OVERVIEW
These SXS Supplementary Regulations are an extension of the Supplementary Regulations of the
Weston Beach Race 2025, together with Terms and Conditions of RHL Activities Ltd and must be
read in conjunction.
ELIGIBILITY
ADULT CLASSES
‣ Drivers must be over the age of16 at the 1 st January 2025
‣ Each Driver must hold a valid ACU Day Licence, which will be applied for at point of
application
MACHINE
‣ Production machines that retain the Manufacturer engine - without modification.
o Honda
o Can Am
o Polaris
o Yamaha
o CF Moto (Z Force Models ONLY)
‣ Fully functional four wheel drive system
‣ Engine Capacity – maximum 2000cc
‣ Machines designed or produced, as 4 seat variants are not permitted
PARTICIPANT NUMBERS
A minimum number of 15 applications must be received by the Organiser by midnight of the 12th
September 2025 for this part of the event to proceed.
In the event the minimum number of 15 is not reached, the Organiser shall refund all participants
who have applied within 24 hours of the deadline of the 12 th September 2025.
APPLICATION PROCESS

‣ All participants, must create a profile account with their photo
‣ Once profile account is created, one of the participants to proceed to the entry process
and go the SXS class, where you will carry out your online application

FEES AND PASSES
FEE
‣ Fee £310.00
‣ Day Licences to purchase during application process £20 x 2 £40.00
EVENT PASSES
Included within the fee
‣ 2 x Driver Passes
‣ 2 x Mechanic Passes
All passes will be eligible for entry into the event all weekend.
Passes must be worn at all times.
Mechanic Passes that are given to persons under the age of 18, will not be eligible for access to the
pits during racing. This is a strict Health & Safety Ruling.
TRAILER STORAGE AND CAMPING
TRAILER STORAGE
It is noted Participants will come with a Trailer and for those Participants that are planning to enjoy
the whole of the weekend, an area will be designated for these Trailers to be stored within the Parc
Ferme. The Trailers whilst under the eye of Security will remain there at the owners responsibility.
Space is limited within this area and RHL would need to be notified in advance of this
requirement.
This area is for the storage of the Trailer and associated machine that would be in situ on it, not
for Vehicles and overnight camping.
Any persons requesting the use of this facility, acknowledges the following:
‣ Trailer and machine to be ready to be placed in the area between the hours of 17:00 to
18:00 hours
‣ Participant will need to have their entry pass with them, to be shown at the entrance to
the Parc Ferme, where their vehicle will be allowed to enter to deposit the trailer
‣ Trailers once in situ will not be able to be removed until the Sunday of the event, after the
end of the last race, no sooner than 1 hour after racing, without exception
‣ Participants who deposit the Trailer and the associated machine will not be allowed to re
enter the Parc Ferme until ready to leave.

CAMPING
Participants have the opportunity to purchase onsite Camping at the rear of the Parc Ferme.
space is limited and will be on a first come first serve basis.
The
Applications for Camping will open on the 1 st September 2025. All participants at that point will be
notified of the link for application to apply for camping.

‣ Camping wristband The Passes issued will gain access to this area
‣ Additional Persons Must have an event Weekend pass and Camping Wristband
‣ Camping Passes £10.00
Camping is fully refundable if the SXS class does not proceed due to insufficient numbers.
REGISTRATION AND PITS
REGISTRATION
Registration is on the Friday of the event, at the Welcome Office located at the Royal Sands
entrance, please refer to the main Supplementary Regulations for operating times and location.
Please ensure you go to the correct window and have your confirmation documentation with you,
either digitally or printed.
PITS
Your Vehicle and Trailer will be allowed to drive on to the Beach and access the pits, where the
vehicle will be allowed to remain until 30 minutes after the end of the race.
To be allowed down on to the Beach and gain access to the Pits Area you will be required to show
your Confirmation and it is suggested a printed copy be placed in the windscreen for the ease of
identification.
There will only be one vehicle allowed per entry.
No person under the age of 18 is allowed to remain within the pits, once the SXS Class
commences.
Any person found to be not eligible to remain in the area, will be asked to leave by Pit Security no
later than 30 minutes prior to commencement of the SXS Class.
Please refer to the main Supplementary Regulations for Health and Safety requirements of the
Pits area.

