Innovation
as an engine
for growth
| 19
T E S Y A G R O U P
Innovation is not just a matter of technology, but a real strategic
approach. For the TESYA Group, it represents a futureoriented
mindset, a growth engine that makes companies
more efficient, sustainable and secure in the long term.
As one of the most disruptive innovations of our time, Artificial
Intelligence offers extraordinary opportunities and can make a
real impact in many areas. However, it is not enough to have data
and algorithms; experience, intuition and critical thinking are
needed to exploit its full potential. At TESYA, this means taking
a proactive and deliberate approach, investing in studies
and research to apply AI to our processes, machines and
staff training. But our role does not stop there: we want to be a
point of reference for customers and suppliers, guiding them on
this transformational journey.
Artificial Intelligence can improve efficiency and productivity,
but to make a real impact it requires targeted investment, solid
expertise and a strategic vision. Our aim is to facilitate this
process by offering concrete, customized solutions.
20 |
O N E G R O U P . O N E S H A R E D V I S I O N .
From innovation to reality
At TESYA, we believe that innovation must translate into
tangible solutions. Therefore, we focus on the main drivers
of industrial development: digitization, automation, circular
economy and energy transition.
We do not just adopt new technologies, but integrate them into
our business processes, customizing them to offer maximum
value to our customers.
An open ecosystem
for innovation
In an environment of rapid and profound change, the ability
to adapt is essential. Operating as an open system means
interpreting the market with lucidity and responding
quickly and effectively.
For us, being an open ecosystem also means collaborating
with global partners, integrating innovations from different
sectors and crossing traditional company boundaries. Only in
this way can we accelerate the evolution of our business and
best support the needs of our customers.

21
T E S Y A G R O U P
The use of advanced telematics systems makes it possible
to monitor machine performance in real time and prevent
breakdowns, reducing downtime and ensuring efficiency
and productivity. Technologies such as CAT Command
enable remote control in critical environments, eliminating
risks to operators, while 3D solutions improve accuracy and
efficiency on construction sites. The adoption of Human
Detect, which detects people in the work area, and advanced
protective devices ensure environments comply with the latest
regulations, reducing the risk of accidents and improving safety
management in the field.
INNOVATION
FOR A MORE EFFICIENT,
PRODUCTIVE AND
SAFE INDUSTRY
Today, our machine operators benefit from advanced virtual
training. This allows us to offer our customers highly qualified
personnel who are able to handle any possible scenario.
At Finanzauto, the Finanzauto Operator School offers
customized courses that use state-of-the-art machine
simulators, providing a realistic training experience without
personal risk or damage to equipment.
ADVANCED
VIRTUAL TRAINING
FOR OPERATORS
This is a hybrid training methodology that ensures a
comprehensive understanding of how the machines work,
effectively integrating theoretical knowledge and practice. The
program is aimed at operators of heavy earthmoving machinery
in sectors such as public works, mining, and open-pit and
underground extraction.
The energy transition is a necessary change to reduce
emissions and improve resource efficiency. TESYA, through
its business units dedicated to energy, aims to strengthen its
position internationally in the field of energy generation and
cogeneration, both in industry and the marine world.
Through XIBER and in synergy with the other companies, the
Group develops decarbonization systems for industry,
promoting the adoption of multi-technology and multi-supplier,
highly integrated, turnkey solutions.

