chapter 1

CURIOUS COMPANIONS BEGIN

Coco chased clouds while Colin calculated

cartwheels.

Cassie circled cheerfully overhead.

Chuckles carried crumbs yet constantly

crashed into tree trunks. Clara clicked

calmly, calling everyone together for

their cheerful challenge. They wanted a

courageous adventure that would change

their character for the better. Cassie

chirped that God cared for every creature,

even curious ones like them. Coco agreed,

although mischievous ideas crowded his

mind. Clara encouraged them to choose

kindness and courage.

With a clap and a cheer, the companions

set out on a charming quest through the

colourful countryside, confident that God

would guide each careful step.

chapter 2

CHUCKLES CAUSES CHAOS

Chuckles charged ahead, carrying a

colossal cone of crunchy chestnuts. Coco

complained that Chuckles created constant

commotion, yet everyone chuckled at his

cheerful clumsiness.

Colin carefully checked Chuckles for cuts,

Cassie comforted him with comforting

chirps, and Clara clicked kindly, reminding

them that caring for one another was part

of God’s good plan. Chuckles confessed he

sometimes felt clumsy compared to the

calm or clever creatures. Clara corrected

him, saying each creature carried a unique

calling. Cheered by her counsel, Chuckles

continued confidently.

Together they continued their colourful

climb toward the centre of the curious

countryside.

chapter 3

COCO’S CHEEKY SHORTCUT

Coco convinced himself that cleverness

counted more than caution.

He crept toward a crooked clearing,

confident his cheeky shortcut would carry

him ahead of the crew. Cassie called

after him, concerned he would cause

complications. Colin calculated that

Coco’s choice could create chaos. Clara

clicked for calm and encouraged everyone

to chase after him. When they caught

Coco, he confessed he chose convenience

over companionship. Cassie comforted

him, reminding him that God cherishes

community.

Coco felt conviction but also courage to

change. He chose to continue with the

group. Together they carried on, closer in

heart and hope.

chapter 4

THE CRASHING CREEK CROSSING

The companions came to a crashing creek.

Its choppy current churned like a chorus of

cymbals.

Chuckles climbed onto the creaky crossing,

causing concerned cries. Coco coached

him to concentrate, Colin counted careful

steps, and Cassie circled comfortingly.

Clara clicked encouragingly, reminding

them to trust God for courage. Chuckles

crossed successfully, though not without

comic wobbling. Cheering loudly, the group

celebrated his courage. Coco confessed he

would have crawled instead. Cassie chirped

that courage comes in all capacities.

Clara smiled as they continued deeper into

the countryside, grateful for the creek that

had challenged and changed them.

chapter 5

COLIN’S CLEVER CLUE

Colin discovered a curled map tucked

beneath a cluster of colourful flowers.

Cassie circled overhead, calling out that

it looked curious. Clara clicked calmly as

she cleared the area. Coco cracked jokes

while Chuckles created circles in the dirt.

Colin concluded the clue pointed toward

a concealed clearing. Cassie chirped

that perhaps God was guiding them.

Clara encouraged everyone to cooperate.

The companions committed to following

Colin’s clever discovery.

With cheerful confidence, they continued

toward the clue’s direction, sensing

something colossal and wonderful

awaited them in the countryside ahead.

chapter 6

THE GIANT C IN THE FOREST

The companions crept cautiously into a

cool, cathedral-like forest. Suddenly,

they gasped.

Before them stood a colossal letter C

carved from cedar, covered in calm green

moss. Coco circled it curiously, Chuckles

climbed it clumsily, Cassie chirped with

excitement, Colin checked its curves, and

Clara clicked reverently. They concluded

it was a creative carving reminding

creatures to choose courage, compassion,

and Christlike character. The forest

seemed to celebrate their discovery with

chirping birds and shimmering light.

Clara encouraged them to carry the

message in their hearts. With cheerful

courage, they continued, changed by the

curious cedar C.

15

16

chapter 7

CASSIE’S CARING CALL

Cassie called the companions together as

she spotted a cluster of creatures crying

near a cracked cocoon.

