Beyond The Structure

Architectural Photography Exhibition

An exciting showcase of over 15 photographic works by talented artists from the UK and

beyond. Presented by ArtGeminiPrize in collaboration with Simar Joinery, this exhibition

coincides with the London Festival of Architecture(LFA) and celebrates international

contemporary architectural photography, featuring both emerging and established

photographers.

Since its founding in 2012 by fine art enthusiast and dealer Jimmy Lek, the ArtGeminiPrize has

attracted over 6,500 entries from 44 countries and awarded more than £70,000 in prizes

Sokari Higgwe

Sokari is a photographer, based in the UK whose work is driven by his passion for architecture,

art, design & the human form. Having initially graduated with a bachelor’s degree in

philosophy and later an MSC in business information Technology.

He worked in investment banking in the City of London for several years before embarking on

an artistic career with his first solo exhibition in 2013, a significant milestone that showcased

his deep understanding of visual storytelling. His pivot from finance to working in the arts full

time, marks a pursuit of passion as he embraced his photography skills to explore and capture

the interplay of light, texture, and shapes in architecture, as well as the human form.

Today, Sokari's artistic vision finds expression not only through his photography but also

through his role as the founder of the London Lighthouse Gallery & Studio in East London. The

gallery has hosted ground-breaking exhibitions by rising stars of the art world and established

artists from around the world.

Jesus Suarez

Jesus Suarez is a fine art photographer based in London. He is also offering photography

tours to share his creativity and passion by capturing the dynamic street life with its

breathtaking architecture and iconic landmarks. His inspiration stems from the visual

language of signs and symbols, as he delves into history, myths, and personal

experiences to continually enrich his creative vision.

Jesus sees photography not only as a means of artistic expression but also as a

therapeutic outlet, creating connections with life experiences and promoting a

foundation for a well-balanced mindset.

Chiara Gerevasi

Italian wedding and fine art photographer based in Copenhagen, Denmark. She is the

winner of the ArtGeminiPrize2013 Photography Prize.ONO was taken at the Henning

Larsen building and was inaugurated in 1996 for the Glyptotek’s collection of modern

painting in Copenhagen. The building itself is covered with marble stucco, making the

surface as gleamingly smooth as the Carrara marble of the staircase. The most

prominent decorative element comes from the bars of the glass roof, which on sunny

days cast shadows on the walls of the stairwell.

Ellen Jantzen

Born in St. Louis Missouri, USA and graduated with a degree from FIDM, LA in 1992.

Ellen has been creating works that bridge the world of prints, photography and collage. Her

JAYKOE

JAYKOE (Irish/British) is an artist based in London working across disciplines

including installation, sculpture, drawing, painting, and video. Prior to graduating

from The London Metropolitan University MA Fine Art programme in 2012, with

Distinction, he travelled for one year around the world connecting over thirty cities.

After graduating he developed a research travel project, Museum Road Trip, and

worked in various locations including Rome, New York, Singapore and Guayaquil. He

returned to London in 2017 and co-founded two curatorial projects, Switch and the

Peckham International Art Fair (PIAF).

His work has been exhibited in the UK and internationally including Metroland

Cultures, London (2025); Muralica, New York (2022); Rome Art Week (2018);

‘Filtered’ Lubomirov / Angus-Hughes Gallery, London (2017); Battersea Art Station,

Battersea Arts Centre, London (2015); ‘Artists Film’ British Film Institute, London and