O N E G R O U P . O N E S H A R E D V I S I O N .
RENTAL AS A
STRATEGIC LEVER
FOR THE CIRCULAR
ECONOMY
We believe that sustainability also passes through new business
models. Rental is a concrete response to the need to reduce
fixed capital and improve efficiency in the use of equipment.
The Group is present in the sector with Alayan, CGT, CLS, CGT
Trucks, Finanzauto and Teknoxgroup, which stand out for
their consultancy and integrated solutions-oriented positioning.
In addition to the supply of modern, digital equipment, they also
offer technology, data management and advanced services to
simplify business operations.
In particular, with Alayan, recently launched on the market by
bringing together the companies of the Rental Services Division
of Italy, Spain and Portugal, the Group positions itself as a
multi-specialist organization in short-term rental services
for companies of all sizes operating in Industry (special
applications), Infrastructure and Events.
AUTOMATION
AND DIGITIZATION:
INNOVATION FOR
INTRALOGISTICS
Innovation is transforming intralogistics, making it increasingly
efficient, secure and integrated. Dymation—the CLS
Business Unit specializing in industrial automation and
intralogistics—develops tailor-made solutions to automate the
management of these workflows, reduce waste and increase
productivity. Thanks to scalable and integrated technologies
(from autonomous AMR/AGV vehicles to robot picking
systems and advanced management software), the logistics
of the future are already a reality.
|
23
Sustainability:
a concrete
and shared
commitment
|
25
T E S Y A G R O U P
Sustainability is one of the founding pillars of the TESYA
Group’s development.
In our model, economic growth and social responsibility
go hand in hand and combine to create shared value. Every
choice we make today is guided by a long-term vision, aiming
to positively impact communities and future generations.
As a large industrial Group, we recognize our key role within the
economic system and are committed to making decisions that
favor sustainable and responsible business.
We are making rapid progress in several directions: the
progressive implementation of ESG initiatives in the most
relevant categories, the explicit support of the UN 2030 Agenda
and the ‘Sustainable Development Goals’, several initiatives in
favor of the communities in which we operate (the international
STARTech training project and the social responsibility project
‘Back to Your Future’), and, finally, the adhesion to the ‘UN
Global Compact’ path.
Our commitment in the three areas of sustainability—
environmental, business and social—is even more significant
because it is transparent and shared, both within the Group
and with stakeholders, partners and communities.
26 |
O N E G R O U P . O N E S H A R E D V I S I O N .
Environmental sustainability:
reduce emissions, increase
efficiency
The TESYA Group has set itself a clear goal: to reduce CO 2
emissions by 40% by 2030. To achieve this, we have
initiated ‘TESYA DECARBONISATION 2030’, a 35 million euro
investment program to improve the energy efficiency of our
sites, reduce consumption and integrate renewable sources.
But our approach goes far beyond environmental sustainability.
Every day, together with our partners, we develop solutions
to reduce the environmental impact of our customers’
operations by improving energy efficiency and optimizing
consumption.
We believe that actively participating in the energy transition
is a strategic business choice that—by reducing operating costs
and optimizing energy supplies—allows companies to improve
their competitiveness and differentiate themselves in the
market.
Thanks to XIBER, the ESCo of the TESYA Group, and in synergy
with the Energy & Transportation business units of CGT,
Finanzauto, STET and Teknoxgroup, we present ourselves
as a single partner to accompany customers at every stage of
the industrial decarbonization process.
We promote the transition to a circular economy, encouraging
virtuous practices to reduce waste and optimize the use of
resources. Central to this are the contributions of long-term
rental—with CGT, Finanzauto, STET, CLS, and CGT Trucks—
and short-term rental with Alayan. Thanks to new-generation
machines and equipment and advanced solutions, we can
support customers’ operational efficiency while reducing their
environmental impact.
Finally, to promote reuse outside our corporate perimeter,
we have created CYCLICA, an international digital platform
dedicated to the second-hand market of machines, industrial
equipment and reconditioned spare parts.

Social sustainability: training for
young people and labor inclusion
Our aim is to create a positive impact on the communities
in which we operate.
That is why we invest in training and inclusion: to provide
opportunities for new generations and people in fragile
situations to grow.
In terms of social responsibility, ‘Back to Your Future’ is a
project dedicated to NEETs (young people who are not studying
and not working) and young people at risk of dropping out
of school. The initiative aims to support them in regaining the
motivation and skills necessary to build a professional future
by finding their place within the social and employment circuit.
A distinctive element of the program is active volunteering by
TESYA employees, who participate as coaches and mentors,
transferring skills and accompanying the young people on a
path of growth.
Realized in cooperation with the Italian Center for Lifelong
Learning (CIAPE), a non-profit association specialized in
training, and its network of international training centers, ‘Back
to Your Future’ involved 120 young people and 101 TESYA
volunteers in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Croatia and Slovenia.
28 |
O N E G R O U P . O N E S H A R E D V I S I O N .
Supporting young people on the margins of the
labor market is not only a collective duty but also an
opportunity to enrich the productive fabric with
new skills and talent.
Continuous investment in human capital is essential
to ensure the sustainable growth of the communities
with which we relate and to meet the economic and
social challenges of the future.
Inclusion and diversity are two fundamental
principles of our corporate culture. At the TESYA
Group, we promote open and inclusive work
environments, ensuring equal opportunities for
access and professional development. We believe
that a more equal and diverse company is also more
innovative, competitive and better able to respond to
market and societal needs.
Business sustainability
and value creation for customers
One of the reasons for the TESYA Group’s success lies in its
ability to support each customer with a targeted approach,
thoroughly understanding their needs and objectives. This
in-depth knowledge of their strategic processes allows us to
position ourselves as a solid, long-term partner.
We believe in transparency as an essential element in building
strong relationships with customers, partners and stakeholders:
that is why we adopt a clear and measurable reporting system,
making all progress and actions traceable.
The quality and safety of our operations are guaranteed by
internationally recognized certifications, including ISO 9001,
ISO 45001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 20121, which attest to
high standards in quality management, occupational health and
safety, sustainability of events and business processes.
For us, being sustainable means creating long-term value.
That is why we continue to invest in innovation, improve our
operating standards, and support our customers on their path
to sustainable growth.

