FROM THE

PRESIDENT

Submitted by

Jody Webb

As we move further into the season, I’m proud to say that our club is heading in a

truly positive direction. With the recent clarifications and approval of our

bylaws—specifically around Member, Guest/Non-Member Participant, and

Associate Member roles—we’ve taken an important step toward strengthening the

foundation of our club. These updates bring clarity, consistency, and a better

experience for everyone involved.

I want to sincerely thank each of you for your continued participation and

commitment. Whether you’ve been with us for years or are joining us for the first

time as a guest, your presence is what makes this club feel like family. A warm

welcome to all of our new guests—we’re glad you’re here and hope you continue

to be part of the journey with us.

Over the past few months, we’ve experienced quite a bit of transition, especially

with our meeting locations. I appreciate everyone’s patience and flexibility during

that time. It means a lot. I’m excited to say that we are now settled and proud to

call Club One Casino our home base moving forward.

I’d also like to take a moment to reflect on the President’s Mystery Run. From my

perspective, it was a success—with just a few minor hiccups along the way. More

importantly, it was a great time. I truly appreciate everyone who participated,

embraced the mystery, and showed patience throughout the experience. Putting

that event together was a lot of fun for me, and seeing everyone enjoy it made it

all worthwhile.

Looking ahead, I’m excited for what’s next. I encourage everyone to come out and

be part of our upcoming picnic on May 31—it’s shaping up to be a great time for

all. As we move into the heart of run season, I hope you take every opportunity to

get out, drive, connect, and enjoy everything this club has to offer.

Here’s to a fantastic season ahead full of great runs, strong friendships, and

unforgettable memories

APRIL

SUNSHINE &

CLOUDS

By Jill Kroeker

Wow it’s true time really files! 2026 is almost half over already.

May often brings a refreshing sense of renewal with its longer days

and more sunshine. I’m glad to report there is more sunshine news

than clouds this month.

Lori Dukes let us know that her son after 20 years in the United

States Air Force he is now eligible for retirement. He started as an

air traffic controller and worked his way up to Chief of Crypto

Nuclear Operations.

During his career he has served in 9 different locations, dedicating

his life to protecting our country. She couldn’t be prouder of the

man he has become and the service he has given.

Mary Lou Sickler shared that her son David had just got his

deployment orders that morning. She asked for prayers for her son

and all the military. We’re all grateful for the young men and

women who sacrifice themselves to keep us safe. We will keepyour

son in our prayers.

Rick Clymore shared that he will be having knee replacement on

April 27 th . Both knees need to be replaced but he has opted to do

one at a time. Prayers for a speedy recovery.

SUNSHINE & CLOUDS, - page 2

April Update

Debbie Garrison shared that Keith’s daughter is finally home from the

hospital and is progressing well with her PT. She did have so sad

news though, they had to put their sweet dog Buster to sleep. He was

16 years old and suffered from dementia and spinal cord pain. We all

know how hard it is to lose our fur babies.

Debbie’s nephew Steve is now receiving dialysis 3 times a week for

kidney failure due to blood pressure issues.

Harlan Elrich shared at the last meeting that he only has 45 days left

before he retired. He and Brenda will be moving to Pahrump Nevada.

They already have put an offer in on a home there. We are so excited

for them, but we are sure going to miss them both. They promise to

come back to visit.

Charrlotte Renna shared that her and Bob were heading to Pismo for

2 weeks. I saw some of her posted pictures on Facebook and it looks

like they are having a relaxing time with lots of yummy food.

Julie Son’s shared her excitement that her their son Dave and his

family form North Carolina would be coming to California. They had

five of their six children here with their families to help them

celebrate their 40 th wedding anniversary.

Freida Null took her daughter and granddaughters to Oahu Hawaii for

a week. I talked to her this morning, and she said they had a

wonderful time. Only problem was getting back home due to flight

delays.

Finally, let’s remember to keep Craig and Darlene Derringer in our

prayers as they navigate Craig’s health issues.

Update since last meeting: Jody’s mom Becky was diagnosed with

lung cancer and is scheduled to have CT scan on Thursday and then

seeing Oncologist on Friday. Jody hopes to have more to share of her

prognosis in the next few weeks. Please keep her in your prayers.

ROGER ROCKA’S THEATER EVENING

On April 3rd twenty-five of our members

went to Roger Rocka's Theater to see The

Buddy Holly Story.

It was a fun play to see as we all enjoy

hearing the old rock and rock music we grew

up on.

The dinner was wonderful and along with the

play, it makes a great evening out together.

One of our lucky members' name with drawn

for future tickets to The Second Space

Theater.

Congratulations to Barry Motte who was in

the men's room at the time of the drawing.

As he returned to his seat he found out that

he was the lucky winner the MC was calling

for.

PRESIDENTS MYSERY RUN RE-CAP

April 17 th marked the start of the 2026

President’s Mystery Run. 35 People in 16

Corvettes and 2 support vehicles took part in

Jody Webb’s event that started in Madera and led

us to Bodega Bay and Fort Bragg before returning

home. Jimmy Webb is always a great leader, and

he proved this by taking the group through San

Francisco to Fisherman’s wharf for lunch and

then a cable car ride to China town to see how

fortune cookies are made. He then navigated us

down scenic Lombard Street and over the Golden

Gate Bridge through heavy traffic and safely

ended the trip at a beautiful oceanfront Inn

with a movie night in Bodega Bay.

Day 2 was beautiful and it started out with a

trip through the Chandelier Tree in Legget Ca.

We landed in Fort Bragg where we all boarded the

Skunk Train for an evening ride to the Glenn

Blair Bar. An open-air bar with fire pits and

cornhole as well as Great Live music. Pizza was

wonderful, followed by cookies and Amazing

Company.

No one knew where they were headed, but they

definitely made Smiles with every Mile.

It was such a great run and you should

have seen all the swag we received

before we headed off to the ‘unknown’!

Jimmy & Jody certainly know how to make

a great run even better! You two

rocked it!
