Outback Wrap
Outback wrap is a simple hose
identification system that
doesn’t become brittle like
other hose tags or identifiers.
The colour is part of the
molding process so it won’t
fade overtime. The wrap is
primarily utilised in agriculture,
but can also be used on any
equipment that requires cables,
cords, wires, hoses, and also
computer, sound or gaming
equipment to be protected
from wear or damage.
This product helps simplify
connecting equipment to the
tractor with colour and number
identification. Here are some
positives to using Outback Wrap:
ä Can withstand temperatures
from -50 o C to +100 o C
ä It’s Polyethylene so it won’t
crack or fade.
ä They aren’t affected by
grease, oil, or dirt so they
are easily cleaned with any
solvent or soap
ä No tools are required and
they are easily changed to
suit the operator.
Fire Safety
Sticks
The Fire Safety Stick (FSS)
is a manual, portable fire
extinguishing device. It uses
a Potassium ion jet (a unique
method among conventional
fire extinguishers) that works
by interrupting a fire’s chain of
reaction (the ‘auto-catalyst’ of
the fire).
Fire Safety Stick is composed
of stable, solid minerals; it
does not contain gas and is not
pressurised. The aerosol-like
jet is only produced when the
charger is struck with its base.
The produced aerosol jet is free
of thrust and is essentially an
inert salt that emits gas already
present in the atmosphere.
Take a look at some of the
comparisons below to show
why fire safety sticks are a
brilliant idea.
Oxrocks
Adaptors
No more mess – This adapter
makes greasing hassle free.
It converts the old metal
cartridge with plunger into
the new screw cartridges. The
metal cartridge is no longer
required. Just simply remove
the metal cartridge and insert
the oxrock adapter, once you
have tightened, place your
grease cartridge in and tighten
correctly and the grease gun
is good to go. No bleeding
required. It saves time changing
the cartridge and also saves
a lot of mess. Rather than
struggling to remove the
grease cartridge from the metal
cartridge and getting grease
everywhere in the process,
there is now the simplified way
of unscrewing and screwing
back in. Greasing made easy!

Supporting the future of farming finance
hether it’s upgrading machinery, improving
Winfrastructure or managing cash flow between
seasons, access to the right finance can shape the future
of a business. That’s where Farm & Estate Asset Finance
Ltd is carving out its place.
Editor Recommends
Based in Aberdeenshire and established in 2022,
the company focuses on helping farmers and rural
businesses secure funding that genuinely fits the way
they operate. Rather than pushing standard lending
packages, its approach is built around understanding
each client’s situation and finding finance that works
in practice, not just on paper.
Agriculture is unlike most other sectors. Income can be
seasonal, costs are often front-loaded, and long-term
investment is essential. This creates a need for funding
that is both flexible and realistic. Farm & Estate Asset
Finance acts as a link between borrowers and lenders,
helping to structure agreements that reflect the
pressures and opportunities within farming.
A key part of the business is its straightforward,
personal approach. For many farmers, navigating finance
options can feel unnecessarily complicated. By keeping
communication clear and accessible, and by taking the
time to understand individual businesses, the company
aims to remove some of that friction and make the
process more manageable.
There is also a broader shift underway within agricultural
finance. As farms look to diversify, adopt new technologies
and respond to changing market conditions, demand is
growing for advice that is rooted in sector knowledge.
Smaller, specialist firms are increasingly stepping into this
space, offering a level of focus and flexibility that larger
institutions can sometimes struggle to match.
Although still a relatively young company, Farm &
Estate Asset Finance reflects this changing landscape.
Its emphasis on tailored solutions and close client
relationships highlights the importance of understanding
farming not just as a business, but as a way of life shaped
by long-term planning and careful investment.
In an industry where margins are tight and timing is
critical, having the right financial support can make all
the difference. By working closely with its clients and
keeping its approach practical and grounded, Farm
& Estate Asset Finance is helping to ensure that rural
businesses are better equipped for whatever comes next.

Cereals The Arable Event Preview
Driving the next
chapter of UK
agriculture
Cereals is the leading technical event for arable
farmers and will be hosted by Jeremy Clarkson,
Diddly Squat Farm on the 10th & 11th June 2026
Cereals Event 2026 returns this June with
renewed scale, energy and relevance, bringing
Ttogether the very best of the UK’s arable sector
for two days of innovation, networking and practical
insight. The event promises to be one of the most talkedabout
dates in the agricultural calendar, both for its
high-profile setting and its forward-looking agenda.
