SIMPLY THE BEST

“I have the simplest tastes. I am always satisfied with the best.” This quote is attributed to Oscar Wilde. As connoisseurs,

we are in utter agreement with him of course. Satisfaction with what has been achieved, however, is not an option

for people and companies who strive to create 'the best' – that is, top-class quality and lifestyle – for their customers.

This is not a debatable point. “The times, they are changin’” – and whoever wants to stay at the top should also make

the claim to be getting better all the time. This claim is tradition at GlobeAir. Moreover, it leads with unremitting

strength (as you will read about in this issue) to brand new benchmarks in the categories of comfort, luxury, flexibility

and services for clients. Which means, by the way, for your benefit.

With the self-same motivational thrust, designers, fashion-brands, home furnishings companies, handcraftsmen and

services in various professions are working to make your lives as pleasant as possible. As are real estate professionals,

who in this issue present one of the most spectacular properties in Europe. A few examples from this edition: a wellknown

designer who has managed to “translate” the philosophy of a clubhouse on the Arlberg into a brilliant interior;

or an architect, who generates fascinating synergies out of interior spaces, architecture and art; or else a studio

which defines and extends the meaning of high-quality interior architecture as far as the furthest horizon reaches.

Above and beyond these galvanizing achievements we also report about the latest colour trends and furniture collections

for both indoors and outdoors. What truly impressed us: the jewellery collections produced by a goldsmith

in ultimate hand-crafted artisanship; or a fashion brand which makes us fit for sport and for performance and for

lifestyle. On the other hand, pure and simple relaxation and enjoyment of the pleasures of nature are promised by

innovative garden architecture concepts; while the stellar health destination of the future lies in custom-made solutions

for sustainable well-being. Resorts in Kitzbühel, Crete, or Mallorca also dedicate themselves to the well-being

of body and soul at the highest level.

You'll also find insights on: a yacht charter company which guarantees incomparably beautiful times, in every sense

of the word, on the high seas; about a yacht icon, which is elegantly manoeuvring itself into the future with its very

first electric model; about an oldtimer rallye, which leads traditionally over the most beautiful roads of the Alps; and

about a Swiss art fair, which top connoisseurs and collectors acknowledge as a veritable international highlight.

We wish you wonderful reading entertainment... and a pleasant flight.

With best regards,

Walter & Etha Taferner

PROVIDING THRUST OF

300 KW AT THE TOP END,

THE PARKER GVM310

LENDS THE RIVA A

CRUISING SPEED OF

25 KNOTS AND A

SELF-IMPOSED TOP

SPEED OF 40 KNOTS.

The name Riva awakens a heartthrob not

only among boating enthusiasts. The historic, earlier

wooden Rivas (which in the interim are no longer

produced) were passionately loved runabouts

of the international jet set, with Gunter Sachs and

Brigitte Bardot leading the crowd. The Aquaramas,

Tritones and Aristons belonged unmistakably, irresistibly

and for all eternity in the illustrious annals

of maritime history and are now relegated to the

history books. Through developing the El-Iseo, the

Italian shipbuilder Riva finally placed the primevally

typical V8 bubblers in the past, then refined and

produced a fully electric version of their muchloved

Iseo, a 27-foot runabout, first making it then

launching it, following its premiere, into a sparkling

new future in a mature-market.

Picture: © Riva / Leonardo Andreoni Fotografo

The El-Iseo is powered by Parker Hannifin, a leading

U.S. concern for power-train and navigation

technology, and offers a highly distinguished performance

in the field of speed and acceleration.

Providing thrust of 300 kW at the top end, the Parker

GVM310 lends the Riva a cruising speed of 25

knots and a self-imposed top speed of 40 knots. It

is well worth noting that the acceleration curve is

significantly steeper than that of a similar sized boat

with a combustion engine.

TEN HOURS IN E-MODE

The El-Iseo is outfitted with a lithium battery package

which was produced by Podium Advanced

Technologies, one of the leading specialists for

batteries, automobile design and motor transport,

now generating products in the field of yachting for

the first time through its association with Riva. The

batteries which were specially developed for this

particular project in the El-Iseo have a capacity of

150 kWh and are fitted into two independent blocks

between the motor and the rear seat. The integration

of board systems such as transmission, butterfly

control valves and general board-control systems

including the management of driving modus and

battery-loading modus, was assigned to Xenta, a

partner of the Ferretti Group and, thereby, also of

Riva Shipbuilders.

ANDANTE OR ADAGIO?

On board the El-Iseo, you immediately recognise the

two souls which are beating inside the ship. There

are, to start with, unmistakable surfaces which are

typical for the boats and which have made this brand

world famous, yet equally inconspicuous is the

helmstand with its inimitable fully digital touchscreen

dashboard, mimicking the analogue dials of earlier

days. Even the monikers for the three driving modes

– Allegro, Andante and Adagio, the designations for

varying tempo in classical music – play upon tradition,

something which has been a wellspring of Riva

boats since time immemorial.

Like all Riva creations, also the new Riva El-Iseo stems

from the creative minds of Mauro Micheli and Sergio

Beretta, founders of the Officina Italiana Design,

in collaboration with the Strategic Product Committee

under the direction of Piero Ferrari and the

Engineering Department of the Ferretti Group. The

Riva El-Iseo is, incidentally, the very first fully electric

motorboat which has received the RINA certification

in Category B (for windspeeds up to and including

eight metres and significant wave heights of four

metres), something which for boats of this type, due

to their size and configuration, is awarded only rarely.

