Our line of bio based
ski goggles
As a B-Corp our mission is to create products that are not only technically amazing,
but that have a positive impact on the world and the people we come across.
Bio project, our line of bio-based ski goggles, is our act of change.
Both the elastic band and the microfiber pouch are made with recycled textiles with
the GRS (global recycled standard) certification.
Frame: PEARLTHANE ECO TPU
Pearlthane is a renewable source-based TPU. The renewable part is extracted from
castor oil and the end material contains up to 46% of bio-based material.
Castor oil, known since 2000 B.C., is obtained by squeezing the seeds of the
Ricinus communis plant.
Furthermore, Pearlthane performs even better than non-bio-based TPUs since it
maintains better flexibility at low temperatures.
This is a beginning, a first step towards products that don’t put our winters and our
beloved outdoors at risk, without compromising on performance, durability and looks
that are always at Out Of’s core.
Combining bio-based materials to products that are meant to be repaired and restored,
rather than thrown away at the first sign of aging, we can truly start making an impact.
Rigid parts (buckles, lens frames): RILSAN® CLEAR G 850 Rnew
It is a high performance copolyamide specifically designed for high end optical
frames, that contains up to 51% of renewable carbon.

COMPETITOR
There are plenty of so-called “anti-fog” lenses on the market.
That’s because the EN166 standard defines “anti-fog” as any lens that resists fogging
for at least 8 seconds — which, in real use, isn’t nearly enough.
Our lenses withstand 300 seconds in the anti-fog test — the maximum limit the testing
machine can record.
