Seed 

Potent essential oils come from plant 

species that have been authenticated 

by Young Living and industry experts 

through scientific research, field study, 

university partnerships, and on-site

1. Clean Seeds 

Young Living verifies the authenticity 

of the seeds to ensure that only 

non-GMO (Genetically Modified 

Organism) seeds are used. We only 

use naturally propagated species of 

seeds in our fields. 

2. Farming 

Young Living founder, D. Gary Young, 

was raised on a farm in rural Idaho. 

He believed that the farmers’ love for 

their craft was reflected in the final 

product. This respect for the farmers’ 

stewardship of the land continues in 

Young Living’s culture today. 

3. Natural Distillation 

Young Living only uses water or 

pressure to distill the oils. While this 

is not the least expensive extraction 

method, it ensures higher quality. 

Often, harsh chemicals are used to 

extract oil to save on cost. However, 

we proudly stand behind every 

investment necessary to ensure 

our superior quality. 

4. Testing 

Our quality control team uses a 

battery of physical, chemical, and 

microbiological scientific tests to 

measure the exact components and 

properties of our essential oils. Each 

test is repeated numerous times 

during the quality process. Testing 

begins at our farms and continues 

all the way through the final stages 

prior to shipment. 

5. Bottling 

To prevent the possibility of 

contamination, Young Living oils 

only touch the glass or stainless 

steel from distillation to the finished 

bottled product. The color of our 

glass bottles protects against 

the deteriorating effects of 

sunlight, and the 

chemical-resistant BPA-free 

droppers help prevent 

oxidization. 

Distill 

Combining ancient and modern 

techniques, Young Living’s 

low-pressure steam distillation 

process ensures that the beneficial 

plant compounds in each batch of 

essential oil remain uncompromised. 

This step is completed at just the 

right time to ensure all beneficial 

constituents are present to maximize 

the quality of the oil. Additionally, 

we use tree resin hydrodistillation 

for select oils and cold pressing 

techniques for most of our citrus 

essential oils. 

Test 

Young Living never accepts 

diluted, cut, or adulterated 

essential oils. To guarantee 

consistent quality, our essential 

oils are tested in our own 

internal labs, as well as in 

third-party facilities, to ensure 

that they meet demanding 

specifications, exceed 

international standards, and 

contain the optimal levels of

to Use Essential Oils 

Essential oils are concentrated plant extracts that are lovingly 

harvested from farm-grown and wildcrafted plants through 

careful steam distillation, cold pressing, or resin tapping. 

The result is pure essential oils that are far more powerful than the 

botanicals from which they were extracted. We offer hundreds of 

single oils, blends, and other oil-infused products that contain 

the optimal levels of specific, naturally occurring constituents 

to maximize their flawless potency. Whether you’re using oils to 

create a toxin-free home or for personal care, you’ll discover that 

every aspect of your daily life can benefit from incorporating 

these pure, powerful essential oils. 

Aromatically 

Use essential oils aromatically to uplift the spirit. 

• Rub 2-3 drops of essential oil between 

your palms and breathe in deeply. 

• Use your favorite essential oils in our diffusers. 

Topically 

Many essential oils are safe and beneficial 

to use directly on the skin. 

• Place 2-3 drops of essential oil directly 

on the desired area and massage. 

Repeat as desired. Always follow the label’s 

dilution instructions. 

Ingesting as flavoring 

• Add 1-2 drops of Plus oil to a glass of water, 

NingXia Red®, juice yogurt, a sweetener of 

choice, or plant-based milk. 

• Add 1-2 drops of Plus oil (to taste) to meals 

when cooking. 

CAUTION: Essential oils are very potent and may be irritating to the skin. If irritation occurs, apply Young Living’s 

V-6 TM Vegetable Oil Complex or any pure plant-based oil to the area to dilute. Citrus essential oils and blends may 

cause photosensitivity. Avoid direct sunlight or UV rays for up to 48 hours after applying them.

Clear the air and calm your mind with the light, floral 

aroma of Lavender essential oil. It is widely known as one of 

the most versatile essential oils, and is highly regarded for 

skin and beauty applications.

Remover Pads 

Gently cleans the skin leaving 

you feeling refreshed. 

Ingredients: 

• 7 drops Lavender 

• 1/2 cup distilled water 

• 1 tsp castile soap 

• 1 tsp witch hazel 

• 1 tsp coconut oil 

• Round cotton pads 

• 120 ml airtight glass 

container 

Directions: 

1. Pour all the ingredients into 

the glass container. 