MMax

Verstappen is no stranger to speed. On and off the track, the

Dutch-Belgian-born driver lives his life according to guiding principles

of fearlessness and dynamic courage. Energy and style are now one

step closer together, as the four-time F1 ® world champion is taking on

a different kind of high-powered world – that of fashion. In February,

the Red Bull-backed racer was announced as the Official Global Brand

Ambassador for AlphaTauri, the fashion brand founded by Red Bull

that offers sophisticated fashion with a particular focus on quality and

design innovations. This new chapter is guided by style: AlphaTauri designs

fashion with a purpose – equal parts function and fashion. With

Verstappen as the face of the brand, that narrative hits the accelerator.

“It’s great to be an ambassador for AlphaTauri. I see it as one big family

– in a way – with the link to Red Bull,” Verstappen says, donning a signature

AlphaTauri two-piece performance-stretch look. “Their commitment

to combine style with functionality fits perfectly with my lifestyle,

both on and off the track.”

With the 2025 F1 ® season well under way, and with Max Verstappen

set to jet to 24 different race locations worldwide this year, decked

in AlphaTauri’s signature streamlined aesthetic. “I’ve been wearing the

clothing for a while and I’m very excited to see what’s coming next. For

me, to be able to wear stylish clothing on and around the track, and

back at home, is just fantastic.”

Whether he's heading to dinner in Tokyo after a race, or on the

go to a track, Max Verstappen is excited to embody the AlphaTauri

spirit – which is versatility and functionality embodied: “Honestly,

I wear it everywhere I go!”

ONCE YOU REALISE

HOW COMPETITIVE YOU ARE,

YOU SET A BIT OF A TARGET,

BUT THAT’S TOO EARLY

TO SAY.

For AlphaTauri, the collaboration is a natural and ergonomic

partnership. Combining fashion with the

functional properties of sportswear, and with a focus

on quality and elegance, AlphaTauri brings a dose of

functional style to F1 ® . “Max Verstappen embodies

excellence and passion,” states Kalle Lauterbach,

Red Bull’s Global Consumer Products CEO. Isabelle

Mi-A Ko, Global Head of AlphaTauri, chimes in: “As a

premium fashion lifestyle brand, we are combining

sports and fashion. Our collections ensure all-day

comfort and style, and Max Verstappen is the perfect

representation of that.”

With sports and style moving ever closer, AlphaTauri

is tapping the growing wave of stylish athletes, in a

power move that emboldens and gives the designs

even more meaning. With the racewear aesthetic

dominating the fashion world, it’s time for Max Verstappen

to define his own era in style and sophistication.

With a new teammate – Liam Lawson – and a fresh

season ahead, Verstappen is keeping his focus balanced

between fashion shoots and starting grids.

“I’m excited for a new season with AlphaTauri. Last

year we had a lot of highs and some challenges,” he

explains. “I hope we can be a little more stable, a little

more all-around this season.” That being said, success

is always just around the corner – as his track

record proves. “Winning four world titles has been

a dream,” he adds. “More than a dream, I’d say. I’m

relaxed, I’m just looking forward to seeing how competitive

we can be this year. Once you realise how

competitive you are, you set a bit of a target, but

that’s too early to say.”

Whether that means another title or simply another

sleek AlphaTauri look on the grid – Max Verstappen, it

seems, is in prime position either way.

THE DNA OF POLIFORM.

TThis is a galvanizing new high point in the long years of collaboration

between the renowned Italian furniture manufacturer and the top

residence furnishers known far beyond the borders of Tirol. Tradition

is more than a bellwether, its high value persists for both companies,

and in this new chapter it is precisely that which is assigned a marquis

virtue.

WHOLENESS AS FOCAL POINT

Even Poliform founder and CEO Alberto Spinelli and his daughter

Gaia Spinelli are visibly enthusiastic about the new studio in Austria.

Extending over an interior space of no less than 600 square metres,

visitors immerse into a veritable adventure for all five senses, into a

world where all aspects of daily life and living are on display, revealed

anew. The beauty of an all-encompassing approach is something

which lies deeply embedded in the DNA of Poliform: it prizes itself

as all-round provider of constellations in luxurious residences ranging

over a stylish kitchen all the way to an elegantly appointed

sleeping zone including its own dressing room. The workmanship

is achieved without compromise, the extraordinary materials and

characteristic style are what make Poliform to a stunning galaxy

which cannot be mistaken for any other in the universe, for it is truly

unique. “We are elated about our long years of connection and collaboration

with the enterprising Spinelli family. In the interim they have

developed into relations of friendship and united us in our common

striving towards quality and individuality,” says Martin Wetscher full

of pride.

FFor those who travel frequently, having a private jet

at their disposal offers unmatched convenience. Yet

full ownership comes with high costs, maintenance

responsibilities, and operational complexities. Now,

GlobeAir’s Fractional Ownership Programme offers

a smarter way to fly – providing all the advantages

of ownership without the burdens.

This programme allows travellers to secure guaranteed

flight hours on a brand-new Cessna Citation M2

Gen2, ensuring efficient, reliable, and on-demand

travel across Europe. Whether for business or

personal trips, fractional ownership provides a costeffective

and seamless alternative, making private

aviation more accessible than ever.

FLEXIBILITY

WITHOUT COMPROMISE

GlobeAir’s Fractional Ownership model removes

the logistical challenges of full ownership while

giving shareholders full control over their travel

schedule. With no blackout dates, peak-day premiums,

or repositioning fees, every flight is ready

when needed.

Unlike chartering, where availability can fluctuate,

fractional ownership guarantees access. Owners

know exactly how many hours they have each year,

with a fixed monthly management fee covering

all operational costs, including maintenance, insurance,

and pilot salaries. There are no unexpected

charges – just a straightforward, predictable way to

fly privately.

THE CITATION M2 GEN2

The Cessna Citation M2 Gen2 is built for efficiency,

comfort, and accessibility. With a cruise speed of

748 km/hr and a range of 2,871 km, it easily connects

major European destinations with non-stop

flights, such as London to Rome or Paris to Athens.

