Please cancel your booking if your child

can no longer attend. This allows others

Aboriginal Storytelling Through Art

Join us for this special experience to

celebrate NAIDOC Week! Participate in a

practical workshop where the presenter

invites you to learn Aboriginal storytelling

art symbols. After copying and practising

the symbols, you will create and draw

your own story using the techniques you

have learned. This experience presents

Aboriginal art in a fun and unique way.

Let’s celebrate NAIDOC Week with

‘Aboriginal Infusion’, the perfect

introduction to Aboriginal and Torres Strait

Islander histories and cultures. Children

will develop an understanding of the rich

and ancient traditions of Australia’s first

inhabitants through a highly interactive and

engaging program, including aspects such

as Didgeridoo, Aboriginal Artefacts and

Storytelling.

Toothcare Storytime

Free Dental Service with Smile Squad

(9 -12 years)

Nunawading 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Smile Squad is a free Government funded

Dental Service to make dental checkups

available at community locations in

Victoria. This is an opportunity to access

dental services outside the usual clinic

environment in their special mobile checkup

station. A detailed report will be given

to all participants, and recommended

treatment. We will also include an oral

health education session as part of our

storytime including information about

healthy drinking, eating and brushing.