TECHNICAL CONTROL
TIMING AND LOCATION
‣ Time 11:45 – 12:45 Friday 3 rd October 2025
‣ Location Pits, located on the Beach
Machine is to be parked on the Environmental Sheet, ready for inspection, along with all the
Safety Clothing and helmet. It is accepted Safety clothing, ie Race suite and Boots may
already be being worn, however the Race Suit must be accessible to see the EU Safety
number
TECHNICAL CONTROL 1
ENVIRONMENTAL – Environmental Sheet
The Environmental Mat must be composed of an absorbent upper part and an impermeable lower
part. It is compulsory to use an Environmental mat (or other effective and approved system) to
prevent sand and water contamination within the Pits/Work Area. For 2025 a Standard
motorsport ground sheet will be accepted, however this must have no visible tears or damage.
The Environmental Sheet is a compulsory part of the Participants Equipment and must be in situ
underneath the machine at the commencement of Technical Control. Technical Control Officers
will not proceed if the Environmental sheet is not in place and you will forfeit your entry, if you are
unable to produce this.
SAFETY - Goggles
These must be presented at Technical Control. The use of Tear Off lenses on goggles is NOT
PERMITTED.
SAFETY - Helmets
Your Helmet has to be physically inspected, which means a member of the RHL Technical Team
will have to handle the Helmet.
Helmets bearing the ACU Gold or Silver stamp, in good condition and properly fitted must be worn
by all Competitors.
FIA 8859-2024 & Snell Helmets will be accepted, in good condition and will pass through
inspection.
You will be asked to present the Helmet to the Technical Inspector, for them to carry out
inspection of the Helmet.
In line with the permitting body Sporting Code any Helmet that fails Technical Control will be
examined to see if the appropriate ACU Helmet sticker can be issued. If this is the case the
Competitor will be required to pay a fee of £5.00, which will be passed on to the ACU.
Helmets that are not on the ACU Safety accreditation list Along with FIA & Snell Helmets

‣ Helmet will be confiscated and tagged with an identification tag – which will have a unique
reference on it.
‣ The Rider will have a wristband affixed to their wrist, which will have the same reference
number as the identification tag of their confiscated helmet. DO NOT REMOVE this
wristband, you will need to show the wristband upon collection of your helmet.
‣ The Helmet will be taken to the Welcome Office for safe keeping, pending collection by a
member of the Event Administration Team, who will collect and store in a sterile area
contained with the Event Administration Compound.
‣ Non compliant confiscated helmets cannot be collected until after the race you are
competing in. If you are competing in multiple races, it will be able to be collected after
your last race.
‣ To collect your helmet proceed to the Event Administration Compound and ask Security
to escort you to the Event Administration Offices.
‣ At the Event Administration Office, you will be asked to show your wristband and the
helmet relating to the reference shown on your wristband will be retrieved from storage
and handed over to yourself.
‣ Upon handover of the helmet your wristband will be cut off and you will be asked to sign
a Helmet Return Form.
‣ Helmets not collected at the event by 17.00 on the Sunday of the final day of racing will
be taken back to the RHL Offices in Abergavenny for collection from there.
‣ If a Rider wishes their helmet to be posted to them, they do so at their own risk of damage
and at their own cost. All postal costs to be paid in advance to RHL.
A Competitor who has failed this section of Technical Control will have to produce another
Helmet before carrying out the remainder of the Environmental and Technical Control procedures
A Competitor who fails to do this will automatically exclude themselves from racing, with loss of
entry and no recompense of fees.
SAFETY - Clothing
‣ Gloves

‣ Footwear
- Of Flame Retardant Material must be worn and presented
- Of Flame Retardant material must be worn and presented
- These are optional and will not form part of Technical Control
- Fire Suits must be worn, conforming to minimum standard ISO
15025:2000 standards, FIA 8856-2018 & SFI 3.2A are also accepted
- Appropriate Safety footwear to be worn
TECHNICAL CONTROL 2 - MACHINE
Specification
All vehicles must be manufacturer production machines that retain the basic factory
manufactured configuration and manufacturers engine with a fully functional four wheel-drive
system. Machines designed or produced as 4 seat variants are not permitted. Machine weight

to be the minimum dry weight without occupants as per the manufacturers specifications upto
2000cc.
The Vehicle must not be wider than 196cm/77”. Measurements being taken from outer edge of
opposing tyres with two drivers present in the vehicle.
Brakes
‣ Vehicles must be equipped with efficient brakes as fitted by the manufacturer and
operate on all four wheels
‣ All brakes must be operated by a single foot pedal operated by the driver. Less abled
participants will have an adapted braking system, which must be approved by the Chief
Technical Officer and Clerk of the Course
‣ Each vehicle must be equipped with a parking brake that will maintain pressure when the
driver is not in the vehi.l
Wheels & Tyres
‣ Chains and other non skid devices are not permitted
‣ Scoop or paddle tyres are not permitted
‣ A minimum diameter of 25”
Extinguishers
‣ Vehicles must be fitted with a certificated and serviceable fire extinguisher to a minim of
2kg
‣ Removable extinguishers must be stowed in an easily accessible position to the driver or
second driver whilst seated with a quick release system.
Shock Absorbers/Suspension
‣ Replacement of standard shock absorbers for aftermarket long travel suspension is
permitted, providing the original chassis mounting points are retained.
‣ Suspension pivot and mounting points may have additional material added (gussets) for
the purpose of strengthening, but factory material must not be removed.
Engine
Manufacturer specification, sound level 114db + 2
Exhausts
Manufacturer standard exhaust. Defined as the exhaust fitted by the manufacturer at the point
of machine production, must not exceed 114db + 2