Widely regarded as the UK’s flagship arable farming
event, Cereals has built its reputation on delivering
hands-on, technically focused experiences that help
farmers, agronomists and industry professionals
stay ahead in a rapidly evolving sector. This year is no
exception. With more than 25,000 visitors expected and
upwards of 550-650 exhibitors in attendance, the event
will once again serve as a vital meeting point for the
entire crop production supply chain.
A key talking point for 2026 is its host venue. Made
famous by Clarkson’s Farm and owned by Jeremy
Clarkson, Diddly Squat Farm provides a unique and
high profile backdrop. Beyond the novelty factor, the site
offers a larger footprint, allowing organisers to expand
features, accommodate more exhibitors and introduce
new attractions that reflect the changing face of modern
agriculture.
At its core, Cereals 2026 is about innovation in action.
Across the site, visitors will find hundreds of exhibitors
showcasing the latest products, services and technologies
shaping the future of farming from seed varieties and
crop protection solutions to machinery, agri-tech and
data-driven systems. The breadth of expertise on display
makes the event not just an exhibition, but a working
hub of ideas where attendees can engage directly with
manufacturers, advisors and fellow professionals.
One of the standout attractions remains the live
machinery demonstrations, where leading brands put
their equipment through its paces in real field conditions.
These sessions offer invaluable insight into performance,
efficiency and practical application, bridging the gap
between theory and on-farm
reality. Complementing this is
the Sprays and Sprayers Arena,
a long-established highlight
that showcases cutting-edge
crop protection technology and
precision application techniques,
alongside live demos from major
manufacturers.
Equally important
is the event’s
strong focus on
knowledge sharing
and agronomic
insight. Features
such as the
Niab Soil Hole
allow visitors to
quite literally
dig beneath the
surface, exploring
soil structure, rotations and regenerative practices in a
tangible, visual way. Meanwhile, the Land Drainage Hub
provides practical guidance on improving productivity and
managing increasingly challenging weather conditions,
topics that are becoming ever more critical in the face of
climate change.
Cereals 2026 also places a clear emphasis on the next
generation of farmers. Initiatives like Kaleb’s Korner,
fronted by Kaleb Cooper will offer a dedicated space for
younger attendees to connect, learn and engage with the
industry. Alongside this, the Young Farmers Programme
and networking reception create opportunities for
collaboration, mentorship and career development,
reinforcing the event’s role in supporting the future
of agriculture.
Beyond the technical and educational elements, there is
also a strong social and networking dimension. Features
such as Jeremy’s Hops & Harmony Bar provide a more
relaxed setting for meetings, conversations and informal
connections, an important aspect of an event that thrives
on bringing people together. These spaces reflect the
broader culture of the industry, where relationships and
shared experience are just as valuable as innovation.
Another highlight is the inclusion of
interactive and engaging features
designed to spark conversation around
wellbeing and lifestyle within the industry. The Farmers
Weekly ‘Britain’s Fittest Farmer’ competition, for example,
adds a lighter, yet meaningful dimension, highlighting
the importance of physical and mental health in a sector
that is becoming more mechanised and, in some ways,
more sedentary.
Despite its scale and growing popularity, Cereals remains
a trade-focused event, open exclusively to farmers and
industry professionals. This ensures that discussions,
demonstrations and networking opportunities remain
highly relevant and practical, maintaining the event’s
long-standing reputation for quality and purpose.
Ultimately, what sets the Cereals Event apart is its
ability to balance tradition with innovation. It honours
the core principles of farming productivity, resilience
and sustainability, while embracing new technologies,
ideas and ways of working. In doing so, it provides a
platform where the industry can not only showcase its
achievements but also confront its challenges head-on.
For more information, please see below:
https://www.thecerealsevent.co.uk
New additions for 2026 further enhance the visitor
experience. With expanded zones, including areas
dedicated to livestock and broader farm diversification,
to reflect the increasingly integrated nature of modern
farming businesses. This evolution ensures the event
remains relevant not only to traditional arable operations
but also to those exploring new income streams and
sustainable practices.

