foreword

Dear football fans,

welcome to today‘s exciting game against the Allgäu Comets and to the NMH kids‘ event. This season,

we‘ve not only grown together, but we‘ve also created an impressive walk-on show for all the football fans.

Together with the „walk-on team“ led by Alex Seyfried and Marcus Haider, we have made the stadium

experience even more unforgettable for all of us.

Our collaboration goes far beyond sports and sponsorship; it embodies the passion and dedication we

all feel for football and our community and should also be seen as a good example. It‘s based on agility,

spontaneity, and innovation – qualities that are both essential in sports and in projects. NMH and the

Razorbacks stand for these values and show that it is possible to achieve the seemingly impossible. As

recently happened in Schwäbisch Hall, turning the game around just before the final whistle and being

able to enjoy and celebrate the rewards of the great work of the entire team led by Coach John Gilligan is

inspiring.

Belief in our vision, which can become reality faster than initially seems possible, meticulous work, and the

courage to lead the way are crucial to our shared success and the joy of „moving forward“ together.

Some of the shared values on which the partnership between NMH and the Razorbacks is based

are:

1. Agility: The ability to respond flexibly and quickly to change.

2. Spontaneity: Openness to spontaneous ideas and decisions that lead to new possibilities.

3. Innovation: Creativity and innovative spirit to develop new concepts and solutions.

4. Commitment: A strong commitment to common goals and the willingness to work hard for success.

5. Cohesion: The belief that teamwork and collaboration are crucial to overcoming challenges and

achieving success.

6. Belief in the vision: The conviction that with perseverance and dedication, great goals can be achieved.

These are precisely the values we wish to see in the world of sports, society, clubs, companies, and the next

generation and we hope to lead by example together. Let‘s continue to tackle things together, create new

things, and take the newer generations along the way with us, thinking about tomorrow today.

Thank you for allowing us and me to be a part of this exciting chapter!

Best regards,

Christian Bulander

defence was particularly strong, with 4.5 sacks from Ben Rashid and an interception

interview

with Henri Moudilou

Let’s start with the most important question:

Henri, how do you actually pronounce you, “Henri” or “Orie” ?

HENRI: It’s spoken in French, but spelled in German.

Are your parents French, or where does the surname Moudilou come from?

HENRI: My mom is German, and my dad grew up in Congo, a former French colonial power, so my

name is also pronounced French

Where did you grow up, and how did you get into American football and the ifm Razorbacks?

HENRI: I’m from Ankenreute near Weingarten, so in the Ländle region. I got invited to a football

tryout in Ravensburg via Instagram in 2022. I started with the Devo team and then made it straight

into the GFL squad in 2022.

You were injured for a long time, and we didn’t really

see you in action until the home game in Munich.

What happened?

HENRI: Yes, I broke my metacarpal in a hard tackle in the

game against Straubing. My hand had to be operated

on, and I was out for six weeks. I had to play the games

afterward with a special splint, but now I’m finally back

without it.

What are the biggest challenges you face as a player

in the GFL, both on and off the field?

HENRI: Off the field, being a local player is extremely

diffcult and requires excellent time

management.

You work 40 hours. Then you spend more than 10

hours training, plus video analysis and games on the

weekend. You automatically neglect friends, family,

and your partner. Athletically: If you’re injured, it’s

hard not to let it get you down and get back on track.

You work hard the entire offseason and, of course,

always want to play. It’s also diffcult to recognise your

mistakes and turn them into something positive. Even

when things aren’t going well, you have to stay motivated

and focus on the important things. And overall, it

is important to stay fit and continue to develop.

13

Football is a very physical sport. How do you prepare mentally and physically for a game?

HENRI: I pretty much always eat the same thing and hydrate myself. In my first year, I was still very

nervous and everything was very hectic. Now I have my routines, and you calm down over time. In

the offseason, it’s important to train properly and not just mindlessly pump. Smart training,

functional training is key. It simply reduces the risk of injury.

What’s your life like outside of football—work, studies, hobbies?

HENRI: I work as a mechatronics engineer and am responsible for the electronic installation of

measuring systems. In winter, I like to go skiing, play soccer, and ride my motorcycle.

How do you deal with defeats—both personally and within the team context?

HENRI: It always depends on the type of defeat. You can’t compare the loss against Dresden or the

one in Straubing. We can learn from the Dresden game, and it showed us that we can perform

well. The games against Hall and Straubing were avoidable defeats. Careless mistakes and lapses

in concentration were the cause. We needed to address that.

If you could repeat or change one moment in your football career – what would it be and why?

HENRI: Diffcult. But I would honestly say my first GFL appearance. Because the atmosphere was

overwhelming. Also, my Most Improved Player Award.

That was special. It gave me a boost, and it was recognition for all the hard work you put into the

sport.

What are your long-term goals in football – what are you aiming for and/or would you like to

be involved in coaching later on?

HENRI: Phew... Coaching is still a long way off for me. I want to focus on my playing career first.

It’s still in its early stages. But of course, I can imagine passing on my knowledge and experiences

to others in the long term. The next goal is the Southern Championship and the playoffs, and then

we’ll see how far we go

Those are the perfect closing words. Thank you, Henri,

for your time, and I wish you another injury-free season.

interim Summary season 2025

ifm Razorbacks Ravensburg

The 2025 season of the ifm Razorbacks Ravensburg is in full swing, and seven of twelve

games have been completed, providing a good opportunity to pause and take stock..

After a mixed start with a narrow loss to the Straubing Spiders (24:31) and an equally

close game against the

Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns (27:30),

the team showed impressive

development. The win against

the Pforzheim Wilddogs (21:17)

and the dominant game against

the Saarland Hurricanes (45:20)

marked turning points in the season.

