FAITHFUL GOD,
FAITHFUL CHRISTMAS
THE HEART OF CHRISTMAS
AT WORK
Faithful God,
Faithful Christmas
Leslie Williams
As Christmas lights start going up, many people are
still feeling the effects of the recent 43-day
government shutdown. Families around the
country are dealing with financial pressure,
frustration, and uncertainty about what comes next.
Instead of stepping into the season with
excitement, a lot of folks are carrying extra stress.
And it is in moments like these that the heart of
Christmas becomes even more meaningful.
When we sing “O come, all ye faithful, joyful and
triumphant,” it is not just a beautiful lyric. It is an
invitation. It is not asking us to pretend everything is
fine. It is an invitation to come to God with whatever
we are facing and trust that He meets us right there.
Scripture reminds us, “The Lord is faithful to all his
promises and loving toward all he has made”
(Psalm 145:13, NIV). Even when life feels shaky,
God’s faithfulness never wavers.
Because we know this, we have a special
opportunity: to share the hope of Jesus not just
during Christmas, but all year long. The old hymn
still encourages us, “Go tell it on the mountain… that
Jesus Christ is born!” And right now, people need
that good news more than ever.
Just as God kept His promise on that first Christmas
in Bethlehem, He is still keeping His promises
today. So take a breath, lift your eyes, and
remember this: Emmanuel, God with us, is here. His
presence brings peace, His promises bring stability,
and His love gives us strength to keep going.
May this Christmas bring you renewed hope, real
joy, and a steady confidence in the God who has
always been faithful.
“And my God will meet all your needs
according to the riches of his glory in
Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:19
“Do not be anxious about anything, but
in every situation, by prayer and
petition, with thanksgiving, present
your requests to God.”
Philippians 4:6

THE HEART OF CHRISTMAS AT WORK
Leslie Williams
"For even the Son of Man did not come to
be served, but to serve..."
Mark 10:45
The Christmas season has a way of
slowing us down just enough to notice
what truly matters. Even in the middle of
year-end tasks, meetings, and ministry
preparations, there is a subtle shift that
reminds us the work we do is connected
to something bigger than our to-do lists.
Christmas invites us to lift our eyes from
the routine and remember the joy, hope,
and love that came into the world
through Christ.
The heart of Christmas is not found in
decorations or gifts. It is found in people.
In you. Every act of kindness, every
moment of patience, and every effort
you bring to your role reflects the love of
God at work. Whether your day is filled
with spreadsheets, phone calls, planning,
or problem-solving, each task becomes
an opportunity to shine His light.
Just as Jesus came to serve with humility
and compassion, you serve our church
family with dedication that often goes
unseen but never goes unnoticed by
God. Your faithfulness helps create a
place where others can encounter hope
and healing, and that is something truly
beautiful.
As we move through this season, one
email, one project, and one service at a
time, take a moment to breathe in the
peace of Christ. Celebrate the small
victories. Appreciate the teamwork.
Notice how God uses ordinary work to
accomplish extraordinary things.
Thank you for bringing your talents, your
heart, and your presence to The Worship
Center. You help make this ministry
strong, warm, and full of life. May this
Christmas season fill you with rest, joy, and
the steady reminder that your work
matters more than you know.

SCRIPTURE
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and
the government will be on his shoulders. And he will
be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
OBSERVATION
Christmas is more than the gifts under the tree, the
twinkling lights, or the festive gatherings. It
celebrates God’s greatest gift to humanity - His Son,
Jesus Christ. Through His birth, we received the
hope of salvation, the promise of peace, and God’s
unconditional love.
Isaiah’s prophecy reminds us of the powerful
names of Jesus, each name reflecting God’s nature.
He is Wonderful, bringing joy and awe. He is our
Counselor, guiding us through life’s challenges. He is
the Mighty God, demonstrating His power to save
and protect. As the Everlasting Father, He cares for
us beyond anything an earthly father could do. And
as the Prince of Peace, He offers rest for our weary
souls in a chaotic and noisy world.
When we focus on the true meaning of Christmas,
we see it as a reminder and an invitation to not just
give tangible gifts but to also worship, reflect, and
reconnect our hearts with God.
APPLICATION
As we celebrate this Christmas, let’s embrace the
GREATEST GIFTS…
Pause and reflect. Take a moment to quiet your
heart and think about the goodness of God in
your life this year. Thank God for His love and His
plan for your life.
Share love and hope. Look for ways to reflect
Christ's love in your actions. A kind word, a helping
hand, or a listening ear can remind someone of
God’s care. Extend this to people you may not know
and who may not know Christ.
Find peace in His presence. The holidays can be
busy and overwhelming, but take time to sit in God’s
presence. Allow His peace to fill your heart and
home.
PRAYER
Lord,
Thank You for the precious gift of Your Son, Jesus, who
came to this world to bring us salvation, peace, and joy.
Help us to focus on the true meaning of Christmas, not
the distractions that can consume this time of the year.
May our hearts be filled with gratitude as we remember
Your love for us.
Teach us to share that love with others, to be a light in
the darkness, and to carry the hope of Jesus into every
situation. God thank You for filling this season with
comfort, laughter, and rest. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
OUR HOPE AND HEART FOR YOU, TWC
FAMILY!
This Christmas, may your heart overflow with the love
and joy of Christ. No matter what this year has held, the
hope of Christmas reminds us that God is with us -
Emmanuel - and He will never leave us. You are loved
beyond measure, and your life is part of a divine plan.
Merry Christmas, and may His peace rest with you
always.