Doors
Machines must be equipped with either factory, or aftermarket side doors, with permanent or
secondary latching system.
Horns
Use of horns is permitted, during vehicle on track, to
Fuel
‣ Inform a slower driver of the presence of a faster vehicle
‣ Abuse and overuse of horns will be classified as Sound pollution, as part of RHL Environmental
policy and will result in the driver being flagged to exit from the track, with not return.
‣ Only pump fuel allowed
‣ Refuelling can only take place in the pits
‣ Only BSI (British Safety Industry) refuelling containers can be used
Lamps
‣ Lifeline or equivalent LED Rain Light must be fitted and functioning
‣ Lights may be in the permanently ON position or fitted with an ON/OFF switch
Ignition
Vehicle to be fitted with an on/off ignition switch, clearly marked and accessible by both the driver
and from the outside of the vehicle.
Transmission
To have a gearbox:
‣ Neutral
‣ Reverse
Accelerator
Operated by foot or by hand.
Must have a return spring of sufficient strength to close the throttle with released.
Mirrors
All vehicles must have rear view mirrors fitted
Roll Cage
Must be fitted with a six point ROPS (Roll Over Protection System) or roll cage.
Seats and Harness
‣ Seats must be rigidly attached to the frame with bolts of a minimum 8mm diameter

‣ 4 Point Harness must be used, with a minimum of two shoulder and one lap belt
‣ Harness cutters to be fitted to each machine and accessible by either driver
Number Plates
Front and side numbers must be displayed on the vehicle
Metallic and Reflective number boards are not permitted
Nets And Doors
The open areas of the doors must be covered by a door or net, the net must not be fitted to the
loop or framework by means of drilling or welding
Nets must be fitted to the inside of the vehicle to prevent snagging
It is advised nets are fitted in the open area above doors
Nets must be fitted to allow easy access and egress from the vehicle
All operational doors must be fitted with a positive locking mechanism

DEMONSTRATION RACE
Transponders
The use of Transponders are compulsory and can be hired, if not in possession, please refer to
main Regulations for further information, re collection of Transponders.
Drivers/Mechanics
2 Drivers/Persons can be present in the vehicle whilst on track, at any time, on the condition:
‣ Hold a valid ACU Day Licence
‣ Have declared they will be on track, during registration and signed the disclaimer. For ease
disclaimer forms will be with the Technical Officers, to update any last minute changes allowed
within the rules and regulations for participants
‣ All persons to be within the vehicle, must have presented the regulatory safety equipment and
clothing to the technical officers for inspection
‣ Drivers may be swapped during racing
Breakdown on Track
Drivers are requested to assist with the movement and towing of any fellow participants who have
broken down on track or are stuck, through the use of their towing equipment, in the practice of
good sportsmanship.
Drivers/Mechanics may carry out remedial repair work on track, as long as they have their vehicle
in a safe area to carry out such work, ensuring they are not endangering themselves or their fellow
participants.
Any fuel or liquid spills as a result of breakdown must be alerted to the Officials on track, as this
may be classified as Environmental Contamination and will require isolation and clean up.
Breakdown assistance will be on site and any vehicle recovered will be taken back to the Pits.
Commencement and Finishing of Demonstration Race
‣ Participants will drive their machines out of the Pit Exit at slow speed and progress to the
start straight of the Race Track
‣ The demonstration race will commence under a Flag Start as instructed during the
participants briefing.
‣ Duration 3 hours.
‣ Once the first machine has been recorded by the Timing loop as completed one lap, there
will be no re start of the race under any circumstances.
‣ The deemed first finisher of the Demonstration Race will be the first machine that passes
the finish flag at the end of the track duration time of 3 hours
‣ At the end of the Demonstration Race all participants are to make their way back to the
pits and will have 30 minutes after the end of the race to exit the pits area, through the
same way as they entered, via security control.
‣ There will be no false start.

Participant Briefing
There will be a Participant briefing carried out by the Race Director/Clerk of the Course
This will be carried out in the Pits 10 minutes prior to machines on track
Marshalling
There will be Marshal spotters at designated points of the track, along with Race offials.
YELLOW - Waved Yellow flags will be used to indicate to Participants of
obstructions on Track and to reduce speed to approach with caution, with the
capability to stop or divert as will be indicated by the Race Officiations.
Medical
RED – All vehicles are to slow and stop and remain on track, held under Red Flag,
until the Race Official either declares the Demonstration Race over, or is to
recommence the Demonstration Race, from stop position. Vehicles must be
turned off whilst in the static position.