Clara clicked compassionately. Coco

comforted the tiny creatures as Colin

checked the cocoon carefully. Chuckles

offered crumbs to cheer them. Cassie

reminded them that caring reflects God’s

heart. Together they constructed a cosy

cradle of leaves, creating a calm shelter

for the cocoon. The creatures celebrated

their kindness with grateful chirps.

Clara commended the team for choosing

compassion over convenience.

With hearts warmed and spirits bright,

they continued confidently along their

adventurous path.

17

chapter 8

CLARA CALMS THE STORM

Clouds gathered, and a crashing storm

circled overhead.

Coco complained, Chuckles cowered, and

Cassie cried out. Colin calculated the safest

corner under the canopy. Clara remained

calm and clicked a comforting reminder

that God cares during every challenge. The

companions crowded close, encouraged by

her confidence. The storm chilled the air

but could not crush their courage. When the

clouds cleared, a colourful rainbow curled

across the sky. Chuckles clapped excitedly.

Cassie chirped praise.

Clara encouraged them to carry gratitude as

they continued deeper into the countryside,

strengthened by the calm God provided.

chapter 9

CHUCKLES’ COURAGEOUS CLIMB

A steep cliff confronted the companions.

Chuckles sighed, convinced he could

not climb without catastrophe. Coco

cheered him on, Colin checked the rope’s

condition, and Cassie circled courageously

overhead. Clara clicked that courage grows

when creatures trust God. Chuckles took

careful steps, clutching the rope. Halfway

up he considered quitting, but Cassie

called confidently and Colin counted

his progress. With a final courageous

pull, Chuckles reached the crest. The

companions celebrated with cheerful cries.

Chuckles felt changed, confident he

could conquer challenges he once feared.

Together they continued their colourful

quest.

chapter 10

COCO’S CHOICE TO CHANGE

Coco gazed into a calm, crystal-clear

pond.

His reflection confronted him with all

his cheeky habits. Cassie circled close

and Clara clicked kindly, reminding

him that God cares and gladly changes

hearts. Coco confessed he sometimes

caused complications because he craved

attention. Colin comforted him, saying

character grows through choices.

Chuckles chimed in with cheerful

encouragement. Coco chose to change,

committing to courage, compassion, and

cooperation.

The companions celebrated as they

continued along the path, proud of Coco’s

growing character.

23

24

chapter 11

THE CELEBRATION CLEARING

The companions reached a celebration

clearing filled with chirping creatures.

Candles crafted from coconuts cast a

cosy glow.

Cassie carried cheerful songs through

the air. Colin contributed clever

stories. Coco cracked jokes that

caused contagious chuckles. Chuckles

performed comical cartwheels. Clara

clicked in gratitude, reminding everyone

that God’s care had carried them from

the beginning to this beautiful clearing.

The creatures cheered together,

celebrating courage, compassion, and

friendship. As the night cooled, the

companions felt closer than ever.

chapter 12

COMING HOME CHANGED

As the companions crossed the final

meadow, Clara clicked a gentle reminder

that every adventure carries lessons.

Cassie chirped that God had cared for

them constantly. Colin concluded they had

grown in character. Chuckles celebrated

his courage, and Coco confessed he now

cherished community more than clever

shortcuts. Together, they carried home the

message of the colossal forest C, choosing

courage, compassion, and Christlike

hearts. Their countryside home welcomed

them with calm evening light.

With cheerful confidence, they knew they

were changed creatures ready to share

God’s care and kindness wherever they

journeyed next.

The Alphabet Forest is a series of 26 short books, from the

letter A to the letter Z.

Written by Rev. Doc. Carl Brettle, with a little help from

artificial intelligence, the story takes a child on a journey

of adventure through the entire alphabet.

Every child learns more through inspiration, imagination,

humour and challenge. The stories introduce new

characters in each letter of the alphabet.

By the time they finish the whole series, they will have

learned or been reminded about over 3,000 words.

Enjoy the journey, laugh together, think together and

ultimately learn together as these short stories encourage

us all to build better relationships, and find out about new

animals along the way.
