Catering manager and head chef, Lisa Canton together with her sous chef Alicia Todaro,
have built a welcoming and inclusive space for the community.
The café provides pre-theatre dining experiences as well as a popular Wednesday matinee
lunches. The team has enjoyed working with many local businesses providing catering for
training days, annual meetings and corporate events.
Café Torch can also provide a private setting for more intimate gatherings such as afternoon
teas, baby showers, wakes and bespoke private dining experiences. Do you know we also
create delicious occasion cakes, brownie boxes, cupcakes and mince pies to order?

After the glorious summer we were treated to, it’s back to school and back to work
for the Torch team as we prepare for a very busy autumn and winter. As always, we
will be bringing you the very best professional productions, with fabulously talented
Welsh actors and creatives bringing their magic to the Torch stage. Gather round for
a deliciously creepy ghost story with The Turn of The Screw – I promise it will keep
you on the edge of your seat. Then grab your hairbrush for the hair-larious panto
Rapunzel! Both shows will have you shouting, ‘it’s behind you!’, but for very different
reasons. Our visiting programme is also bursting with the very best live music,
theatre productions fresh from sell out runs at Edinburgh Festival Fringe and plenty
of treats for opera broadcast buffs. Come on in out of the cold and treat yourself to an
extraordinary evening of entertainment.

As the nights draw in Torch Theatre Company welcomes you to Jeffrey Hatcher’s ingenious
adaptation of Henry James’s chilling novella The Turn of the Screw. Part ghost story, part
psychological thriller, this Gothic classic is sure to leave your spine tingling.
A bright young woman arrives at Bly Manor, to act as governess to two orphaned children. But over
the course of seven days an eerie mystery unravels – what happened to the former governess? And
who is the man that keeps appearing around the manor grounds?
This theatrical adaptation is an imaginative tour de force for two actors, who will keep you enraptured
as we witness the haunting of Bly Manor.
This Torch Theatre production will leave you questioning was it your imagination, or terrifying

The four age groups – from 7 to 18 years old meet
on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.
Autumn Term begins from Tuesday 16th and
Wednesday 17th September.

Or you can call the Box Office between 11.00am and 5.00pm on Tuesday to Saturday and on Sunday an
hour before performances and screenings. Box Office is closed on Bank Holidays with the exception of Good
Friday.
