PERFECTION.
At Jerich Industries in Sinabelkirchen, eastern Styria,
our new production site features three identical
robotic systems with a total of nine robots and an
end-of-line inspection system.
At our plants, we manufacture Protex
plates for vehicle batteries – precisely
tailored to various types of electric
vehicles and available in short, medium
and long versions. They perform a
key safety function: in the event of a
battery fire, they delay the spread of
heat and protect the passenger compartment
for at least five minutes – in
accordance with European standard
UN/ECE R100.
This stands for the highest quality
and safety in electric mobility.

PERFECTION DOWN
TO THE LAST DETAIL.
The base plates are pressed, laminated
and punched externally. In Sinabelkirchen,
we continue the value chain:
1.
In the plant, robots gently pick up
the panels using vacuum suction
cups. A camera system precisely
detects the position, while the software
calculates correction values
and controls the exact application.
2.
Our KUKA KRC 5 robots apply
foam beads, spacers and labels
with maximum precision – repeatable
to within a tenth of a millimetre.
3.
After application, the plates are automatically
checked: our employees
carry out a visual inspection, and
the end-of-line testing system completes
the final inspection, including
photo documentation.
4.
Finally, the tested Protex panels
are packed into GLT boxes and
prepared for transport.