Once again in 2025, participants can await with bated

breath a classic rallye conducted at the highest imagin-

able level accompanied by a steeplechase enterprise

on the most beautiful roads of the Alps. Besides classic

old timers dating up to the year 1975, there will also

be a limited Young Timer & Exotic Cars Class in the

upcoming edition in which iconic automobile models

can take part without any limitations on when the car

was built.

A CLASSIC RALLYE WITH

INCOMPARABLE PANORAMAS

This time as well, you can look forward to three impressive

starts. On Thursday, 05 th June 2025, the pro-

logue of the adventure unrolls. On Friday, 06 th June, the

“Großglockner” will again be tackled and conquered.

The crowning conclusion will be spotlighted on

Saturday, 07 th June, a tour through the picturesque

Lake Chiemsee region before the field of participants

receives its final acclaim in the inner city of Kitzbühel.

FOUR CLASSES OF EVALUATION

As in the previous years, four classes will be evaluated:

Sport Plus, Sport, Classic and Youngtimer & Exotic

Cars. While the overall victory will still be the achievement

of classic, analogue-measured evaluations and

tests, fans of newer sports cars and future classics

will also be given an opportunity to participate: in the

group known as “Young Timers & Exotic Cars” there

are no limitations in the evaluations and tests; in this

event, it is experience and driving fun which stand in

the foreground.

Characteristic, authentic and yet understated:

the two owners Benjamin Schneider and Patrick

Krummenacher, who planned the project together

with Jürgen Kitzmüller Architektur, had

concrete ideas early on as to how they wanted

to implement this in a well-thought-out interior

design with flowing transitions – both architecturally

and in terms of colour. The focus was on

harmoniously combining the restaurant and bar

with the club in the basement and the concept

store on the top floor. The result was a concept

based on the use of high-quality natural materials,

combined with an earthy, rich colour palette

that changes in its colour nuances with each floor,

but always remains true to itself. The result is an

atmosphere that arouses curiosity through its variance

and at the same time radiates cosiness – and

thus describes what the Club House stands for: a

place where you want to stay. The Bernd Gruber

Kitzbühel team has managed with great sensitivity

to combine tradition and modernity in perfect

balance – and to give the new a familiar soul.

THE APPEAL OF INTERACTION

Every detail testifies to masterful craftsmanship:

milled, burnished aluminium, curved high-gloss

ceiling elements made of fine walnut wood, artistic

metal fillings, timeless oak floors, high-quality

textile coverings and wall designs with fine wallpaper.

In addition, there are bronzed mirrors with

bevelled edges and precisely crafted elements

made of various types of travertine – materials that

ground the room, allow you to pause and at the

same time convey a Mediterranean lightness.

The variety of details and materials reflects the

his absolutely breathtaking property is

located inside the city limits of Berlin,

borders immediately on Potsdam, and is

a paradigm in every knowable way. The

culmination of the entire property and

high point of the island of Schwanenwerder

is its vast park – the building lot is 10,724m 2

large – offering a private lakeside shoreline, a pier, a

docking zone and an impeccable southwest-facing

exposition, giving it a nearly surreal framework.

A living surface area of approximately 1490m 2

distributed over two buildings opens numerous

options for use and a variety of possible applications:

as a private villa, a company’s outer estate

(as bounteous as it gets) or a venue for lavish,

exclusive get-togethers. It is modestly known as

“Hauptdeck.” Anyone casting a glance at this gem

will never forget it.

THE ISLAND

OF SCHWANENWERDER …

... gleams picturesquely in Lake Wannsee, connected

with the shore by a bridge. The metropolis

of Berlin is just a stone’s throw away. Thanks to

favourable accessibility to the inner city, Kurfürsten-

damm can be reached in about 20 minutes. The

villa is located on the highly desirable western side

of the island, directly facing the Wannsee shoreline.

As a result of its unusually long, private water-

front and immaculate exposition for sunshine, unforgettable

panoramas of the open waters are unveiled

to view, including spectacular sunsets and

a maximum private sphere. In clear weather the

panorama reaches all the way to historic Schloss

Belvedere in Potsdam. Schwanenwerder forges a

combination of nature and city life in inimitable

fashion. Its location, coupled with timeless elegance

and modern furnishings of the villa, make this estate

an incomparable, irreplicable zenith.

THE ARCHITECTURE OF

THE PROPERTY …

... extends wildly beyond conventional borders of

the imagination, in fact, it is art. Responsible for

this are Graft architects. Established in 1998 in Los

Angeles, this group numbers among the most innovative

all over the world. With business locations

in Berlin and Shanghai, Graft Architects pursues an

interdisciplinary approach to its metier, connecting

architecture, design and city planning. For that

reason, it is considered to be one of the worldwide

pioneers in contemporary architecture.

THROUGH

HIGHLY EFFICIENT

SOLAR PANELS, THE

ENERGY CONCEPT

NEARLY REACHES

COMPLETE

SELF-SUFFICIENCY.

The building itself breaks with all normal images

of what can be expected by architecture. Boldly

stacked cubes seem to melt into one another and

vast glass fronts open wide to the lake, merging in

a truly future-presaging design to an indescribable

edifice: futuristic from the outside, cosy and comfortable

on the inside, emanating ineffable feelings

of well-being. Parts of the architecture seem to

grope freely into space; the terraces and projections

recall commando bridges and sun decks of

a luxury yacht. Curves and rounded lines interrupt

the linearity. And all of the visual impressions are

amplified by the gentle slope on which the edifice

stands, into which the house seems nearly

to immerse itself. The main house rests upon an

L-shaped anchoring foundation which reinforces

the structural engineering. The enormous glass

surfaces looking out over the lake can withstand

windspeeds of 220 km/hr and, on top of that, are

rounded themselves, a masterpiece. In addition,

the building is conceived as a Faraday cage (an

enclosed-into-itself electric shield). The comprehensive

security concept is planned and executed

down to the final minute details, containing refined

features extending all the way to an emergency

power plant. Add to that a trendsetting, downright

epochal energy concept which foresees heating

and cooling by means of earth-warmth pump plus

a solar power assemblage and a block-type thermal

power station. Through highly efficient solar

panels, the energy concept nearly reaches complete

self-sufficiency.

