Gunhild Thomson

My main photography work is a long-term project started in 2012: I document once a

year what happens to derelict sites in Birmingham and the Black Country by taking a

photo from exactly the same point of view.

As there often is no or hardly any change from one year to the next), I have decided to

only show the interesting years where change happens while sticking to regular

intervals, e.g. to 4- year intervals in “Ladywood Bridge”. This project is not finished, the

series are updated every few years.

More by chance, I came across interesting multiple reflections of the surrounding area in

the windows of cars last year.

Julie Derbyshire

Julie Derbyshire is a London based photographic artist with a research and process led

practice. Informed by art history and personal lived experience, her work explores

themes of fragility, transience and the universality of our shared human condition.

Derbyshire employs the medium of photography as the final distillation of a creative

process that encompasses acts of fabrication, manipulation and disruption. She

combines the allure of beauty with an undercurrent of disquiet and invites the viewer to

reflect and to question what lies beyond the image.

Derbyshire holds an MA Photography from the London College of Communication

(University of the Arts London). She exhibits regularly in the UK and internationally and

her work is held in private collections. She is the recipient of a number of awards

Richard Eveleigh

UK based artist, Richard Eveleigh, has exhibited work across the United Kingdom,

Europe and America. He held his first solo exhibition in Salisbury at the Oxfam Art

Gallery and has supported many charities through the sale of his work. In London he has

shown at the Truman Brewery, The Signal Gallery, at South Kensington as part of "Art

Below" and, most recently, at the Mall Galleries with the SGFA. Richard regularly

exhibits work at Ad Lib Gallery in Wimbledon Village and Artly Mix in São Paulo.

My art explores the theme of "duality". My photographic pieces centre on the English

countryside and its contrasting nature through the seasons. In my work, I make use of

changing light to evoke disparate feelings of warm nostalgia and cold emptiness. There

are often hints of human presence in my work or deep shadows cast by the Sun.

Saeid Zabeti-Targhi

My name is Saeid Zabeti-Targhi I am a multidisciplinary artist I primarily make

paintings/sculptures/poetry and Photography.

The images captured for Photo X 3 were taken on the river Thames. I went on many

slow walks absorbing the poetic materiality of its environment the history contained

within the discarded objects found on its banks and the structures that contained and

covered it.

It was on one of these journeys I came across two juvenile foxes playing and scavenging

for scraps below Battersea bridge. I sat quietly watching them as they ran around free of

the vigilance they are normally accustomed to on the roads and streets of London. They

were inquisitive about my presence as we were the only ones on the bank at that time.

I have previously sat and watched Heron’s hunting and been interested in the tension in

their slow movements and body language. This Heron went in and out of the focus of

hunting before eventually flying across to a better vantage point.

Xenia Chetrar

Xenia Chetrar is a visual artist and photographer whose work explores memory, identity,

and the ephemeral nature of existence. Working primarily with film, she embraces the

unpredictability of analog processes to evoke intimacy and a sense of nostalgia. The

tactile presence and warmth of film allow her to create images that feel timeless and

personal. Her photographs often play with light and shadow, drawing the viewer into

quiet, layered moments that blur the line between documentation and reverie.

Her work has been featured in various personal and collective projects, emphasising the

tactile and artistic potential of traditional photographic methods. Beyond her personal

practice, she actively advocates for film photography by mentoring emerging

photographers and leading an art collective that fosters creative collaboration within the

medium.

Yoichiro Sakai

Yoichiro Sakai is awarded photographer of landscapes and flight’s scene, based in Tokyo

Japan.

Now my works are exhibited in the gallery, cafe, hotel and art fair’s booth in the mainly

international cities. Especially in this year, I was welcome just 10years after the first

exhibition overseas where in London, so I was thinking to back to there. I’ll exhibit in

Chelsea old town hall in September too.

I have a strong passion for exploring nature and thinking the relationship between nature

and human from the lens of my favorite camera. And I’m curious about the airplane, so

I'm aiming for the best chance of flight’s scene near the air route.

By the way, my works didn’t edit by digital tool because I was shooting a photo just in the

best moment within my idea.