money in all the right
places, and what
shines through is
how the aim is always

AminoA will be exhibiting at the Cereals Event 2026
A
minoA Ltd (AminoA Biostimulants) is a UK-based
agricultural biotechnology company founded in
2014 and based in Cardiff. The company specialises in
highly concentrated crop biostimulants derived from
enzymatically hydrolysed L-α amino acids.
At this year’s Cereals Event, AminoA will place a strong
emphasis on practical, low-input farming. The team will
be demonstrating live low-input crop plots that clearly show
how AminoA BLAAZT enables growers to significantly
reduce nitrogen inputs without compromising
performance. This is achieved by powerfully stimulating
soil microbiology – particularly Protozoa – which
enhances nutrient cycling, improves soil health,
and boosts natural nutrient availability to the crop.
AminoA’s product range – including AminoA STAART,
FLO, GRO, and BLAAZT – is designed to work alongside
conventional fertilisers and crop protection programmes
rather than replacing them. These highly concentrated
formulations improve nutrient uptake, strengthen
root systems, and help crops cope with environmental
stresses such as drought, heat, and chemical pressure.
The products deliver proven benefits across arable crops,
horticulture, fruit production, vineyards, and protected
cropping systems.
In addition, for NFU members, ATVTrac offers further
benefits with the potential to make significant savings
on insurance too, even more so when combined with a
security marking system.

Fruehauf: Pioneering trailer
engineering in the UK
B
uilt in Lincolnshire, in the rural heart of the
country, Fruehauf has a heritage spanning more
than 115 years. From its early beginnings to
its current position as the United Kingdom’s leading
manufacturer of bulk tipping trailers, the company has
consistently evolved to meet the changing demands of
the haulage and logistics industries. Today, Fruehauf ’s
influence extends beyond the UK, with expanding
operations across Ireland, reinforcing its reputation
as a trusted name in trailer manufacturing.
With two-thirds of their customers coming from the
farming community, Fruehauf has a deep-rooted
passion for agriculture, which was the fire that sparked
the collaboration between Cereals and Fruehauf for the
2026 event, being held at Diddly Squat Farm. The strong
connection to the industry is not only reflected in the
products it manufactured here within the UK, but also
its ongoing commitment to supporting farmers across
the Nation.
Innovation is a core value at Fruehauf, clearly
demonstrated by the launch of the Fruehauf Hydraulic
Drive Bulk Blower Trailer. This marked the company’s
first major product introduction in several years and
represented a bold entry into the animal feed market.
Designed with efficiency and practicality in mind, the
Bulk Blower provides farmers with a reliable solution
for transferring feed materials directly into silos,
streamlining on-farm operations and reducing handling
time. Engineered with an AliBulk body and no internal
electrics, the design prioritises simplicity and reliability,
minimising potential points of failure while ensuring
consistent performance in demanding agricultural
environments.
The Hydraulic Drive Bulk Blower Trailer will be showcased
on Fruehauf’s stand at Cereals, where a team of industry
professionals will be on hand to answer any questions and

Defending British farmers:
Why CESAR still matters
pend any time around an arable farm and you’ll
know – timing is everything. Windows are tight,
Smargins tighter, and when things go wrong, they
tend to do so at exactly the worst moment.
That’s what makes machinery theft more than just an
inconvenience. It’s not just about the value of what’s taken
– it’s about when it’s taken.
Out in the countryside, the reality doesn’t always match
the postcard image. Rural crime is organised, targeted
and persistent. GPS units disappear from tractor roofs
overnight. Quad bikes are lifted in minutes. Larger kit –
telehandlers, tractors – can be gone before anyone notices,
often moved on or out of the country within hours.
And when that happens mid-season, the impact isn’t
theoretical. It’s immediate.
A problem that hasn’t gone away
Figures from the 2025 NFU Mutual Rural Crime Report
make it clear this isn’t a marginal issue. Machinery theft
continues to cost millions each year, with quad bikes and
ATVs among the most commonly targeted with around
1,000 stolen annually across England and Wales.
This isn’t opportunistic crime. It’s planned, it’s efficient
and increasingly it’s difficult to counter with traditional
measures alone.