All in all, this estate combines sovereign lightness

with cosmopolitan extravagance, it makes indelible

impressions on every imagination as a statement

of unpretentious luxury, maximum privacy

and absolute security.

Schloss Thürn is an awe-inspiring estate not far

from the picturesque Lake Wörthersee in Carinthia,

ensconced in the idyllic landscapes of the Lavanttal

Alps. Historically documented for the first time in

the year 1243, this exceptional property draws

together both genuine historical elegance and

modern technology with lavish and luxurious living

comfort. Thanks to wide-ranging restoration and

renovation efforts, the castle has been lovingly outfitted,

among other things, with intelligent in-house

technology as well as the very latest in infrastructure

which provide sustainable energy and modern

safety at one and the same time.

The opulent salons, the exclusive library, the luxurious

bedrooms with bathrooms en suite and

an absolutely first-class well-being area generate

once-in-a-lifetime experiences of being alive and

on top of the world. Historic elements such as

artistic stucco ceilings, impressive wall frescoes

and artistically handcrafted ornamentation were

fastidiously retained through the renovations and

integrated into the modern design. The ambience

was ultimately rounded out with high-end materials,

custom-made furniture and highly atmosphereenhancing

lighting fixtures which meld the charms

of past epochs with the living comforts of today.

The castle offers not only exclusive living spaces,

but also a plethora of possibilities for their use –

whether as a private sanctuary and hideaway, as

a representative location for lustrous events, or as

a creative working refuge. Through its heightened

location, breathtaking views over the valley and Lake

Wörthersee are guaranteed. The spacious terraces

and garden zones entice one and all to linger awhile,

they provide ideal conditions for stylish receptions

or relaxing hours in the midst of splendid nature.

The far-reaching lands belonging to the castle

comprise no less than 36,611 m 2 and include wine

vineyards, gardens, agricultural fields and forests.

Sustainability is the centrepiece of this ensemble:

environmentally friendly heating and cooling systems,

regional building materials and landscape

architecture of the gardens which minimizes their

ecological footprint. The estate also possesses its

very own water source, which assures you endless

water and contributes to a self-sustaining lifestyle.

In spite of its idyllic seclusion, Wolfsberg and Klagenfurt

are easily accessible. A nearby private airfield

and helicopter landing place guarantee additional

flexibility for international guests. The region offers

a bounteous balance of nature, culture and exalted,

high-end lifestyle. Numerous leisure possibilities

such as hiking, golfing and water sports ensure

days full of diversity/activity just as you wish to live

them, in exclusive surroundings.

Schloss Thürn is a truly rare opportunity to acquire

an architectural masterpiece with a richly embellished

history. It is a symbiosis of tradition and

modernity which will retain its treasured values for

generations.

THE CONSIDERATE CONNECTION OF

UNDERSTATED AND UNDERRATED

With over 15 years of experience, Robert Stephan has earned international

recognition for crafting unique, highly curated spaces. Renowned

for his expertise in vintage design and contemporary collectibles,

he masterfully fuses different design eras, creating interiors

of exceptional depth and sophistication. His reputation for refined

eclecticism led him to collaborate with fashion entrepreneur and now

business partner Peter Schlagböhmer on his two private homes. Their

shared passion for extraordinary design and rare objects inspired them

to bring an exclusive selection of collectible design to the Germanspeaking

market.

THE ROPE | STUDIO:

ONE-OF-A-KIND REFINED INTERIORS

At The Rope | Studio, each project embodies timeless sophistication,

seamlessly blending architecture, materiality, and bespoke design.

The studio offers a fully integrated approach to interior design – from

spatial planning and material selection to custom-built elements and

meticulously sourced furniture. With an uncompromising dedication

to craftsmanship and individuality, The Rope | Studio creates interiors

that are both deeply personal and extraordinarily refined.

The transformation of a 1970s bungalow in Munich underscores The

Rope | Studio’s dedication to redefining spatial experiences. Originally

characterised by stark minimalism, the home was reimagined through

thoughtful materiality and expertly curated furnishings. Warm wooden

panelling in the entrance and standout pieces from George Nakashima,

Rick Owens, and Vladimir Kagan infused the space with intimacy and

character. The result is a residence that retains its architectural integrity

while radiating modern Americana's inviting essence.

One striking residence was transformed into a relaxed, Californiainspired

exquisite vintage pieces with contemporary craftsmanship,

The Rope | Studio created a harmonious space exuding effortless

sophistication. The furniture selection, featuring design legends such

as Pierre Guariche, Pierre Chapo, and Charlotte Perriand, was complemented

by an Osvaldo Borsani vintage armchair. A rare Jean Prouvé

aluminum door with porthole windows adds architectural intrigue

while connecting the library to the living space.

David Chipperfield’s architecture set the stage for an extraordinary

home, while The Rope | Studio infused it with a masterful interior concept

– thoughtfully curated, yet effortlessly livable. Balancing respect

for Chipperfield’s vision with creative freedom, the studio blended

rare vintage treasures with contemporary icons. A standout piece was

Renzo Schirolli’s ultra-rare desk – lost at auction but later discovered

elsewhere. Sculptural works by Daniel Arsham and McCollin Bryan

added artistic depth, while warm oak, walnut, and soft linen created

a tactile sense of comfort. Every element was chosen to enhance

the daily experience, ensuring the space remained elegant yet welcoming.

