Author’s Note<br />
It was hardly a couple of years ago that I<br />
first saw <strong>Dr</strong>. C L <strong>Patel</strong> in the central office<br />
of Charutar Vidya Mandal. A red divine<br />
mark on the forehead, white attire and<br />
white beard! It was July 16, 2008. After<br />
meeting <strong>Dr</strong>. C L <strong>Patel</strong>, I said to Shri Hari,<br />
“He looks like a Rishi (Seer)…”<br />
I didn’t know much about <strong>Dr</strong>. C L <strong>Patel</strong> at that<br />
time but his extraordinary personality had<br />
left an ever lasting impression on me. My<br />
bringing-up, education and a career as a<br />
journalist-writer had shaped up in Mumbai.<br />
Then I stayed in Ahmedabad and<br />
Gandhinagar. During this time, I might have<br />
heard the name of Charutar Vidya Mandal<br />
and <strong>Dr</strong>. C L <strong>Patel</strong> but never had an<br />
opportunity to meet him. And once the<br />
opportunity came, I realized that he is one of<br />
such personalities that one never forgets<br />
after meeting once.<br />
He invited Shri Hari to join Charutar Vidya<br />
Mandal and we embraced Vidyanagar. We<br />
settled in Vallabh Vidyanagar. Then many<br />