Why CESAR has become the baseline
Against that backdrop, the industries official security and
registration scheme, CESAR, has quietly become part of
the fabric of modern farm security.
As the UK’s only police-approved equipment registration
scheme, CESAR works on a simple principle: make
machinery harder to steal – and even harder to sell on.
CESAR achieves this through a combination of visible
and covert marking supplied by security marking experts
DATATAG. The familiar white triangular identification
plates act as an immediate and visible deterrent.
Backing this up and carefully concealed beneath the
surface, high frequency RFID transponders, microscopic
Datadots®, unique forensic DNA and a secure national
police accessible database give every machine a traceable
identity that’s extremely difficult to remove.
It’s not about making bold claims – it’s about shifting the
odds. And in practice, CESAR marked machines are far
less attractive targets.
From factory floor to farmyard
One of the clearest signs of CESAR’s impact is how widely it’s
been adopted by the agricultural world. Major manufacturers
such as John Deere, JCB and Case New Holland fit it as
standard on new machines, and retrofitting older kit not
protected is both straightforward and cost-effective.
That growing uptake matters. Theft often comes down
to risk versus reward – anything that complicates
de-identification or makes resale riskier tends to push
criminals elsewhere.
There are practical benefits, too. Many insurers recognise
CESAR when setting premiums, with significant savings
from major insurers like the NFU Mutual. Unlike
subscription-based schemes, CESAR is a one-off installation
and registration that stays with the machine for life.
Seen here, used everywhere
Events like Cereals are about progress – new ideas, new
technologies and addressing the realities of modern
farming life. Security is an increasingly important part of
that conversation, whether it’s front of mind or not.
CESAR isn’t new, and that’s part of its strength. It’s a
proven, widely recognised scheme backed by the industry
and is increasingly expected by end users.
Because while the setting might be picturesque – even
here at Diddly Squat – the challenges facing farmers are
anything but. And when it comes to protecting the kit that
keeps everything moving, practical solutions still count
for a lot.
CESAR: Agricultural machine security made simple.

Electrification of farming:
Building resilient,
future-ready farms
generate additional income through exporting surplus
power back to the grid. For energy-intensive businesses,
this can significantly improve both operational efficiency
and financial performance.
E
nergy is no longer a routine overhead for UK
agriculture; it is now a key driver of profitability,
resilience and long-term sustainability. With
electricity prices still volatile and pressure mounting
to decarbonise, more farms are investing in renewable
technologies to take control of their energy supply.
RenEnergy UK Ltd is helping farms make that
transition through tailored solar PV and battery energy
storage solutions designed specifically for agricultural
operations. From grain drying and cold storage to
livestock units and packhouses, farms are increasingly
dependent on reliable electricity supplies. RenEnergy’s
integrated approach enables businesses to reduce reliance
on the grid, improve operational resilience and unlock
long-term savings.
Rather than viewing energy as a fluctuating overhead,
many farms are now treating it as a strategic business
asset. RenEnergy supports this shift by combining
technologies including roof-mounted and groundmounted
solar PV systems, solar PV vehicle ports with
EV charging infrastructure and Battery Energy Storage
Systems (BESS). Flexible financing options, including
Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), alongside postinstallation
asset management support, ensure each
system is tailored to the individual farm’s infrastructure,
operational requirements and future growth plans.
Making the most of existing farm infrastructure
One of the major advantages of agricultural solar PV
is the ability to utilise existing infrastructure. Farm
buildings such as grain stores, livestock sheds and
packing facilities can be transformed into energygenerating
assets without affecting productivity.
RenEnergy works closely with customers throughout
installation to minimise disruption and ensure systems
are aligned with seasonal workloads and operational
demands.
Battery storage is also becoming an increasingly
important part of farm electrification strategies. By
storing excess solar energy for use during peak demand
periods, farms can reduce exposure to high electricity
tariffs, improve resilience during grid instability and even
Case Study: P.G. Rix Farms and Stourgarden
A strong example of this approach in action is P.G. Rix
Farms and Stourgarden in Suffolk. Operating 364 days
a year and supplying over 100,000 tonnes of onions
annually, the business relies heavily on uninterrupted
energy for drying, storage and processing operations.