More than a showcase of design, the home became a living

Complementing the established interior design studio, The Rope

Gallery serves as a destination for design connoisseurs to explore an

expertly curated selection of rare vintage objects and contemporary

pieces. Regularly rotating exhibitions feature exceptional works from

20th-century masters and today’s leading creators, making the gallery

a must-visit in Munich. From Pierre Chapo's modernist masterpieces

to the sculptural designs of Christophe Côme and Arno Declercq, the

gallery upholds a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and substance.

The founders, Robert Stephan, Vicky, and Peter

Schlagböhmer, bring their shared passion for

interior and collectible design to life through The

Rope’s distinctive gallery and studio concept.

Together The Rope | Studio and The Rope | Gallery redefine collectible

design, seamlessly integrating history and modernity into curated

This year’s presentation of Art Basel has been awaited with a surge

of anticipation. It will boast 289 leading international art galleries

from 42 countries and territories which will be brought together

to exhibit outstanding works in all the various media, ranging from

painting and sculpture all the way to photography and digital art.

In 2025, eighteen new galleries from Europe, Asia and America will

be welcomed in order to provide brand-new perspectives and extend

the global reach of the art fair even further. Among the newcomers,

two will participate directly in the main sector of galleries

– Arcadia Missa (London) and François Ghebaly (Los Angeles, New

York), whereas 14 galleries will be represented for the first time in

the sectors Feature and Statements.

EXTRAORDINARY DIVERSITY

The artistic creators represented at the fair cover a wide spectrum,

from trailblazing pioneers of modern art in the early 20 th century

to visionary contemporary talents. Art Basel will thereby reinforce,

once again, its unchallenged position as the leading event in the

worldwide art market, as a global centrepiece for discoveries, networking

and the driving force in the international art world.

completed by a series of dynamic events unfolding throughout the

city of Basel which draw in the most renowned cultural institutions.

This programme heightens the cultural eminence of the city in the

spotlight and makes unmistakably clear how profound an effect Art

Basel exercises on its home city, thereby raising Basel’s significance

as an incomparable cultural destination.

A POWERFUL CULTURAL PLATFORM

Maike Cruse, Director of Art Basel says: "I am excited to once again

welcome the global art world to our flagship event in June. Art

Basel 2025 promises to be a defining moment, showcasing a diverse

range of extraordinary artworks, sparking international dialogue,

and reinforcing its position as one of the most influential

the return of Parcours, and a stunning immersive installation by

Katharina Grosse, Art Basel continues to be a powerful platform for

discovery and a driving force for cultural exchange, innovation, and

artistic expression."

A particular highlight of the art fair is the new sector with the moniker

“Premiere” which offers art galleries a platform in order to present

up to three trendsetting artists/creators who will show works

from the last five years. Premiere makes it possible for visitors to

discover new and innovative artistic positions.

SPECIAL SECTORS

The renowned sector known as “Parcours” will return, once again

curated by Stefanie Hessler, Directress of the Swiss Institute in

New York. Another spectacular highlight will be the illustrious artist

Katharina Grosse, who with her spray technique will transform the

grounds of the Messe and their surrounding structures into a vivid,

vibrating, highly colourful landscape. The sector known as “Unlimited”

– curated by Giovanni Carmine, Director of the Kunsthalle in

St. Gallen, will once again provide a platform for large-scale installations

and performances which would be inconceivable in the

framework of a traditional gallery.

The Baloise Art Prize, endowed with 30,000 CHF, will be awarded

on 26 th May in the sector known as “Statements” to as many as two

creators. In addition, Baloise Werke will secure the distinguished

winners for a gift bestowal to two leading European museums that

will subsequently dedicate a solo exhibition to the prize winners.

newest luxury-wellbeing destination designed to

offer prestige personalisation in every aspect of its

guest experience.

To formulate it in the words of Gina Mamidaki, the

visionary CEO behind this project: “Nao came into

being as the purely natural answer to a universal

call for a happier and healthier world – the concept

genuinely embodies our profound engagement

in the demanding spheres of care, sustainability,

innovation and excellence which have developed

over the course of more than 50 years. Through a

deeply rooted belief system, Nao redefines longevity

by blending scientific longevity science with

ancient wisdom.

A NEW ERA FOR LONGEVITY

At the heart of Minos Palace Resort, whose splendid

site is a secluded private peninsula with 360° views

of the Aegean, Nao is destined to provide inspiration

for the ongoing evolution of a newborn lifestyle.

Designed for transformation, it offers sensory-rich

spaces that immerse guests in an environment crafted

to awaken the senses and encourage self-discovery.

Here, the surroundings themselves become

an integral part of the journey, reinforcing wellbeing

through design, nature, and intentional curation.

Derived from the ancient Greek meaning “to flow,”

Nao symbolises harmony and continuous transformation.

Its centrepiece is a groundbreaking approach

to wellbeing which targets the 12 hallmarks

of ageing, encompassing fundamental biological

processes which drive the passage of time. Guests

thereby receive support in both the temporal extension

of their lives and the qualitative enhancement

of their health.

Each and every Nao journey is guided by four lodestars,

the major pillars which bear wellbeing: nutrition,

sleep, movement and self-mastery. For each

of these, measures are undertaken which focus on

certain aspects of the 12 hallmarks of ageing. Together

they constitute an integrated path to wellbeing

which addresses body, mindset and emotional

health both carefully and precisely.

SCIENTIFIC UNDERPINNING,

HIGHLY PERSONAL METHODS

The first step in the Nao method is to communicate

to the guests a deeper understanding of their own

health and wellbeing. This process begins even

before their arrival when guests fill out a detailed

questionnaire and uncover their initial prognostics.

This provides the basis for the planning of their own

highly personal journey. Upon arrival, further tests

coupled with expert consultations culminate in

a comprehensive analysis of their state of health.

