Under the Same Moon
with Peter Mitchell
A powerful and moving author talk that brings to light
a rarely told chapter of Australia’s wartime history.
Under the Same Moon follows the gripping true
story of a group of Australian soldiers unexpectedly
stranded in the Middle East and diverted to Java—
just as it teeters on the edge of chaos. As these men
face the unknown, their families back home are left in
silence, grappling with fear and uncertainty. Through
deeply personal accounts, this book shines a light on
the courage, confusion, and quiet endurance of both
the soldiers and their loved ones—united by hope,
and the same moon hanging over them all.

DNA trends in family
history research

is changing the way we explore family history. Once

stories and offer a deeper understanding of identity.
This session looks at how DNA is transforming