Working with RenEnergy, the business implemented a
multi-phase renewable energy strategy that now includes
1.99MWp of installed solar capacity, 4,790 solar panels
and 32 inverters. The system has helped stabilise energy
costs, improve supply chain reliability and support the
company’s sustainability goals.
Meet the team at Cereals 2026
Cereals 2026 provides the perfect opportunity for
farmers to explore how renewable energy technologies
can support their businesses both now and in the future.
RenEnergy will be showcasing its Solar PV Vehicle Port
on Stand 232, and will be happy to discuss how renewable
technologies can be applied across modern farming
operations on your farm.
Seminar Spotlight: ‘Electrification of Farming:
The Challenges + Opportunities’
RenEnergy’s Sales Director, Tom Lloyd, will also be
delivering a seminar titled ‘Electrification of Farming:
The Challenges + Opportunities’ on the Seed to Shelf
Stage on Wednesday 10th June at 10:30am and Thursday
11th June at 2:30pm. The presentation will explore
enhancing existing solar subsidies such as Feed-in Tariffs
(FiTs), electrifying farm fleets and unlocking additional
value through battery storage systems.
As farms continue to balance economic pressures with
environmental responsibilities, renewable energy is
increasingly proving to be a practical and commercially
viable route to stronger, more resilient agricultural
businesses. RenEnergy continues to support that
transition with solutions designed around the realities of
modern farming.
Futureproofing farm businesses through energy
independence
As agricultural businesses continue to modernise,
electricity demand is only expected to rise. From
automated grain handling systems and refrigeration to
electric vehicles and future machinery electrification,
farms are becoming increasingly energy dependent.
This makes long-term energy planning more important
than ever.
RenEnergy works with farming businesses to create
systems that not only reduce immediate energy costs
but also support long-term operational resilience and
sustainability goals. By integrating solar PV generation
with battery storage and smart energy management,
farms can gain greater control over when and how energy
is used across the business.
Grid constraints and connection delays are now a real
barrier for many rural businesses. By generating and
storing more power on-site, farms can protect critical
operations during outages and reduce exposure to peakprice
periods. This resilience is increasingly important for
cold storage, drying, processing and livestock systems.
Tailored solutions for modern agriculture
No two farms operate in the same way, which is why
RenEnergy takes a tailored approach to every project.
Systems are designed around each farm’s infrastructure,
energy profile, diversification plans and future ambitions.
Whether installing roof-mounted solar on existing
buildings or exploring opportunities for battery storage
and EV charging infrastructure, the focus remains on
delivering practical, commercially viable solutions that
fit around day-to-day farming operations.

Safeguarding the future of
British farming
Cereals The Arable Event Preview
s the combines roll out for another harvest
and growers convene at the Cereals event, a
Areoccurring conversation continues – the need
to protect the modern farm business. Rural crime,
once seen as an occasional inconvenience, now poses a
persistent operational risk, threatening profitability,
staff wellbeing and long-term confidence throughout
the agricultural sector. Theft of machinery, diesel
and liquid fertiliser, trespassing, fly tipping and
livestock losses are no longer rare occurrences
but frequent challenges for farmers and land
managers.
This growing concern has prompted the
emergence of businesses like Rural
Safeguard, which, though still in its
infancy, reflects a wider movement
in UK agriculture: one focused
on resilience, vigilance and
affordable protection. Security
today is far more complex
than locking a gate at night.
Farms have become highvalue
enterprises, managing
expensive GPS-guided machinery, substantial
fuel stores, chemical inputs, renewable energy
infrastructure and digital data systems. Organised
gangs increasingly target rural businesses, exploiting
isolated locations, limited overnight activity and the
vastness rural police must cover.
For arable businesses, the focus at Cereals often
centres on machinery investment and precision
farming. Yet every technological leap brings with it
a responsibility: safeguarding these investments.
Across the UK, farmers now adopt a more professional
approach to rural security. Solar-powered camera
systems appear in remote yards and entrances; tracking
devices are standard on tractors, ATVs and trailers;
motion-activated lighting, reinforced doors and
secure fuel storage are seen as business essentials,
not optional extras.
Rural SafeGuard security specialists stress that robust
protection comes not from a single product, but from
creating layers of defence. Effective farms deploy
multiple deterrents: locked gates, visible cameras,
forensic marking, alarms and neighbour awareness.