These tests are based on latest knowledge and

As

far back

as two years ago, those warm earthy shades could

be felt to vibrate all around us. But 2025 is the

moment when we are reaching out full force and

heartwarmingly for the whole palette of natural

colours which are simply predestined to generate

a deep-down feeling of well-being at home. The

additional thought of sweet nothings to pamper us

a further degree is not far removed from this inspiration,

especially if a gossamer sheen of caramel,

cacao and cappuccino lies perched over this

living environment series. The approach is intelligent

in any case, since one simply never gets

tired of these hues and so ends up enjoying

them twice-over.

COLOURS WITH CHARACTER

More and more people feel the inner need

to connect deeper and deeper with nature,

they wish for additional ground contact instead

of abstract up-in-the-air lightness in their immediate

living surroundings. This stroke of genius was

taken up by the American Pantone Institute insofar

as it placed its bets on “Mocha Mousse”. Refined,

copious, opulent, nevertheless simple and classic at

the same time: the countless nuances and facets

of brown which all play important roles in our lives,

presenting themselves in modest and earthbound

ways yet extending all the way up to aspiring and

luxurious.

DESIGN WITH SOUL

As regards the materials, a well-known trend is also

continued here: naturalness needs to place its signature

on interior living. In this vein, the recent trend

of furniture manufacturers towards natural stone,

wood and leather is downright obligatory. Simultaneously,

wonderful possibilities open up which shift

and focus human gaze stronger than ever before

towards truly competent handcraftsmanship. The

art of talented if not ingenious creation reveals itself

in meticulously worked surfaces, in highly sophisticated

details such as ornamental seams, folds and

other technical intricacies, but also in the basic

approach to the material itself, namely, where and for what purpose it

is used, so that it can present its very best qualities and characteristics.

And that is the aspect which often surprises even the connoisseurs.

LIVING IN LARGESSE

It might also be noted that a new movement of “preferably larger, not

smaller” furniture pieces has moved in. On the one hand, this is partly

a function of innovative rounded lines which determine the modernday

contours, this cannot be overlooked. These pieces simply require

more room. On the other hand, a desire for full-fledged comfort, for

living our lives to the fullest has returned to the forefront, in other

words, to let loose at home, where life really counts. For example, in a

sofa which goes on and on; or in a vast easy-chair. That is where you

can truly recover after a long, hard day of work. This feeling of wellbeing,

of familiarity and secluded comfort is borne on the shoulders

of organic furniture forms which hug you like a loved one. And that

applies equally to an elegant ensemble of stylish furniture as well as to

tiny side tables and chairs which, all in all, at least for this current year,

easily survive without any sharp angles and corners.

LIGHT RADIATES PASSION

Also the lighting displays are becoming opulent, so that lighting in

no way can get relegated to the sidelines or to an ancillary role. And

so, decorative lights and chandeliers also take up lots of space in the

coming season, and we mean that literally. Striking, flamboyant, eyecatching

lighting fixtures are becoming the centrepiece of salons. Or

else artistic pieces which nicely illuminate a staircase or give an acute

accent to the entrance foyer. Polish and glittering brilliance are the

right and proper messengers for the entire furnishings industry, which

plans to bring private living to new resplendence in precisely this way.

out of nothing, surroundings are born which not only fascinate,

but also offer an equal measure of protective refuge and calm. The

rooms which are generated through these principles are not just

functional, they are profoundly artistic and emotionally inspiring.

They create an ineffable atmosphere which entices one to come

and abide for a while, similar to a protective cloak which is draped

over everyday life.

ARCHITECTURE – VISIONARY

ROOMS WITH UNSHAKEABLE SUBSTANCE

The architecture of Dipl. Architect Thomas Mang is a genuine expression

of visionary creativity and precision handcraftsmanship.

This is the crossroads where a clear, elegant language of forms

meets up with in-depth passion for details and extraordinary materials

– each and every architectural project of this studio pursues

the goal of embodying timeless elegance and functionality in an

aura of refined aesthetic splendour. The rooms which are generated

in this fashion are far more than mere building structures. They

are places which tell their own tales, and which invite one and all to

discover them. Each element, each and every line, the panoply of

materials, everything has been uncovered for this purpose, for this

environment, in order to reinforce the bounteous harmony of the

whole, so that both the practical needs of the residents are considered

and aesthetic wishes are fulfilled. The architecture of Dipl.

Architect Thomas Mang is the stellar expression of sustainability,

elegance and sophistication in which the room itself is veritably

transformed into a paradigm work of art.

ART GUIDANCE – AN UNCANNY

FEEL FOR WHAT IS EXTRAORDINARY

Art is the key to unlock the soul of every room. For Thomas Mang

Studio that means it is not simply a decorative element, but rather

is an integral part of the overall composition of a room. Works of

art have a tectonic ability to transform a room, to breathe a special

kind of life into it, and to provoke a strikingly emotional resonance.

Through his unerring touch for the extraordinary and the right way

to set an accent through art guidance, Dipl. Architect Thomas

Mang succeeds in enriching each project an additional unexpected

step through unique works of art which amplify both the substance

and the atmosphere of a room. Art guidance extends way

beyond threadbare selection and placement of art – it pursues the

aim of turning each work of art into a living, breathing part of the

room, thereby lending the room a deeper significance. Seen from

this vantage point, art becomes an indispensable element which is

not only an aesthetic experience for those who view it, it injects an

uplifting emotional and intellectual level into it.

INNOVATION AND EXCELLENCE

With a highly qualified team of talented designers, architects and

art guides, Thomas Mang Studio sets its sights on a lodestar combination

of tradition and innovation. Thomas Mang Studio has the

reputation of achieving cutting-edge ranks of excellence and both

emanating and maintaining those standards, through consistently

treading new paths in design without for a moment losing sight of

the timeless principles and core tenets of eternal aesthetics and

functionality.

