A BIG hello to Alphabet Forest.

We’re going on a journey through various parts of

the Alphabet Forest. This book focuses on an area

in the forest where you’ll find a big crystal letter

A. All the animals there are named with the

letter A, and all the fun they get up to often happens

around words which begin with the letter A.

We hope you have a lot of fun when

you read the adventure.

After the story ends you see a page with how

many words in the story start with the letter A,

can you count them as you go along and see if

you get the right number at the end.

In the next adventure, it will all be about

the letter ‘B’, introducing new characters

and a wonderful new adventure.

Enjoy the story and have fun.

chapter 1

AMY AND HER ALPHABET WORLD

Amy the Aardvark lived in a bright

amber home where everything celebrated

the letter A. She adored apples, apricots

and asparagus, collected alphabet art

and attempted acrobatics despite her

troublesome tail.

Her days were peaceful until one April

morning when a strange rumble swept

through the forest. It sounded like

marching ants wearing tap shoes.

Amy’s long ears twitched as she

wondered what alarming thing might

be approaching. She stepped outside

expecting an avalanche or something

alien, unaware that this sound would

begin an adventure shaped entirely

around the letter she loved most.

chapter 2

ANTHONY'S URGENT NEWS

Amy was startled as Anthony the

Antelope galloped past wearing aviator

goggles and an aqua scarf. His hooves

scattered clouds of acorn dust while he

called out urgently for her to assemble.

Anthony explained that an enormous

mysterious A had appeared deep in the

forest, and animals were gathering to

see it. His dramatic announcement filled

Amy with astonishment. They hurried

together, curiosity rising with each step.

On the way, Adam the Ant joined them,

carrying his architect’s notebook,

excitedly explaining that the structure

looked astonishing from every angle.

Something extraordinary was clearly

waiting ahead.

7

chapter 3

FRIENDS GATHER FOR THE MYSTERY

Anthony, Amy and Adam continued

onward and soon met Austin the

Alpaca, who carried apricot sandwiches

and animated apples that kept leaping

from his basket. He kindly offered food

to calm any anxious hearts.

Abigail the Armadillo rolled up

moments later, peaceful as ever with

her accordion. Her gentle presence

steadied the group. Together, the five

friends made their way toward the

forest centre, determined to uncover

the cause of the strange rumble.

None of them knew the surprise that

awaited them or how enormous this

mysterious A would soon prove to be.

chapter 4

DISCOVERY OF THE GIANT A

At last they reached the clearing and

gasped. Before them towered a gigantic

glowing A made of amber, amethyst

and something resembling angel cake.

Animals circled it in amazement while

ants applauded and alligators tried

taking selfies.

Anthony stepped forward boldly and

tapped the surface. A musical A-ding

filled the air. Suddenly, the structure

brightened, and its centre split open,

revealing a swirling archway. Amy stared

in disbelief as Anthony announced that

adventure awaited.

Before any of them could react the portal

opened wide and pulled Anthony straight

inside, beginning an unexpected journey.

11

chapter 5

SWEPT THROUGH THE A-DOOR

As Anthony vanished, Adam rushed

forward, shouting that they must assist

him, only to be pulled in as well. The

remaining three grabbed each other

tightly, but the alphabet winds dragging

from the portal were too strong.

With a powerful whoosh, the swirling

doorway pulled them into its bright

amber tunnel. They tumbled through

spinning A-shaped light until they finally

landed in a strange land where everything

seemed alive. Trees stood in the shape of

A. Clouds floated like drifting letters.

Armchairs wandered about humming, and

acrobatic alpacas somersaulted across

apricot orchards.

13

14

chapter 6

ENTERING THE LAND OF A

The friends rose to their feet in wonder.

Anthony stood nearby, tangled in

animated asparagus vines that tried

to arrange themselves. Animated fruit

bounced happily around them. Astronaut

alligators floated by in acorn-shaped

airships. Everywhere they turned, they

saw something beginning with A.

Adam studied their surroundings and

declared the land alphabetically alive.

Abigail sensed that everything awaited

proper arrangement. Amy agreed that

they should assist wherever needed.

