My Mandala

A Workshop for Children

Join local artist Lou Endicott as you create

your own colourful and fun mandala.

Mandalas are circular geometric art

patterns that are found in many different

cultures across the world. Children will

draw a circular motif that symbolises

themselves and learn how to make a

mandala that is not only beautiful to look

at but a relaxing experience to create.

Mini Koinobori

Koinobori, meaning ‘carp streamer’ in

Japanese, is a traditional craft made

in Japan to celebrate Children’s Day

(Kodomo no Hi). The carp streamers are

made to decorate the town and celebrate

the perseverance, vitality, and health of

young Japanese boys. Now that we know

the meaning of them, let’s start making

our own! How creative can you get?
