inclusive, ageless

in spirit, and infused with

contemporary character.

?There should be no doubt that Am

Hof 8 will be a club for him and her,

for young and old,? Kattus affirms.

His ambition? To create a space

where conversation, culture, and

curiosity thrive among those who

appreciate the finer points of living

well.

A CLUB CARVED FROM TIM E

The building's legacy is layered? nine

floors that trace back through

imperial dynasties, market stalls, and

medieval fortifications. The entrance

at Tiefer Graben, a full two storeys

below Am Hof Square, leads guests

through castle w alls and even

remnants of Roman stonew ork.

?The house at Am Hof 8 has probably

been around for almost as long as the

human desire to exchange ideas with

like-minded people,? Kattus muses.

The club honours this legacy through

design and detail. Renaissance

elements remain intact, especially

the façade facing the square.

Every inch of Am Hof 8 has been

reimagined with a subtle yet

deliberate sense of heritage.

?It is with great pleasure that I am

able to showcase and present this

new chapter of this historic building,?

says Kattus.

A SAN CTUARY FOR THE CULTURED

Members of Am Hof 8 are granted

access to a remarkable set of

amenities that exude quiet luxury.

On the rooftop, beneath the original

gables, the lounge offers a

commanding view of St. Stephen?s

Cathedral? a serene place to sip a

cocktail or light a cigar. The rooftop

bar is private and atmospheric, ideal

for unwinding or hosting intimate

events.

Inside, the club flows between

elegant zones tailored for the varied

rhythms of refined life. The private

dining rooms are discreet yet

welcoming, perfect for business

lunches or celebratory dinners.

The main restaurant, grounded in

Austrian traditions with international

accents, delivers both spontaneous

charm and elevated culinary artistry.

At the Birdie Bar on the ground floor,

the mood is casual and unpretentious.

On the top floor, by a roaring

fireplace, the pace slows, and

indulgence becomes ritual in the

cigar lounge.

159

WORK, PLAY, IN DULGE

For those blending business with pleasure,

Am Hof 8 offers open workspaces and

meeting rooms, all equipped with modern

technology and cloaked in quiet elegance.

?The office is where you are,? the club

declares, offering members the freedom to be

productive without compromising atmosphere.

Below, in the cellar?s vaulted depths, Hanni?s

Private Club hosts curated live acts and

celebratory gatherings? an exclusive retreat

within the retreat. An adjoining wine cellar

completes the experience, its shelves lined

with bottles chosen to please every palate.

Whether sparkling or still, Austrian or

international, each pour speaks to the club?s

ethos of connoisseurship without ostentation.

A BOUTIQUE REFUGE

For international guests and travelling

members, Am Hof 8 includes a limited number

of exclusive boutique rooms. These are

spaces for recalibration, for disconnecting

from the bustle of the city while remaining

immersed in its cultural heart.

VIEN N A?S IN VITATION TO VAN COUVER

To visit Am Hof 8 is to enter a hidden narrative

written in stone and spirit. It is not a space

defined by loud luxury, but rather by an

elegance that whispers. ?All good things take

time,? Kattus reminds us, and indeed, Am Hof 8

is not a place one simply drops into. It is a

club that rewards those who appreciate the

long view? the layering of history, the quiet

joy of conversation, and the enduring value of

belonging.

For those who appreciate substance, culture,

and timeless design, Am Hof 8 is a destination

worth discovering. Not just for what it offers,

but for the feeling it leaves behind. A sense of

having touched something rare, refined, and

quietly extraordinary.