Together, the five friends set off through

the astonishing landscape, ready to

understand why everything behaved so

strangely and what might need to be

restored.

15

16

chapter 7

EXPLORING THE A-WORLD

Their exploration took them into an apricot

village where every house, hat and drink

was made from apricots.

They visited an avocado amphitheatre where

performers presented acorn adventures.

They wandered through an animal academy

where aardvark astronomers taught

alpacas how to study distant asteroids. Yet

something felt unsettled beneath the fun.

Armchairs bumped into airships. Animated

apples escaped orchards and rolled across

asparagus fields. Avocados argued with

acorns. Everything seemed active but

unbalanced.

Adam scratched his antenna thoughtfully,

suggesting that the entire land suffered

from alphabetical misalignment, a disorder

only adventurers could repair.

17

18

chapter 8

THE ALPHABET ALTAR

Eventually they reached the centre

of A-Land where a grand amber altar

stood decorated with amethyst arcs

and watched over by angelic albatross

statues. Above it swirled a storm of

glowing A-words such as aardvark,

apricot and avalanche.

The words spiralled angrily like a chaotic

cloud. Abigail sensed the land was

calling for help. Austin set out apricot

sandwiches to keep everyone nourished

while Adam read the inscription

describing that adventurers united in

affection and agreement must arrange all

things with admirable attention.

The group realised they were chosen to

restore balance.

19

chapter 9

THE A-TEAM AT WORK

With renewed purpose, they began

their task. Amy arranged apples into

perfect arches. Adam organised acorns

and avocados with expert precision.

Austin helped wandering armchairs find

comfortable places.

Anthony tirelessly sorted apricots

racing through small avalanches as they

toppled. Abigail played calming music

on her accordion, soothing the anxious

atmosphere. Gradually, the A-storm above

their heads slowed. Each glowing word

floated downward and found its rightful

position. A sense of peace spread through

the land as order returned.

The altar began to glow warmly, signalling

that their work was nearly complete.

21

chapter 10

RESTORING BALANCE

The gigantic form shone brightly above

the altar. The swirling storm stilled, and

a burst of alphabet magic showered the

land with sparkles.

A-Land sighed as tranquillity settled

across orchards and fields. In that

peaceful moment, a tiny creature shaped

as a glowing letter A approached them.

It thanked the friends, explaining it was

an A-ling representing all who lived in

A-Land.

Without their help the land would have

fallen into chaos. As thanks, the A-ling

gave Amy an amber amulet shaped like

the letter A. She accepted it with joy.

23

24

chapter 11

RETURNING HOME

The A-door reappeared and welcomed

them back to the forest. When they

stepped through, they landed exactly

where their journey had begun. The

forest was calm again.

Birds sang gently, and butterflies

drifted across the clearing. Anthony

stretched proudly while Austin smiled

at their success. Adam wrote notes

eagerly, planning how to describe their

adventure in perfect alphabetical order.

Abigail played a melody of arrival and

peace.

Everything seemed normal until the

amber amulet shimmered unexpectedly

and cast a glowing projection into the

air.

25

26

chapter 12

A NEW ADVENTURE APPEARS

The shimmering map showed every letter

of the alphabet glowing faintly. Adam

gazed in awe while Abigail observed that

each letter marked another portal waiting

to open.

Austin wondered which adventure would

appear next. Amy smiled with excitement

and suggested that today had belonged

to A, but another letter would soon step

forward. Anthony’s eyes sparkled with

the promise of new challenges. They

sat together beneath the apricot tree,

enjoying sandwiches as the sun set in

amber colours.

Far across the alphabet world, the letter

B stirred quietly, preparing for its own

story.

The Alphabet Forest is a series of 26 short books, from the

letter A to the letter Z.

Written by Rev. Doc. Carl Brettle, with a little help from

artificial intelligence, the story takes a child on a journey

of adventure through the entire alphabet.

Every child learns more through inspiration, imagination,

humour and challenge. The stories introduce new

characters in each letter of the alphabet.

By the time they finish the whole series, they will have

learned or been reminded about over 3,000 words.

Enjoy the journey, laugh together, think together and

ultimately learn together as these short stories encourage

us all to build better relationships, and find out about new

animals along the way.