Located directly at the harbour of Puerto Portals, a visit to the

IN THE ARTISTIC HEART OF PALMA

It goes quite without saying: the very first impressions of Mallorca are

best garnered in the capital city of Palma. It numbers among the oldest

cities in the world and bears witness to a bevy of cultural influences.

The fact that the people here manifest an unusually deep feeling

for art is amply demonstrated by the high quality of art galleries and

exhibitions. A fabulous place where art, cafés, interior decoration and

fashion merge and unite into an imposing and diverse whole. This

lavishness is embodied by Rialto Living – including an art gallery which

changes its holdings every month. Also the exhibitions in the four major

rooms of the former City Palace “Casal Solleric” are bursting with

expressiveness. In addition, the Es Baluard Museum of modern and

contemporary art has a name which resonates far and wide. It exhibits

more than 500 art works of national and international artists who have

some kind of special connection to the island. An absolute must for

all art lovers is the Museum Miró Mallorca, boasting more than 7000

works of art by Miró and his contemporaries.

Outside the City Centre, a visit to the pulsating heart of the “scene”

Santa Catalina with its traditional windmills, boutiques and cafés is

something that simply must not be missed. And, truth be told, a visit to

the Banys Àrabs – the oldest relict of Moorish architecture in Mallorca

– deserves full-fledged attentiveness.

Discovery tours awaken the appetite in more ways than one, and that

is where the typical “ensaimadas” provide the perfect snack. They, in

turn, awaken appetite for more lucullan delights, like those which can

be savoured at the Fera Restaurant or can be satisfied in the Yara Portals

in Puerto Portals. Palma is also well-known for its dream-cometrue

hotels, such as Can Bordoy, Ars Magna Belisure Hotel, El Llorenç,

Can Cera or Hotel de Mar Gran Meliá.

F80, W1 AND VALHALLA ARE REACHING

FOR AND TESTING THE TECHNICAL AND

PHYSICAL BORDERS OF WHAT IS POSSIBLE,

ONCE AGAIN, AND THEREBY FORM THE SPEAR-

HEAD OF HYPERCARS WHICH ARE PERMITTED

FOR CONVENTIONAL STREET TRAFFIC.

FAST – FASTER – FERRARI

The F80 is oriented on the iconic Ferraris of the past in a visual

sense, yet ticking and purring beneath the fluid body work are the

very best components of modern-day sports car technology and

Formula 1. This hypercar is powered by a V6-biturbo, supported by

three electric motors from which an overall system performance of

1200 hp results. In order to whip the F80 to 100 km/hr in a mindbending

2.15 seconds, the power is distributed into all four wheels.

Whoever is versed in Ferrari technology knows that performance in

the curves is more important than blunt-force acceleration. Active

aerodynamics and a sensitively adaptive chassis, in other words the

driving and coupled axles, are what deliver the necessary support

and crescendo in record-breaking times for the whole round. Even

more impressive than the pure-and-simple numbers of the F80 is

its exclusivity: Ferrari will decide who will own the new hypercar

and who won’t.

HIGH-PERFORMANCE & MIND-BLOWING

ATTAINMENT

McLaren follows on its heels with the W1 and a completely different

approach: instead of four-wheel drive, the Brits have remained loyal

to the “widowmaker” image and quite consciously have placed

their bets on rear-wheel drive. Also beneath the bonnet of the W1,

electric and petrol motors work in tandem, together achieving 1275

hp and 1340 Nm. The sprint to 100 km/hr is accomplished in 2.7

seconds and its maximum speed is clocked at a breathtakingly impressive

350 km/hr. In spite of the enormous performance, the W1

manages to tip the scales at only 1399 kilograms dry weight, comparatively

light, due to the fact that the chassis is made completely

of carbon. According to McLaren this downright mind-boggling

performance is all a consequence of its successful engagement in

Formula 1. One thing is clear as crystal: with the W1, the Brits have

placed a worthy successor of F1 and P1 on the road.

LIMITED EDITION. ELEGANT DESIGN.

POWERFUL.

While Porsche is still tinkering with (and presumably racking its

brains over) the successor to the 918, Aston Martin unveils a surprise:

a veritably divine supercar. The Valhalla takes advantage of a V8-

biturbo by AMG, brought to culmination by three electric motors.

The overall system output comes to 1079 hp, requires four-wheel

drive, and therewith the exclusive Aston lays back the sprint to 100

km/hr in 2.5 seconds. Also the traditional British brand has learned

lessons from Formula 1 and optimised the first midship supercar

through its engagement on the racetrack. With 999 exemplars, the

Valhalla – just like its competitors – is strictly limited. That said, in

view of the splendid design and highest driving targets impressively

reached there is little doubt that the Valhalla will be sold out in the

shortest imaginable time.

F80, W1 and Valhalla are reaching for and testing the technical and

physical borders of what is possible, once again, and thereby form

the spearhead of hypercars which are permitted for conventional

street traffic. Formula 1 hybrid technology has established itself as

the new worldwide standard. Yet on that fundamental undisputed

basis, the question still remains: when will the limits be reached?

GlobeAir is pleased to announce significant steps ushering the company

into the future. The construction of a brand-new hangar in Linz expands

the possibilities of the company considerably. The state-of-the-art facility

extending over 1200 square metres of surface area will provide a centralized

maintenance zone offering an intelligent internal infrastructure for a

growing fleet – an important step in the ongoing development of private

air travel.

MORE ROOM, IMPROVED SERVICE

The opening of the hangar was completed and celebrated at the end of

2024. It set a major substantive milestone for GlobeAir. The hangar boasts

space for up to eight aircraft and in addition contains modern offices,

rooms for training courses, a pilots’ lounge and a spare parts warehouse.

These expanded surfaces heighten the efficiency and ensure the ultimate

degree of care and maintenance for the aircraft.

