A BIG hello to Alphabet Forest.
We’re going on a journey through various parts
of the Alphabet Forest. This book focuses on
an area with lots of nature, in the shape of a
letter H. All the animals there are named
with the letter H, and all the things they
get up to often happens around words
which begin with the letter H.
We hope you have a lot of fun when
you read the adventure.
After the story ends you see a page with how
many words in the story start with the letter H,
can you count them as you go along and see if
you get the right number at the end.
In the next adventure, it will all be about
the letter ‘I’, introducing new characters
and a wonderful new adventure.
Enjoy the story and have fun.

HAPPY FRIENDS IN THE HOLLOW
Hazel hurried around the hollow, hoping
for a happy adventure. Henry hopped
high, hollering with excitement.
Hope hovered above them, humming
joyfully. Hugo, highly mischievous, hid
behind a hollow log, hoping to hilariously
surprise someone. Harmony, humble
and kind-hearted, helped gather healthy
snacks. Hazel hinted that God had
hidden wonderful things in the forest
for hearts willing to look. Henry howled
happily, and Hugo heaved a dramatic
sigh of hunger. Hope fluttered her wings,
encouraging harmony between them all.
With hearts full of hope, the friends
headed out to hike the hollow’s hidden
paths.

HUGO’S HILARIOUS HUSTLE
Hugo hurried ahead, hoping to have heroic
moments. Instead, he hopped into a heap
of honeysuckle vines and hung helplessly.
Henry hollered with laughter. Hazel
hurried to help. Hope hovered, humming
in concern. Harmony heaved Hugo free
with her helpful hooves. Hugo hid his
embarrassment behind a huge grin. Hazel
reminded him that heroism happens in
humble hearts, not hurried hustles. Hugo
laughed heartily, grateful for his helpful
friends. Hope highlighted that God helps
those who ask. With humour restored,
Hugo headed along more carefully.
The hollow’s adventure continued with high
spirits and healthy harmony.

HOPE’S HOVERING HINT
Hope hovered high above the hollow,
hearing a heavenly hum drifting through
the trees. Her heart felt a holy hint.
Hazel hurried beneath her, hoping for
clues. Henry hopped closer, eager for
happenings. Harmony held back Hugo,
who was hungry for hilarity rather
than holiness. Hope hovered lower and
highlighted a hidden path, humming
joyfully. Hazel felt her heart warm,
believing God was helping them head the
right way. Henry hopped with high energy.
Harmony held the group together. Hugo
howled dramatically for fun.
With Hope’s heavenly hint, they headed

Henry hurled himself into a high hop over a
huge hollow stump. Hazel held her breath.
Hope hovered anxiously. Harmony hurried
forward to help if needed. Hugo howled
with excitement, hoping Henry would land
hilariously.
Henry’s hop was heroic but he landed
headfirst in a heap of heather. Hazel
hurried to him, heart hammering. Henry
popped up, heather hanging everywhere,
and laughed heartily. Hope’s wings
hummed with relief. Harmony hugged him
gently. Hugo hooted delightedly. Hazel
highlighted how God watches over even the
highest hops.
With hearts lighter, they headed on,
happily humbled.

Hazel held out her tiny hands, helping
the friends across a hollow root bridge.
Henry hesitated but hopped eventually.
Hope hovered, humming harmony over
them. Hugo hurried too fast, nearly

held him steady with her hooves. Hazel’s
helpful heart warmed everyone. She
highlighted how God holds His children
even on hard, hollow paths. Henry
hugged her. Hugo howled a playful
apology for his haste. Hope hovered
proudly, and Harmony happily approved.
Together they headed deeper, hearing
hints of something huge waiting ahead in
the heart of the forest.

THE HUGE H IN THE FOREST
The friends halted, hearts hushed in awe.
Before them stood a huge H shaped from
hollow logs woven with hanging moss.
Hope hovered close, humming softly.
Hazel hurried forward, her heart glowing.
Henry hopped excitedly, examining every
hinge-like branch. Hugo, hilariously
impressed, howled with delight. Harmony
gently explained that the H might stand
for hope, help, healing and the holy heart
of God’s love. Hazel felt humbled.
The hanging moss glowed in heavenly
light. Henry high-fived Hugo. Hope
fluttered happily. Harmony encouraged
them to hold the H’s meaning in their
hearts as they continued.

chapter 7
HARMONY HELPS AGAIN
Heading onward, Henry hopped straight
into a muddy hollow. Hugo howled with
laughter, which made Henry huff with
irritation.
Hazel hurried to help but Harmony handled
it. She hauled Henry out with her helpful
hooves. Hope hovered, humming healing
notes. Harmony reminded Hugo that
humour shouldn’t hurt hearts. Hugo hung
his head, humbled. Henry hugged him,
healing the moment. Hazel highlighted how
God’s harmony heals hurt feelings quickly.
Hope fluttered in agreement.
Together they headed deeper into the
hollow, hearts healthier and humour
restored.

chapter 8
HUGO’S HEARTWARMING HERO MOMENT
Hugo hurried ahead again but halted
when he heard a heavy crack.
A huge branch had fallen, blocking the
hollow path. Hugo heaved his strongest
heave, holding the heavy wood high.
Hope hurried through with a happy hum.
Hazel hustled under safely. Henry hopped
past, hugging Hugo gratefully. Harmony
helped him set the branch to the side.
Hazel cheered Hugo for his hero-like help.
Hugo’s heart hummed happily, hearing
Harmony say God honours a helping
heart.
Hugo howled a joyful howl, humbled
but happy. The friends headed forward,
feeling hope grow.

humming song. Her harmonious voice held
the hollow in stillness.
Hazel felt her heart heal. Henry hopped
softly, hearing holy comfort in the melody.

beauty. Harmony hummed along, her deep
voice holding the harmony. Tiny insects
hurried in, hovering like halos around
Hope. Hazel hugged her gratefully. Henry
held his hands to his heart. Hugo howled
softly in appreciation. Harmony helped the
group see God’s hand in the moment.
Filled with holy happiness, they headed

hooted excitedly, holding back from
causing havoc. Harmony greeted everyone
with grace. The animals hosted a humble
celebration, highlighting hope, healing
and heavenly joy. Hazel thanked God for
His heartwarming help. Henry hugged
everyone he could. Hope hummed a

the friends headed home.

echoed beautifully. The forest hollow
glowed in harmonious hues as they
travelled. Hazel felt humbled by God’s
help throughout the adventure. Henry’s
heart felt healthier. Hugo felt hopeful.
Hope fluttered her wings in gratitude.

through every hill, hazard and hollow.

The Alphabet Forest is a series of 26 short books, from the
letter A to the letter Z.
Written by Rev. Doc. Carl Brettle, with a little help from
artificial intelligence, the story takes a child on a journey
of adventure through the entire alphabet.
Every child learns more through inspiration, imagination,
humour and challenge. The stories introduce new
characters in each letter of the alphabet.
By the time they finish the whole series, they will have
learned or been reminded about over 3,000 words.
Enjoy the journey, laugh together, think together and
ultimately learn together as these short stories encourage
us all to build better relationships, and find out about new
animals along the way.