Criminals may breach one barrier, but several obstacles
dramatically reduce their chances of success.
Layered security also extends to land management.
Small changes in farm layout – removing unused
access points, creating vehicle barriers, maintaining
boundaries and clear signage – can make a significant
difference. Criminals seek easy opportunities;
uncertainty and delay often make them give up
and move on elsewhere.
Technology is reshaping risk monitoring.
Mobile-connected cameras allow farmers to
check livestock, machinery yards and fuel
tanks remotely, whether from the cab of a
combine or field miles away.
However, technology is only part of the
solution. The strongest protection in rural
communities remains behavioural. British
agriculture is built on a powerful sense of
community – farmers talk, contractors
share information, neighbours notice unusual activity.
Crime reduction schemes and local watch groups prove
their worth by creating collective awareness, allowing
everyone to adapt behaviours and foster a protective
culture.
At events like Cereals, these conversations are
invaluable. Growers exchange practical security advice:
which tracking systems have led to the recovery of
stolen machinery, which cameras work best despite
poor connectivity, and how estates can balance public
access with biosecurity and safety.
The financial impact of rural crime is significant.
Machinery downtime during drilling or harvest may cost
more than the value of the equipment itself. Delayed
operations, insurance excesses and replacement lead
times all add pressure to businesses already coping
with volatile markets and unpredictable weather.
Beyond economics, the emotional toll must not be
overlooked. For many farming families, rural crime
is deeply personal. Farms are homes, heritage and
livelihoods built over generations. Discovering
vandalised property, cut fences or stolen machinery
brings more than monetary loss – frustration,
anxiety and a sense of violation often linger
long after insurers have settled claims.
Thus, crime reduction matters. A proactive security
culture restores confidence. Staff training, regular
risk reviews and clear reporting procedures contribute
to stronger, more resilient operations. Increasingly,
landowners recognise the value of specialist rural
L-R: Frank Cannon, CSyP, Programme Director
& Charlie Frank, CSyP, Associate Consultant
security advisors who understand agricultural realities,
rather than generic commercial solutions.
The future of farm security will blend traditional rural
common sense with advanced technology. Artificial
intelligence-enabled surveillance, remote monitoring
and integrated tracking systems are entering the
market. Yet, even as systems evolve, the fundamentals
endure: deterrence, detection and delays that enable a
unified community response.
For agriculture, this shift signals more than a reaction
to crime. It marks a professionalisation of crime risk
management. Modern farming is data-driven, mechanised
and capital intensive. Protecting those assets is as vital
as managing soil health, machinery or crop nutrition.
This message will resonate at this year’s Cereals event.
Alongside discussions of yield, regenerative practices
and input costs, safeguarding the farm business is now
a pillar of the resilience agenda.
Rural Safeguard may be a name preparing to enter
the marketplace, but the principle behind it is well
established. British agriculture is recognising that
rural protection is not just about reacting after crime,
but building farms and estates that are harder targets,
stronger communities and more secure businesses
for the future.
In a sector built on long-term thinking, investing in
security and community resilience may well be one
of the most important commitments British farming
makes.

Key innovations include the DNA
Auto Spore Sampler, which combines
automated air sampling with molecular
analysis to rapidly identify specific crop
pathogens. This enables near real-time
insights, allowing growers to respond
quickly and accurately to emerging
disease risks.
Complementing this is the Aerial Vortis
Sampler, a robust, high-efficiency
device designed for reliable airborne
particle collection in field conditions,
supporting consistent monitoring
across diverse environments.
What sets the business apart is its
emphasis on real-time, data-driven
decision-making. Its automated systems
help optimise spray timing and reduce
unnecessary chemical use, delivering
both economic and environmental
benefits. At the show, Agri Samplers Ltd
will offer a clear view of how precisionled
technologies are shaping the future
of sustainable agriculture.

Adblue and Adblue Issues
If a tractor or other farm equipment
has is equipped with a Selective
Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system
(as most modern diesel engines are)
then you will be using Adblue. SCRs
use Adblue to reduce harmful nitrogen oxide (NOx)
emissions, helping to meet stricter Euro 6, and
beyond, emission standards and improve air quality.
