bringing decades of music and screen fame to the Grandstand stage.

AVALON

From Page 5

about his career and if there was

anything specific he still wanted to

do, he said, “I’ve done everything

from Broadway to plays, to

television, to movies, to recordings,

(to) personal appearances… I’ve run

the gamut.”

According to Avalon, “It’s always

been a pleasure to play the fair. …

I’m looking forward to doing it

again.

“I hope the weather is good. I

think one time, I don’t know if it

was the last time, it rained, but the

audience was great. They stayed

there, we had a great performance,

and it was fun. So, I’m looking

forward to doing it again.”

His favorite place to perform,

he said, is “any stage.” He added,

“I don’t care where it is. I like to

perform. It doesn’t matter. The stage.

Just give me a stage, a microphone,

some lights, and I’m on.”

Avalon’s performance at the

Grandstand is free with fair

admission. Also performing on the

Grandstand will be Taylor’s Story,

an unofficial tribute to Taylor Swift,

on Oct. 8 at 7 p.m., and Sammy

Kershaw will perform on Oct. 9 at 7

p.m.
