BIODEGRADABLE
“Biodegradable“ means that a product can be
broken down by micro-organisms. Biodegradable
products with the OECD test series 301 (A-F)
label biodegrade easily under natural conditions
with oxygen.
A product may be designated as “biodegradable”
if more than 60% of the total organic carbon has
been broken down within 28 days. In the case of
complete biodegradation, a biodegradable cutting
oil is broken down completely into carbon dioxide,
water and biomass.
SWISSCUT DECO BX achieves biodegradability
through carefully selected additives and the use
of renewable raw materials.

DECO BX is not considered cytotoxic according
to ISO 10993-5. In this demanding test,
no impact on the viability of somatic cells by
the cutting oil was recorded.
