RESILIENCE
Trustee Chair’s Remarks
As we close out another Board year at Cedarcrest, I am
reminded of the extraordinary dedication that defines
this organization. Every day, our talented staff bring
skill, compassion, and determination to their work;
supporting children and young adults whose courage
and resilience inspire us all. It has been a privilege to
witness the progress made this year and the steady advancement toward the
goals of our strategic plan.
Cedarcrest is fortunate to have a strong and capable leadership team
guiding the way forward. Their insight, professionalism, and commitment
have positioned the organization for continued growth, even as the broader
political and healthcare landscape presents increasing challenges. The Board
of Trustees and Advisory Council remain deeply committed to supporting this
leadership, ensuring Cedarcrest has the resources, stability, and advocacy
necessary to uphold its mission now and into the future.
This year, we were delighted to welcome new staff throughout the organization,
individuals who have quickly become part of the fabric of Cedarcrest.
Their energy, expertise, and dedication help sustain the culture of excellence
that makes Cedarcrest such a special place. Their contributions, alongside
those of our seasoned team members, will continue to strengthen our care,
programs, and community in meaningful ways.
We recognize that the current political climate brings uncertainty, particularly
in areas that directly affect the children and families we serve. We will continue
to advocate, to educate policymakers, and to stand firmly in support of
those who rely on us. Together we will ensure that Cedarcrest remains strong
and steadfast in its commitment to provide exceptional care, giving every
child the opportunity to live, learn, and thrive.
This year also brought exciting progress in our efforts to ensure long-term
sustainability, highlighted by the installation of Cedarcrest’s new solar array.
This important project will generate significant cost savings in the years
ahead, allowing more of our resources to directly support the children,
families, and programs at the heart of our mission. It is a powerful example
of how thoughtful stewardship can fuel innovation and strengthen our future.
As we continue making strong progress toward our strategic plan goals, the
Board remains energized by what lies ahead. Cedarcrest is poised to continue
defining excellence in pediatric complex care, leading with compassion,
advancing with purpose, and serving with unwavering commitment.
On behalf of the entire Board of Trustees, thank you for your generosity,
your belief in our work, and your partnership. Your support ensures that
Cedarcrest can continue to meet the needs of the children and families
who depend on us every day.