3. Put the lid on the container 

and shake well. 

4. Take off the lid and insert the 

cotton pads into the top of the 

jar or until they stop absorbing 

liquid. 

5. To use, remove one wipe 

and squeeze out excess liquid. 

Gently wipe over face until 

makeup is removed. Store with 

the lid tightly screwed.

Keep your kitchen spotlessly clean and fresh. 

Ingredients: 

• 20 drops Thieves 

• 20 drops Lemon 

• 1 tsp castile soap 

• 1 tbsp baking soda 

• 1 cup vinegar 

• 2 cups distilled water 

• 500 ml glass spray bottle 

Directions: 

1. Mix all the ingredients in the 

spray bottle. Shake to blend. 

2. Shake before each use. Spray 

liberally on the surface and let 

sit for 5 minutes.

Formulated by Gary Young, R.C. is a powerful blend of Cypress, 

Spruce, and three types of Eucalyptus oils. Its robust scent helps 

create a refreshing and invigorating breathing experience.

R.C. Chest Rub 

Have a clearer breathing experience 

with a cooling and soothing chest rub. 

Ingredients: 

• 60 drops R.C. 

• 2 tbsp beeswax 

• ½ cup solid coconut oil 

• 120 ml tin or jar 

Directions: 

1. Melt the beeswax and coconut oil together. 

2. Remove from heat and drop in the R.C. 

essential oil blend. Stir well. 

3. Carefully pour everything into the jar. 

Let it cool before using it. 

4. Use as needed by rubbing a quarter-sized 

amount on the chest and/or upper back. 

Reapply frequently.

• 4 cups unsweetened almond,

Create your own healthy, yummy treats! 

NingXia Red Shot 

Peppermint Brownies 

Ingredients: 

• 2 drops Peppermint Plus 

• 1 cup oats 

• ⅓ cup cacao powder 

• ½ tsp baking soda 

• ¼ tsp salt 

• ¼ cup honey 

• 2 large eggs, room temperature 

• 3 tbsp coconut oil, melted 

• 1 tsp vanilla extract 

• ¼ cup plus 2 tbsp dark chocolate chips 

for mixing and topping 

Ingredients: 

• 30 to 60 ml NingXia Red 

• 1 drop Lemon Plus 

Directions: 

1. In a glass mix together NingXia Red 

and Lemon Plus. 

2. Add ice, stir, and enjoy! 

Directions: 

1. Place eggs on the counter and allow them to reach room 

temperature. Preheat oven to 176° C. 

2. Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper. 

If you are having trouble getting the paper to stick in place, 

lightly grease the pan and set the parchment on top. 

3. In a food processor or blender, add oats, cacao powder, 

baking soda, and salt. Blend until the oats turn into a fine 

flour-like texture. 

4. In a separate dish, melt coconut oil in the microwave 

or on the stove. Allow to cool but not harden. 

5. Add room-temperature eggs, honey, coconut oil, vanilla 

extract, and Peppermint Plus to the food processor and 

process until everything is well combined. Use a rubber 

spatula to scrape down the edges in between pulsing, 

if needed. You will be left with a thick batter. 

6. Once all of the ingredients are fully incorporated, 

add ¼ cup of chocolate chips or more if you enjoy 

a stronger chocolate flavor. Stir into the batter. 

7. Pour the batter into the prepared dish, then use the 

spatula to smooth the batter evenly into the pan. 

Top with extra chocolate chips. 

8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges of the 

brownies look cooked through and a toothpick 

comes out clean when inserted in the center. 

9. Let the brownies cool, then cut and serve. 

Sweet Honey Loving 

Lemon Marinade 

Ingredients: 


• ¼ cup olive oil 

• ¼ cup honey 

• 3 tbsp soy sauce 

• 2 lemons, juiced 

• 3 garlic cloves, minced 

• Your choice of protein (pork, chicken, or beef) 

Directions: 

1. In a glass bowl or baking pan, place 

the protein and pour over the rest of 

the ingredients. 

2. Cover and refrigerate for at least 

1 to 4 hours or overnight before grilling. 

3. Serve this dish with rice or taco style with 

your favorite toppings. For an extra kick, 

add as much chili sauce or flakes as your 

mouth can handle to the marinade.

Shoe Deodorizing

• ½ cup cornstarch

1. Mix together all the ingredients 

in a bowl and mix thoroughly. 

2. Pour everything into a lidded

3. To use, place a few spoonfuls in 

a clean sock and tie off the end.
