guided our analysis for the Project Name COMcheck Envelope

submission. This document outlines the foundational elements and

specific details utilized in our evaluation, ensuring transparency and

clarity in our approach.

Through a meticulous review of the provided drawings and

relevant documentation, we have tailored our analysis to reflect

the project's unique characteristics and compliance requirements

accurately. The following sections detail the assumptions made

throughout the compliance process.

We advise the stamping professional or architect of record to

review the requirements and inputs with the engineers for this

project to ensure that they sign off on the compliance choices and

indicate the locations on their plans.

The following information was used for

developing the COMCheck report.

• Provided Revit Model & Intake Form

details were used to establish code,

compliance method, and project

details.

• Performance Alternative was

established for Compliance Method.

• Building Characteristics and Features

were selected for more accurate

results.

The following information outlines key

assumptions made when reviewing the

envelope:

• Ceilings: Used the model to create

ceiling assemblies and insulation R-

Values.

• Ext. Wall: Leveraged the model to

define wall area, types, and cardinal

directions along with the drawings

to inform wall assemblies, stud

spacing, and insulation R-Values.

• Window: Established window types

with the model provided and used the

drawings for U-Factor and SHGC

values.

• Door: Defined door types and

materials with the model and drawings

• Garage Door: Defined garage door

area with the

model, polystyrene insulated door

cores were assumed.

• Floor: For concrete slab-on-grade,

typical perimeter insulation values and

depth were assumed.

Report Process

The .cxl file contains all data specifically used

to evaluate this building project. To be able

to verify the inputs in this report, the .cxl file

will need to be uploaded to the COMCheck

website/desktop app.

To upload, please open COMCheck, log in

with the user desired, and go to “My

Projects”. Once you click on that section,

you will have the option to choose the .cxl

file from your computer location and upload

it to the software. It is important to press

“save” after the upload, if not the project will

not be added to your projects list, and the

upload process will need to be repeated the

next time the file is open.

Once the file is open, all the inputs can be

reviewed & edited by section. In case of any

modification, we recommend pressing save

after you are done.

To check compliance, click the compliance

button at the top to run again, to verify it is

up to date. If everything is adequate and

correct, save the changes to the .cxl file and

generate the report. Under the user &

password section, the report button will

allow you to generate reports along with the

compliance checklist.