Remanufacturing:
reconditioned components
for a more sustainable future
Remanufacturing is a fundamental pillar of the circular
economy, a model in which our Group strongly believes. It is
based on principles that promote shared responsibility between
manufacturers and customers throughout the entire product
life cycle, with the aim of reducing the consumption of virgin raw
materials and the environmental impact associated with the
production of new goods. Through this process, the useful life
of industrial goods is extended, previously used resources are
repurposed, and the sustainability of our customers’ activities is
strengthened. At TESYA, remanufacturing is a strategic lever for
generating economic and environmental value, not only for
our customers and our Group, but for the entire manufacturing
sector supply chain.
Each engine undergoes complete disassembly, technical
inspection, and functional testing. Components that meet the
criteria for reuse are reused; those that do not comply are replaced
with new parts. At the end of the process, the engine is tested
on dedicated test benches to verify its performance. The
center provides support to operational sites globally, ensuring
consistency in processes and uniform quality standards.
ENGINE
REGENERATION
The machining center is an integral part of the engine
reconditioning process. It is equipped with state-of-the-art
CNC machinery and managed by highly specialized personnel,
capable of performing high-precision automatic machining with
tolerances down to 2 microns. The center operates on a wide
range of models and brands, allowing for internal management
of critical machining operations and ensuring full technical and
quality control of the process.
PRECISION
MACHINING
Turbocharger regeneration is carried out both as part of the
engine overhaul process and as a separate activity at the
operating sites. Each unit undergoes technical inspection,
overhaul according to reference specifications, functional
testing, and final certification. The process includes geometric
inspection, replacement of worn components, and dynamic
balancing to ensure the performance and reliability equivalent
to a new component.
TURBOCHARGER

O N E G R O U P . O N E S H A R E D V I S I O N .
HYDRAULIC CYLINDER
RECONDITIONING
Hydraulic cylinder reconditioning is performed in accordance
with the manufacturer’s specifications. The process begins
with a technical evaluation of the component and may include
polishing and honing the tube, replacing seals, completely
rebuilding the tube and rod, and applying anti-wear surface
coatings. The center operates in a multi-brand context and has
an internal program for stocked reconditioned cylinders, aimed
at reducing downtime and optimizing operational response.
ADVANCED THERMAL
COATINGS
As a Group, we have a center for advanced heat treatments in
Arganda del Rey (Spain), dedicated to both component coating
and surface restoration.
The Arganda plant is currently one of the few centers of its kind
in Europe that does not use hexavalent chromium, the use of
which will be subject to restrictions in the EU in the coming
years for certain industrial applications.
The two main techniques used are:
• HVOF (High Velocity Oxygen Fuel): projection of metal
particles at high speed and temperature to obtain dense,
highly adhesive, and wear-resistant coatings.
• Arc Spray: melting of metal wires using an electric arc for
the dimensional recovery of out-of-tolerance components.
This center serves both internal regeneration activities and
other industrial divisions.

Forming the present
to build the future
We believe in the value of training and the many opportunities
it offers to improve, learn and express one’s potential. In 2024,
we have provided 150,000 hours of training, with the aim of
enabling everyone to grow and perform at their best.
We have developed courses dedicated to different professional
levels, from the growth of young talents to leadership programs
for management (both executive and middle) within the TESYA
YOUniversity, the Group’s veritable ‘Knowledge & Competence
Center’, dedicated to the sharing of technical knowledge
(continuous learning) and the development of professional
skills, both specialist and managerial.
We firmly believe in the centrality of technical education
and the benefits of collaboration between companies and the
education system: TESYA wants to become a reference point
for technical education in the markets where it operates,
to give young people concrete opportunities for professional
growth and to continue building the future of our Group.
A concrete example of our commitment is STARTech, a
program set up in 2023 to train the technicians of the
future. The project involves a structured course of theory and
practice in Group companies to provide specialized skills in the
maintenance and technical assistance sector.
Thanks to the collaboration with local technical institutes,
STARTech represents a concrete opportunity for young people
who want to enter the world of work with solid and immediately
spendable preparation. The TESYA Group’s goal is to stabilize
the students’ employment position at the end of the training
period.

Advanced technologies
to optimize logistics flows
Industrial logistics is undergoing a profound evolution. Process
automation improves efficiency, reduces errors and frees
staff from repetitive tasks, allowing resources to be allocated
to higher-value tasks. At the same time, it raises production
standards, ensuring greater precision and business continuity.
From a broader perspective, innovation in intralogistics
processes—particularly the integration of automation systems,
robotics, and digital solutions - is a strategic factor in improving
efficiency, safety, and business continuity in manufacturing
companies and distribution centers.
Solution integration
and sustainability
Automation brings both an increase in productivity and a step
forward in sustainability, as it reduces energy consumption
and optimizes the use of resources.
In many cases, the best results are achieved by leveraging
the logistics potential of each company, integrating existing
logistics processes with innovative technological solutions
and redesigning handling to make it more fluid, efficient, and
automated.