AdBlue is a diesel exhaust fluid, a solution of urea
and de-ionized water that is injected into the
exhaust system, upstream of the SCR, of diesel
vehicles. Here the chemical reaction converts
NOx into nitrogen and water reducing pollution
and meeting stricter emission standards. AdBlue
is essential to the SCR System.
Adblue issues
There are a few issues that effect Adblue systems.
The most common, and potentially expensive, is the
Adblue system getting blocked by Crystallisation.
Crystallisation in the AdBlue system happens
when the exhaust gases are not hot enough to
react properly with AdBlue.
The AdBlue does not
completely turn into ammonia.
When this happens, cyanuric
crystals can form which can
contaminate the system and
block the AdBlue injector,
eventually affecting the
running of the vehicle.
Can the agricultural
environment lead to
crystallisation?
Yes, agricultural conditions can
contribute to the crystallisation
of AdBlue, which can cause
issues for farmers. There are some factors related
to agricultural environments that can increase
the likelihood of AdBlue crystallizing or becoming
ineffective:
Temperature variations
Cold Weather: AdBlue begins to freeze at
temperatures below around -11°C (12°F). In many
agricultural settings, especially during colder
months, the temperature can drop significantly.
If AdBlue is stored or used in cold conditions
without proper precautions, it can crystallise
and block the system.
Fluctuating Temperatures, going from very cold
to warm. This can cause the AdBlue to freeze
and thaw repeatedly, potentially leading to the
crystallisation of urea.
Frequent refills
Frequent exposure to air when farmers frequently
open the AdBlue tank to refill it, there’s a risk
that the additive could come into contact with
moisture in the air. Humid or damp conditions
can increase the likelihood of crystallisation.
The solution (and prevention) of Adblue crystallisation
Ceroil AdBlue Injector Cleaner contains a formula
specially developed to clean dirty urea injectors
and SCR catalysts. This prevents and removes
crystallisation, reducing performance loss. It
will clean and prevent damaging crystallisation
throughout the whole AdBlue and SCR system.
Periodic use is recommended as a preventive
measure against breakdowns.

Innovation, industry, and rural connection
Farm Expo 2026 at the
Kent Showground took
place on 4th March.
Farm Expo 2026 delivered
a lively and well-attended
industry event that clearly
reflected the continued
strength and evolution of the
agricultural and rural business
sectors in Kent. Organised
under the wider remit of the
Kent County Agricultural
Society, the event formed part of the Society’s broader
mission to support agriculture, horticulture, forestry
and rural education across the county.
From the moment gates opened at 8:30am through
to closing at 5pm, the showground maintained a
strong sense of energy. With record numbers of both
exhibitors and visitors reported by organisers, the
atmosphere throughout the day was consistently busy,
with stands drawing steady footfall and conversations
ranging from farm innovation
and sustainability to financial
planning and supply chain
resilience, including a mix
of attendees who helped
create a practical, businessfocused
environment rather
than a purely promotional
exhibition.
One of the strengths of
Farm Expo 2026 was the
breadth of its exhibitor base.
Agricultural suppliers, professional services firms,
and agritech businesses were all well represented.
The presence of headline sponsor Talis Independent
Financial Advisers, alongside key supporters such as
Brachers LLP, BTF Partnership, Whitehead Monckton
Solicitors, Lambert and Foster LLP, Thomas Bell Fertiliser
Importers, Kent Design Studio Ltd, Azets, Niab, Frontier
Agriculture, and MHA, highlighted how interconnected
modern farming has become with finance, consultancy,
science, and legal services.
Farm Expo Review
Facilities on-site were practical and well managed.
Free parking, clear stewarding, and accessible disabled
parking provisions helped the day run smoothly. The
allowance of dogs on short leads also contributed
to a relaxed rural atmosphere that suited the
event’s audience. Catering options from the pop-up
restaurant in the John Hendry building and external
food vendors ensured visitors could remain on-site
comfortably throughout the day.
What stood out most was the sense that Farm Expo is not
just an exhibition, but a networking hub where ideas are
exchanged as much as products. While it did not have the
scale of larger county shows, it successfully delivered
a more focused, industry-driven experience that
appealed to working farmers and rural professionals.
Tickets for Farm Expo 2027 will launch in Autumn 2026.