Apart from the additional spaces thereby gained, GlobeAir is now in a

position to improve their service yet a further notch. A specialised maintenance

team has been granted direct access to the best equipment,

tools and resources in order to carry out maintenance work faster and

more efficiently. Thereby, the jets are always in top condition and can

be made ready for flight even more rapidly. The investment in infrastructure

demonstrates the long-term engagement of GlobeAir for first-class

service and the highest obtainable safety standards.

BIGGER, FASTER, FURTHER

On a parallel track to this, GlobeAir is also modernising its fleet. The triedand-tested

Cessna Citation Mustang jets will be replaced successively

by the more powerful model Citation M2 Gen2. These new jets provide

more comfort, a longer flight range and higher capacity – perfectly in

harmony with the wishes of modern-day travellers. Through this renovation,

GlobeAir heightens the experience of flying to a brand-new level,

delivering higher performance, better fuel efficiency and an even more

pleasant flight interior.

The Citation M2 Gen2 is a modern jet with augmented avionics, higher

flying speeds and premium installations. With this step GlobeAir sets

new standards for comfort and efficiency in private air travel. The spa-

cious interior, the ergonomic seats and the modern

technology add up to a highly pleasant overall flight

experience.

THE FUTURE BEGINS NOW

By the year 2030 GlobeAir plans to operate a fleet of

25 to 30 Citation M2 jets and thereby, to further enhance

its position as the leading provider in the private

jet segment. Thanks to the efficiency of the M2 Gen2

aircraft, GlobeAir can continue to offer both luxurious

and reliable flights – and that, plus a maximum of flexibility

and comfort. This conversion to a new fleet will

guarantee that every trip with GlobeAir is an exclusive

experience.

Sustainability also plays an essential role. The new M2

fleet, through improved fuel efficiency, contributes in

major ways to reducing CO 2

emissions. In addition to

that, GlobeAir is also working diligently on the implementation

of sustainable aircraft fuel (SAF) as well

as integrating further measures into their ongoing

operations. Thus, luxury is melded with responsible

business strategy for the future.

FULFILS HIGHEST DEMANDS

Through the modernisation of the fleet and the

expansion of its internal infrastructure, GlobeAir remains

a pioneer in private air travel. The latest developments

not only assure first-class service, but also

are a guarantee to its clients that their own everincreasing

expectations are met and exceeded. The

demand for individual flight solutions continues to

grow, and GlobeAir is ready and prepared to meet

the needs and fulfil the demands with its perfect

mixture of comfort, efficiency and luxury.

GlobeAir persists firmly and loyally to its original

claim: innovation, safety and excellent service stand

at the top of the list of priorities. Through state-ofthe-art

technology and planning which is thought

out from A to Z, the company offers luxurious, efficient

and seamlessly smooth flight experiences.

Regardless whether for business purposes or private

trips, GlobeAir will make sure that every journey

unfolds in relaxed ways, in great style, and with

no effort.

UUnder the highly competent direction of the company, an ambitious

project was turned to reality which renovated not only the

pool, but the entire garden tract.

“An organic pool unites all the advantages of a swimming pool

with those of a pond resting in nature. Thereby, bathing in an organic

pool becomes an experience utterly without any chemical

additives, since the water plants, which serve as the hallmark of all

swimming ponds, support the purely biological filter system and

provide truly natural processes of water purification and quality.

Clear, geometric forms dominate in the design of this organic pool.

It is then perfected with a filter basin that serves as an independent

tank beneath a wooden deck or as a raised reservoir with overflow,”

illuminates CEO Hannes Eder.

THE TOP-TO-TOE RENOVATION ...

... of this organic pool demonstrates just how meticulous design

and a love of detail can generate a space which is not only beautiful

for the eye to behold but also fulfils a deeper purpose and meaning.

The first step in renovating the pool was to remove the old

stone construction in order to establish ample room for a brand

new, modern aesthetic creation. The antiquated pump technology

was removed and replaced by a state-of-art efficient organic pool

filter technology which implements a perfect symbiosis between

ecology and comfort. By constructing new concrete walls the

depth of the pool was reduced to 1.5 metres. A powerful turbine

counter-current system then raised the swimming experience to an

undreamed niveau. Outside of that, an infinity rim was constructed

which drew all views to the majestic beauties of the Wilder Kaiser

radiance of the sun. With the "Allegretto" collection, LA PREZIOSA

celebrates the lightness and cheerfulness of life. The dancing ring

of diamonds symbolizes freedom. All of the jewellery pieces in the

collection can easily be combined with one another.

“So-called 'stacking' – wearing a variety of jewellery pieces adjacent

to or right on top of one another – is a trend that simply never loses

its momentum. Our 'Allegretto' rings, armbands and necklaces are

superbly suited for this trend,” explains Gamper. “Precisely their combination

of diverse gold tones and hues is what lends these pieces of

jewellery a very particular lustre and glamour.”

THE "HIGH-JEWELLERY" COLLECTION …

... contains opulent specimens of jewellery that truly make dreams

come true. This collection comprises extraordinary valuables, most

of them are unique pieces or released in a numbered, strictly limited

edition. These are the culmination of precious gemstones, highcarat

diamonds and masterful design achieving the pinnacle of luxury.

“With our inborn feeling for design and our long years of experience

and know-how as experts in stones and diamonds, we view

the 'High-Jewellery' collection as the royal road of our creative trail,”

illuminates Hannes Gamper. “Each and every gemstone is different

and, in its own way, utterly unique. Its precious stones are reserved

for a grand entrance or for that very special occasion.” Meticulously

selected and rare precious gems such as tourmaline, for example,

such as pearls and diamonds, are the heart of the collection whose

hand-finished pieces each have a strong character and reflect the

individuality of the person who wears them.