The home game against the

Munich Cowboys (48:20) was also

an offensive firework that got the

crowd going..

A particular highlight was the

game against the Dresden Monarchs,

one of the strongest teams

in the league. Despite the 33:49

loss, the team put in a combative

performance that garnered

national recognition. Even more

remarkable was the victory

against the Schwäbisch Hall

Unicorns on July 26th – a historic

moment for the Razorbacks, a

milestone not only in sporting

terms but also emotionally. Never

before had they defeated the undisputed Southern champions for years.

With a record of four wins and three losses, which currently places the Razorbacks in

third place in the Erima GFL South, the team is in the midst of the fight for a playoff

spot and even the Southern championship. The toughest game of the season still lies

ahead with the interconference game against the reigning German champions, the

23

Potsdam Royals, but if the coaches and team

continue to develop like this, anything seems possible this year

A player deep-dive

The season’s top performers are once again the familiar faces from the region. Tim

Müller continues to be one of the best receivers and is already being hailed as one of

the strongest German players at this position in the league. Through his dual role as a

pass receiver and kicker, he has already scored 58 points. But with new additions Aniel

Buße, Aidan Enneking, and Anthony Harris, QB Broghean McGovern has a tough time

choosing where to place his passes.

Lucas Walk consistently applies pressure in the defensive line and, along with Ben

Rashid, Helio Baros Lima, and Samuel Mindham, leaving opposing QBs little time to

pass. Alex Mashak, who ranks among the league’s top five tacklers with 47 tackles, as

well as the injured Henri Moudilou,

Jonah Choate, and Finner Herter, along

with the rest of the defensive line, ensure

that every opponent respects this

defence.

The integration of players from the Devo

team is also bearing fruit. Nils Wullf has

already attracted attention with three

interceptions and recovering the ball at

key moments. Coach Gilligan has also

appointed the most talented youth

players to the GFL roster following the

conclusion of their U19 seasons..

Head Coach John Gilligan has once again

succeeded in building a true team. The

international coaching staff and targeted

personnel changes have created a unit

that motivates each other and

is ready to give their all for victory.

24

The other Razorbacks teams are also performing strongly.

The Devo team, under Jake Suggett, secured the state league championship title

in their final game of the season, thus winning their second consecutive title. In the

youth section, Thorsten Friedrich, Alexander Borgmann, Volkmar Walter, and their

team are succeeding in further structuring the youth program, which has resulted

in second place in the U19 state league.

Overall, it is clear that the ifm Razorbacks’ overall program is continuing to develop, laying

the foundation for a successful GFL team. Last year’s first GFL playoff participation

is not an isolated incident. On the contrary, the

Razorbacks are firmly expected to make it to the playoffs, and that’s far from over.

The Creation of the ifm Razorbacks Ravensburg Walk-On Show

With a blend of technical sophistication, creative passion, and strong team spirit, the

ifm Razorbacks Ravensburg have created a new walk-on show that delights both players

and fans. The idea came from Alexander Seyfried, who coordinated and organized

the team’s walk-on for years. His goal was to make the players’ pre-game appearance

in the GFL 1 more professional and to raise it to a new level, both visually and technically.

“I wanted to professionalize the walk-on and enhance it visually and technically,”

explains Seyfried.

What began as a spontaneous sketch over coffee at Marienplatz on March 12, 2025,

developed into a full-fledged show concept within just four weeks. Together with

Christian Bulander, Managing Director of NMH GmbH and long-time sponsor of the

Razorbacks, and other committed partners, the idea was implemented in record time.

The first prototype was presented on April 13, 2025 – proof of what’s possible with commitment

and a strong network.

The implementation of the run-in show was only possible thanks to the close and

trusting collaboration of everyone involved. In addition to Seyfried and Bulander, Jens

Nassal (model construction), Joachim Kahl (paint), and the NMH technical team also

played a key role. Of particular note are the two Eberharts – impressive figures manufactured

by Modellbau Nassal and finished by Kahl Autolackierungen. They form the

visual centerpiece of the show and symbolize the team’s strength and character.

“The uncomplicated and trusting collaboration was particularly valuable because it

avoided major bureaucratic hurdles,” emphasises Bulander. This project impressively

demonstrates how innovative ideas can become reality through volunteer work and

strong partnerships.

The run-in show has already been used at five home games and is continuously being

developed further. In addition to the technical equipment, it impresses with standardised

scheduling and the unique presentation by Marcus Haider. His voice gives

the show a distinctive atmosphere and contributes significantly to its recognition. The

result is a consistent experience that

captivates the audience and further

motivates the players. For the club, the

new entrance show represents far

more than just a visual highlight. It

strengthens the players’ and fans’

identification with the ifm Razorbacks

and makes the team visible beyond

the region.

31

The initiators see this as a message to society and

politics that change is possible through commitment and

cooperation – especially in a non-bureaucratic way.

Christian Bulander recounts his first encounters with American football and the family

atmosphere at the ifm Razorbacks. “The joy of shared commitment and the family

atmosphere are important factors for the success of the project,” he says. This personal

motivation and the relaxed yet goal-oriented approach characterise the dynamics of

the team and the show.

The realisation of this project was significantly supported by the cooperation of various

partners: Special mention goes to NMH for the technical implementation and transport

on the day of the event, Modellbau Nassal for the design, and Joachim Kahl for the

professional paint job. Their contributions are not only visible in the club’s newsletter

but are also a central part of the success. “The close collaboration with these partners

was the foundation for our success,” Seyfried summarizes.

The project impressively demonstrates how an idea can evolve into a professional and

motivating event – driven by friendship, commitment, and the will to create something

special. “We are proud of what we have achieved together and look forward to the

future,” Seyfried concludes.
